The Controversial Rise of Dorian Yates (Documentary)
🏋️ Try Dorian Yates HIT workout on my favorite FREE lifting app: bit.ly/dorianworkout (use code IRON for a 14 day trial of the Pro version)
Many people play the game, some go on to win it, but very few completely change it.
The six-time Mr. Olympia Dorian Yates unleashed a ruthless domination from 1992 to 1997, and ushered in what we know now as the mass monster era that still influences the sport to this very day. The moment he stepped on the 1992 Olympia stage, bodybuilding was transformed once and for all.
Nicknamed ‘The Shadow’, Dorian maintained a low profile in England each year before emerging on stage in the United States looking bigger and leaner than ever. With a combination of si...

How Ronnie Coleman Became Bodybuilding's GOAT (Documentary)

🏋️ The best lifting app I've ever tried: www.boostcamp.app (use code IRON for a 14 day trial of the Pro version) When you think of the bodybuilding landscape in the late ‘90s and early 2000s, one name rises above all the rest: Ronnie Coleman. For nearly a decade, “The King” laid waste to his competition, securing a record eight Mr. Olympia titles (tied with Lee Haney) and 26 pro wins during a c...
Arnold was the best
Real men hide their emotions.
Saving this
Not enough videos, I'm sad and I want more. Nice work and plz do Kevin Levrone next
Arnold stole glory from so many
The king will always be remembered..... someone will surely carry his legacy oneday fs
in running, you can time it who is the fastest running. swimming, you can time it who is the fastest swimmer. but in bodybuilding, impossible to have a good measure on who is. the fittest.
Legacy is a big thing for Mr Olympia. Arnold, Dorian so many people won just because their overall contribution rather than their final or penultimate year independent performance.
biggest 🤡mentzer and his no good con workouts
Arnie is a rancid animal who continues to ruin people’s careers. The poster boy of corruption
Quality stuff
Thank you!
Like everyone else I was excited to binge watch more of your videos lol but I know how much work goes into each one
*_"HEAVY DUTY"_* I remember him well, all the 80's magazine layouts & stuff. He was a phenomenon.
Lol.. they were all methed and coked up
In my book, Mentzer won the Olympia 10 times back to back and kicked Arnold in the balls
This is another banger as always man. FYI I'd watch the shit out of a Kevin Levrone or Tom Platz documentary
Thank you! Well these two seem to be the most requested so I will absolutely get around to making videos on both of them for sure 😄
I think 93' Flex Wheeler is the peak of aesthetic bodybuilding physiques. But he is trippin if he genuinely believed his soft glutes and hamstrings beat Ronnie in 99'
Ronnie was a real life monster bruh all that heavy lifting like im strong but im not Ronnie strong
Love this era of bodybuilding
Well made documentary, reminds me of the one I watched when I was younger
Thanks for watching! 🙏
Yes, I vividly remember those days. Stimulants were actually more popular than gear. The first gym I joined was in a suburb of NYC and had some well known bodybuilders training there. Drugs were discussed openly and without shame. These guys trained like animals but it wasn't sheer will and discipline that got them through especially when on a 1500 calorie cut. When they were interviewed they all said weight training gave them tremendous energy but when you spoke to them in person it was a different story. I also thought amphetamines were wonderful and they were for a while. After years of use I started seeing a change in my personality (aggression). I also started having severe anxiety problems. Then I developed asthma which is a rarely discussed side effect of long term amphetamine use. The side effects were intermittent so I told myself it had nothing to do with speed. Lucky for me I had an accident that sidelined me for along time so I got away from It. The anxiety and breathing problems lasted for years after I quit.
It’s quite scary how normalized these substances were back in the day, but I’m glad you’re clean now, you’re doing great keep it up! 💪
😢sad
Can make a video about kevin levrone
I will
No, through the years they have handed the first place trophy to the guys that was the darling of the power brokers of bodybuilding................
Bodybuilding is in my opinion one the most amazing and authentic sports ever. Amazing combination of discipline, talent, tactics, mental skills, science .. The whole lot.
Best YT channel I’ve come across in years. Hoping for a Tom Platz video in the future!
Thank you so much 🙏 I surely will be making one!
@@Iron.Historian thank you so much! Best bodybuilding videos on the website!!
Good Doc👍
Thank you!
But but how did ronnie become a legend with all the racism?!?!??! He went to a racist gym run by a racist owner!??!?! Who made him pay double the membership fee because he is black!??!??!?!
We need a video about Tom Platz 🤩
Mike was a homosexual meth addict.
I’m 60. I weigh 226 to 230. I still use a Mentzer type training to this day. 18 inch guns pumped and I can sprint and fight like a mug still. Oh absolutely no steroids or test. To me Mike Mentzer was really the best bodybuilder of all. By any standards.
You're smashing it! Keep it up 💪
@@Iron.Historian thank you. God Bless you, keep the great videos coming.
@@lonerangersheriff Thank you, will do!
