Rishis are drustas (seers) of mantras. They are not authors/composers/poets.

0:57 ....... , not even cross question on this
Its so common knowledge that Vedas were written by male and female. There were Rishis and There were Rishikas.
There are some side effects growing up in Abrahamic world view , we start to think their history is our history and we try to see our history with their historical perspective.
I have come to realization and even enforced by like minded we are living in an Abrahamic world view . our world is pushed upon by Abrahamic thoughts and ideas.
but if we go even into deeper levels of thoughts, we can see Dharma is at the core of everything running the show and its coming up again , the cycle of downtime is over, its uptime now , early days of uptime.
Even if you go even more deeper , there is no such thing as downtime , its all his lilas , it had to happen the cycle had to go through this churning process. Its all happened and its happening again and again.
If we want sanity in this world we need to keep Dharma at ruling and guiding position like ancients did.
i dont know , if god wants you to realize "the thing" , he will make you realize in his own lilas and when time will come. if not, its fine too.
[lol im using the word god , but how does it matter everything is derived from Sanskrit one way or the other]
having knowledge in spirituality is one thing, and having knowledge what happened in say last 3000 years with Bharat subcontinent is different thing.
im not surprised as it had to happen this way, its already written we will have to walk this path, its all his lilas hare krishna, hare krishna, krishna krishna hare hare, hare ram hare ram, ram ram hare hare, jai jaganath, jai bhavani, jai maa durga.
PS : oopsie oopsie , i realized you were talking about post vedic period and probably referring to some really recent history 😅
sorry i took back to 14000 years +
actually you must be referring < 1000 years of history . and what happend in recent history its like whatever ego, greed, most importantly they forgot their Dharma.
If They remembered their Dharma , everything would had been fine and chill.
Its lack of Dharma that we as Bharatiya society were sucked into adharmic practices

My Kuldevi is Gargi maa. She is my ancestor. She was great scholar of Vedas. She even debated with prominent sage Yajnavalkya rishi. There were many prominent scholar ladies in ancient Vedic time like Mata Gargi, Maitreyi, Apala,Ghosha.

Great video! Just a quick in, in the beginning you mentioned that only males were sent to gurukulam and not women to learn the vedas. Its partially right. Women indeed were sent to Gurukulam and the gurukulams were separate for men and women so both the genders studied under the family of the guru, education was never restricted to a gender. But yes, the study of vedas, and the larger Shruti was restricted to men through yuga-dharma. The smritis and itihaas was instead open to the women. Really really appreciate you for not going over the vedas. One has to be authorized for that(अधिकार). And majority of women as well as MEN are not authorized to study them. People get up in arms about everyone should study the vedas; they mistake it for a privilege. Studying vedas is not a privilege but a responsibility. The one's tasked with preserving the Vedas must live a life of abject poverty, with minimal sustenance and so on and so forth. One cannot ask such a huge responsibility from women who manage the entire household and family relations. Its too much for them. One simply cannot ask of the warriors to preserve the Pranav, they would be famished and impoverished warriors are the bane of society. The same goes for other 2 classes of merchants and servants. And hence only Brahmins are tasked with this responsibility of preservation of Pranav at the great expense of their comfort. Thank you for following the orders of our Sages!

The "a" is mostly retained as it is in Sanskrit in most of Southern Indian languages. Whereas there are other languages like Hindi/Hindustani where the "a" sound at the end of words is omitted. This is called "Schwa deletion" . So yeah, in many ways your pronunciation if much much closer to actual Sanskrit words.

    Atma != Soul
Soul is a concept in Semitic religions that doesn't cleanly map to our concepts. A dog doesn't have a soul according to them. A tree doesn't have a soul. A cow doesn't have a soul.
But there's Atma in all of these beings.
I think you should rephrase and cleanly make the distinction between Atma and Jiva. I see you are using the word Atma at places where you should say Jiva.
See Rajiv Malhotra RUclips channel for a discussion of the difference between soul, Jiva and atma.
Check out his book Sanskrit Non-Translatables.
