Dunno has a passion for all things motorcycle. As such he has traveled many parts of Australia and overseas on two wheels. Now he helps organize adventure rides (DADVRides) in and around his local area and across NSW. These rides are open to all. Here he shares his ups and downs as he ventures forth on two wheels.
His alter ego, has a life long passion for all things Martial Arts.
Sensei Graeme has a wealth of knowledge in and around martial arts, both as a student and as a teacher, gathered over four decades. Here he discusses all things martial arts with the emphasis on supporting his students. Some humorous, some more serious. Enjoy a walk through lesson or a Mr Miyagi Mini Tip.

Front End Flat on the Honda Transalp - I Almost Made It! The Ups and Downs of Adventure Riding.

The wonderful team at www.aussiebikeorhike.com.au celebrated Christmas with a customer ride and dinner. Whilst tackling the dirt route I almost had an event free day. But about 200m from the end of the dirt and the wonderful Oxley Highway I managed to not see and strike a large rock resulting in a pinch flat (and some swearing). It was very warm and getting hotter so luckily Shane, Alex and JP ...
Dunno's Adventure Rides

Small group rides run roughly once per month. Rides run out of Taree and explore the Mid North Coast of NSW. Occasionally an overnight ride is organised. Riders are encouraged to ride at their own pace with a corner marker system used. Riders join these rides at their own risk and are responsible for the maintenance of their bikes, insurance, licensing etc. Rides vary in length and the anticipa...

On a recent trip (The Big Merino Muster) with Alex Cudlin and the team at Aussie Bike or Hike, we had some fun with a couple of good water crossings. This one was both deep and fast flowing, but fun! NB It also had a couple of hidden dips which may have brought an expletive or two.

Who can resist an invite from a local riding legend to join him for a day of adventure riding? Not me! Especially when the road over Barrington Tops has finally reopened after roughly a two year wait. One of our favourite parts of the world opened up to us again. The day would start at 7:30am and end at 5pm, tired, sore and happy. This video is a highlights reel of a small part of the trip from...

KTM 390ADV Long Technical Hill Climb - Dunno's ADVRide #15

This was every rider's favourite part of the day. Dunno's Adventure Ride #15 was "The Big Day Out". A great day it was too. The Loop Road through the Wallamba National Park proved to be challenging enough to be interesting but not enough for riders on larger bikes to give up. The hill climb (from about 1:45) goes on for at least 3.5 minutes with many technical things to navigate. Rain ruts, ero...

Recon Ride for DADVRIDE #13 - The Manning Valley Lookout Tour.
Thanks for posting this review. It occured to me that the pivot pegs would introduce the muscle fatigue you speak of. I've stuck with the stock pegs. Sometimes they feel a bit small but the tilt has never bothered me and its an issue I think is overstated. Especially if you mostly do road miles where you are seated. I shy away from the alu pegs unless you are sure of the billet quality aluminium. Even so steel pegs are definitely the strongest and will not snap, only bend with hard impact. Breaking a footpeg will kill your ride.
What was it? A sharp rock?
Yes a quite large rock with a squared off front edge. I kicked myself for hitting it but looking back at the footage it was difficult to see.
@ I have the same bike. Tubes, tires, wheel, bikes can be mended. Happy you’re ok! Thanks for responding.
The B&B bracket mounts to the engine case? That's not good if you have a hard hit it is going to crack the engine case.
This could be true, though it would need to be a very hard hit. The B&B mounts to the same places as the PowerParts plate so you are no worse off than before as far as that’s concerned.
Always enjoy your rides - looking forward to joining the next one
Love ya dunno❤
Hi sir Will it fit to Ktm duke 390 2023 ?
I couldn’t say but I very much doubt it.
Thank you for the comparison. Good insight on how the pivot pegs actually feel in use. Did you notice any significant difference in vibration transmitted to the feet between the three pegs tested?
Hi yes the Pivot pegs do seem to transfer a little less vibration. Also I should add that for day to day riding I have gone back to the pivot pegs as I find I need to move my feet on the pegs a lot less, which I like.
Very informative, just decided to get a 390 Adventure after selling my 1190 Adventure R a few months ago as want something lighter, lower & more relaxed for adventure riding as the 1190 was overkill! Looking at initial mods for the 390 & am thinking bashplate (that was a great video you did as I almost considered the KTM one over a B&B!) & crash bars initially, & then seeing how I go with everything else like screen, pegs etc. Although your pannier brackets, mirrors & the swingarm crash protectors look good & the raised front guard, can you tell me if you ordered those in Oz or overseas & where you found the template for the front mudguard. Many thanks Briggsy
Hey Briggsy sorry mate I have just found your comment. The pannier brackets I ordered through KTM for their soft panniers. They work well. Mirrors are double take and are ordered online from supplier. The swing are protectors are actually just bobbins for the paddock stand and I bought from my local nike shop and put in the correct bolt to match the bike’s thread. The raised front guard I made my own bracket and it was OK (others have done a much better job) but it was too soft so I gave up and bought the Tusk conversion kit in the end.
What screen are you using for your ktm 390 ?
Hi Ali that’s a rally screen from radegarage.com A great piece of kit! Kind Regards Graeme
Pivot pegs, save time just get them. They work very well.
I have now gone back to the pivot pegs and they are great.
I appreciate your review! I was wondering, how does ground clearance compare between them, any loss with the b&b?
Hi Ryan as far as ground clearance goes both only just clear the exhaust so there would be very minimal difference. Certainly not enough to notice from riding. The B&B does come out squarer at the front so the gap between the engine and the front wheel would be slightly less. Kind Regards Graeme
Have the same basher. The tolerance between the center mountain bracket and the header on the bottom is so close it will rattle if you don't fine tune your adjustments while installing. After that is done in no time it's a very well made and heavy duty bash plate. Total confidence. I did take a while to get shipped to the United States but worth it. Great review
Thanks for the feedback and the tips Scott.
By cutting the barrel spacer, making two approximately.25 inch pieces and sandwiching the spring in between, you can use the original spring and pin. Also a small recess must be drilled into peg for the spring to slot into. This is for the eBay pegs for early v strom.
Nice! Thanks for that.
Great video! Which exhaust do you have? Thanks!
Hi Tim I’m running the powerparts Ackro exhaust with the big pre chamber removed.
@@Dunno2430 Awesome. Thanks for the quick reply. It sounds great!
Never mind, I realized after watching the video again that you said eBay. I was able to find them again thank you for the video.
Glad you found the video useful. Sorry for the slow reply my notifications are doing crazy things. 😉👍
and what was the name of them / keyword?
@@christhepepep DL650 foot pegs
@@Dunno2430 thanks!
first I will try the EVO footpegs from SW Motech tho
Thank you for the video, great stuff. Can you provide the link for the black foot pegs ? I’ve scoured through Amazon and can’t seem to locate the same ones.
Hey sorry for very late reply, notifications turned off for some reason. Go to ebay and search for DL650 foot pegs.
Thanks for the video. In market for a bash plate for my 390. Very helpful info.
Thanks for the feedback. Glad it helps.
does it have cruise control ?
No it doesn’t.
@@Dunno2430 shame on KTM, it could have been the perfect little adventurer, or maybe they will do that to the "new" 790
Hey mate, can i use this video in my new compilation? credit in the description, comment & your channel name in compilation
Sure that would be fine. 😊👍
@@Dunno2430 thanks alot mate :) I really appreciate it!
I had my doubts but after riding offroad with a fellow that has one it seems very capable.
Yeah I think in most cases the limiting factor is rider skill. But the 390A is an easy bike to live with for sure.
Hey, can i use this video in my new compilation? Full credits will be given to you
Yeah that’s fine. Please add a link to my channel in the description.
@@Dunno2430 sure, thank you sir
Solid video mate real eye opener keep up the good work
Thanks mate, appreciate the feedback. 👍
Hey mate could I use your video for a pornhub clip? of course full credit and link to your channel.
Hahahahaha
Woaza Dunno that was a close one
Yes mate if I wasn’t watching him and chose to accelerate away (as opposed to braking) things could have ended very differently.
Yeah completely agree dunno he could of totally wiped you out (also Jeffery Epstein didn’t kill himself)
I was on the edge of my seat
Hey, May I use your dashcam clip in next compilation video ? Linked and credited on screen. Thank You !
Sure thing! 👍
@@Dunno2430 Thankyou very much!
Peace mate. May i feature your driving clip? Full credit for sure! Thanks and stay safe. Also where did happend?
Yes that would be fine. This was turning into my own street. On the outskirts of Taree, NSW, Australia.
@@Dunno2430 Thank you.
Who did you buy it from? I love that your dog was in and out of the video!

Hey! May I use this video in my next episode? Credited of course (watermark and link to your channel).
Sure thing. 👍
@@Dunno2430 Thanks!
Too right we have all been, there is no right or wrong. Ride safe but have fun at the same time 👍👍
I wish we got the power parts here in india.. I'm looking for a metal bash plate for my 390.. very less options in india
You seem to have lots of choice in India when it comes to crash bars and GPS / Phone mounts. My somewhat used, slightly damaged powerparts bash plate is for sale but I’m not sure about cost to send to India 😉
Out already
Yeah moving to higher ground I’m guessing. Due to the ridiculous amount of rain we have had.
if you see snakes on the regular get some shinguards mate - Im pretty sure my shinguards have saved me from being bitten a few times since summer (snakes bouncing off them)
Thanks Daniel luckily it’s not a regular thing for me. Glad I have good strong high boots though.
Hey man! May I use it in my next episode? Credited of course.
Sure thing. Great reminder to keep left on blind corners. (or right depending on country of course) 😉👍
@@Dunno2430 Thank you!
Nice video Sensei.
I'll admit I had been a couple of those partners to start with but then once you train with a higher grade you begin to realise how futile your efforts are and that you quite possibly will get hurt through no fault other then your own. I have definitely never been the no pain partner the pain makes you feel alive in a weird way. So weird in fact some of us will just laugh the harder it is. This was definitely a great topic and one that applies not just in the martial arts world but in all aspects of life in varying forms. Thankyou
Thanks Rob, appreciate the input and the feedback. 😊
Looking at my own video the first thing I noticed was a lack of rotation of my supporting foot. That's what I love about martial arts, always learning.
