1.Extremely glad that you are learning and following Sanatan Dharma. 2. One correction - The Evil and the Good have always been in residing in our body. It did not just start in Kaliyugam. Every living organism including human has always been good and evil from inside. 3. The reason for your misconception is the route you have followed or have been directed to follow. You seem to be stuck in Puranas and Itihasas. 4. Unfortunately (in my opinion), Sanatan dharma and its literature have progressed from simple straightforward Vedas and vedic period to still fairly straight forward extract - Upanishads (Bhagwat Gita though presented as a dialogue between Krishna and Arjun is in reality just one of the upanishads) to complicated and full of metaphors, symbolism and fictious content puranas and itihasas and multiple so called gods. 5. Just a clarification, Ved Vyas was not one person. Nor one person wrote puranas, or itihasas, or upanishads (including Gita) or vedas. These are work of multiple generations of sages over centuries. 6. Most people I have talked to as they grew up lost faith in, developed doubts about or are no longer convinced by puranas and numerous aspects of itihasas. Many are not even convinced by Bhagwad Gita. They never reached to vedas or adwait vaad theory to really understand and appreciate what a true Sanatan religion is.

Hey Janani, I just wanted to post some of my own original insights after reflecting upon what you have said regarding desire. While I do concede to some of your arguments for the detrimental consequence that the notion of desire can entail (which are primarily anxiety-driven), I would contend that we can still hold desires while remaining “detached” from the outcome of your actions. Since I am 18 years of age, I would like to discuss the notion of desire within the scope of my academic pursuits; for a significant amount of time, I was confronted with the dichotomous relationship with setting high expectations and doing well academically (which, in retrospect, allowed me to consider the oxymoronic nature of having setting challenging objectives for oneself). This situation allowed me to reflect upon one of the most influential quotes from the Bhagavad Gita, where Lord Krishna consoles Arjuna by saying, “Do your duty, but do not concern yourself with the results. We have the right to do our duty, but the results are not dependent only upon our efforts.” Despite being an agnostic myself, I did find solace in this quote (as there are external variables that play a crucial role in determining the outcome of any matter that transcend my intellectual standing). However, an issue that arises from this is that I did not take accountability for my inability to pursue my academic objectives. As a matter of fact, I often found myself comfortable to remain in an illusion of happiness rather than confronting my failures. This is the exact moment where I was able to catch hold of the illusory nature of desire (with much of my inspiration for my current interpretation of desire stemming from Kobe Bryant’s Mamba Mentality). I finally understood that I can hold a desire, as long as I interpret the process of achieving my desires through an objective lens. By remaining emotionally detached, I’m ultimately able to provide a cohesive framework to achieve my goals by precisely determining what is required to achieve my desire. By harnessing my focus through objective and practical means, I have effectively inculcated a lifestyle that accommodates for mental stability alongside maintaining a sense of desire. Well, I hope that you have had the opportunity to go through the gist of my stream of consciousness. I’m looking forward to more of your videos that explore more interesting ideas that you have come across through your path of spiritual re-awakening. Best regards, Aayush

I am in the process of shifting my mindset from desire to abundance by being grateful for what I have. I believe Kadavul has already given me so much that I feel very insensitive by complaining. But, I do feel that there is a way to approach desire beyond a materialistic way because the value of an object depends on the owner. Thank you Janani for this reminder! Love your videos btw!

To me desire is like the glass half empty. The more we desire, the less we perceive that we have. When we find the beauty in what we already have, we feel blessed. When I start getting down I have to remind myself to focus on the good. No matter how lost we get, Bhagwan is still within us all. I'm happy to see another video from you.

I think my biggest desire has always been to be beautiful, it’s so difficult to tell myself that. I feel like I’m constantly yearning for different features to reflect the beauty of god but those desires remain a dream. I love my parents their features are what make up me, so I go through this cascade of thoughts circling back to holding resentment towards myself. During age of Kali so much emphasis is placed on the materialistic aspects, the external shell of each individual. I feel I am healing, but it’s difficult sometimes. Thank you Janani! Being a 19 year old Indian American I find it difficult finding peers passionate about religion and spirituality, I find comfort watching your content.

I think you have long away to go before talking about nature of mind. if you think everything is simple it become simple. if you think its complex its complex. how? Simply because when you think its simple , you ignore the lies around thing. When you think its complex , you believe the lies around the thing. humans can never be enlightened. its impossible. because to live he must attached to something. if he is attached to something then that is one that control his mind. he is a slave to his attachment I see Jiddu krishnamurty address his followers and they ask stupid questions. if he tell the truth , all of them will run away. He has to pacify them and make him think he knows. I mean he is attached to his followers and it become his job of sort. he cant speak to truth to any human. its dangerous to expose yourself. Everything is cyclic. Open ended thinking? Humans will bleed to DEATH Why in the world we humans created GOD idea? Its a plug. God idea is a cure for humans over thinking God says this say that.... All books are written by humans. Why any humans believe in bagvat gita or upanishad? Why do you follow another human and his words? his context is different than yours. God do not exist but we must have god in our life. Because we still need a cure. For athiests , science is god. What is my God? Me ? I do not exist. That mean i have no need for God to protect me. A ghost of sort. lets say 1 million year passed and humans are alive. How he will think and behave? For me humans become human plus. human plus will eliminate all humans as garbage. What is this human+ ? A human who sees nature as it is. A beliefless entity.

People cant be this stupid to believe in hinduism. I foresee death of hinduism People wont accept lies in this day and age. That said someone will create new religion may be in 100 years. World has to change , may be most of population gets erased. You can never be enlightened if you have beliefs. You can be conman if you have beliefs.
