Ever since my first time launching Joystick Gremlin it wont launch anymore and I have zero clue why
Hey, it might be launching in a minimised state, take a look at your windows hotbar on the bottom right. Next to the clock you should see a little joystick icon if the software is open :)
Thank you, very good explanation.
thanks
I have the Logitech GX56 and for some reason it doesn't read the throttle moving. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Great job! Thanks for your work :)
would love this, but grmlin always gives me issues
You don't need vjoy and joystick gremlin.... just get xpadder
sketch af
Another killer tutorial! Thank you Urban!
Nice tutorial, I was excited to do it. Then I realised, that in case of KSP2 you don't need vJoy and Gremlin at all. The Inputbinder can directly detect your joystick axes and even buttons. Just check your setup on the vid, you can see, that Inputbinder caught the Saitek input, not the vJoy. :)
Thanks! Yeah for the most part KSP 1 and 2 will allow you to map without vJoy and Gremlin however they often won’t be able to detect all inputs/buttons and with some sticks KSP 1 adds a half second input delay. So this guide should cover a wider range of devices and save you from remapping the buttons in both games 😁
good morning julia!
Nice background! FR1 in the Launch Control Complex
Thanks! Really Useful!
Glad it was helpful!
saved me a couple of hours buggering abouth, there. thank s Urban 🙂
big thnx, broo
Can anyone direct me to a video or other information about setting up the side panel controller for use with steam and ksp? I think he is using the same Logitech controller as the one I have. I haven't found anything yet. Thanks for the tutorial none the less.
Hey dude I’ve just put up a video explaining how to set up joysticks and side panels for both KSP games!! ruclips.net/video/uveqmDKQY9M/видео.htmlsi=ZZz0QO5EoHYPoScq
@urbanventure3343 thanks a bunch, I did watch it, really appreciate the help!
Is your name really urban venture? thanks for the tutorial btw.
Why is your advice not working for (no kal needed)
great tutorial
Thank you very much for this tutorial!!!!
That's good
I always wondered this thing was for, but never bothered trying to figure it out by trial and error, 95% of this game already was trial and error progression, hours and hours of it. By the Time the KAL came out I couldn't be bothered anymore... I just added more boosters!
Thank you. That made sense. Great video.
This guy is underrated
Your video is very helpfully by me. Thank you for make video .
awesome thanks for sharing
you are great at convaing information. Thanks for teaching me and helping me to have a better understanding of ksp
Best videos on this ksp robotics thank you thank you thank you
thank you for your videos so helpfull
Dude, your tutorial is really awesome. 10\10!
The best out there !
Thank you bro you Save me❤
Brilliant tutorial, you need to make more KSP tutorials! You have a knack for it.
Nice Job!
It’s a shame that you seem to have stopped making videos - you’re a very good educator. Reducing quite complex information into a form that lots of people can understand is a talent - pick up the camera again for ksp2!
this is so stupid... why did they make it solely time driven.... shouldi measure every rockets timesheet i dont need this then
Hi, does anyone know how to put SAS on this? I can't seem to figure it out. All answers greatly appreciated!
Hey, unfortunately the KAL Controller cannot take the SAS inputs and apply them, just the ones you can bind in the action group menu like WASD. It’s a shame
Hi! This is a great tutorial series! I had no idea how to work KALs before and now I've got a working CH-47 replica that flys stable and level thanks to two KALs working the rotor angles and a hinge to angle the front motor. Funny enough though, these more complicated KALs didn't give me any trouble, but I'm having issues with an on/off set of KAL fields. I'd like to have 7 spotlights on the rear rotor mount that light up and turn off in sequence with the rotor angle as a way to indicate what the rotor pitch is. I've tried using 'toggle lights' and two fields per light for 'turn light on' and 'turn light off', I've done this as additional fields in the KAL that controls rotor angle, and as it's own KAL controller on the same group as the rotor angle KAL, the U/D translation group, and I also tried removing my Indicator lights from the main light control group but they still never light up at all. I can manually turn the lights on, and the Rotor Angle KAL still works fine. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Anyone have any ideas? Seems like it should be simpler than balancing flight controls for a helicopter, I must be missing something little.
I went through the whole video thinking you were using a cow controller!
Thanks so much for these vids
Hey urban, this is sick!!!
Really handy vid, nice one. Now my dream of making a moon spider is a little bit closer to fruition. Onto part 2!
do you think we will hvae these robotics on day 1 ksp2?
With it coming out in Early Access first I would guess not but it’s only a couple weeks now until we’ll know for sure!!
Pretty familiar with the mechanics but I don't use it much and a refresh is always welcome
Underrated af
once i made an unfolding hand in orbit that shows the finger, i startet every step per button. looks like i should do it again
Imagine having a craft with 10000T of mass (if your PC can handle it lol) and needing to use vector engines for rcs
Thank You man, I’ve been searching about how to use the Kal controller and how to make a simple landing leg system because the rocket boosters I would want to land couldn’t land because of the small landing gear that the game had as default, Really saved Me especially since Nobody really makes robotics tutorials that really makes sense 👌👌👌
Great vid! Love how you first explain in what situations you wouldn't need the controller and how to operate robotics in that scenario.
Before i watched this i was useing all the #keys to execute animations lol Thank u sir.
Thanks man, I've been looking for good tutorials, glad I stumbled upon this series!
