Getting from Me to You

Not that this will interest any of you, but this is a multimedia project I made for my History of Old Media class. I tried to demonstrate the transitions personal communication has gone through, starting with spoken word and ending with the internet (and everything it dragged along with it). A lot of the videos featured are from Getty Images, so yay for Getty Images. Edited with Nero Multimedia...

When they played at the Cardiff University Students' Union on the 15th of September, 2009. They were beautiful. :] Sorry about the quality. It was dark. I also apologise for the lovely lady you can hear quite clearly singing along.
Sally Just Wants to Have Fun

New from Moosey Moose Productions, we finally learn why Sally got that makeover, and it is a shocker. *Gassssssps. She is so talented. *Wipes tear. (She is either very good at rapping or she really needed to pee.) Music is by Iain Ballamy (except the second one, but I'm not going to tell you what it is here 'cause it will ruin the suspense). The song at the beginning is Butterfingers, and at th...
Sally Gets a Makeover

New from Moosey Moose Productions, we see the result of Sally's makeover. But the question still remains, why did she get a makeover in the first place? Hmmmmmm. Music is by Iain Ballamy. The song at the beginning is Butterfingers, and at the end, it's My Waltz For Newk, both off the soundtrack for the movie, Mirrormask.
Introducing Sally

New from Moosey Moose Productions, we meet Sally for the first time. Apparently, she is usually very nice, she just doesn't like the camera very much. :] Music is by Iain Ballamy. The song at the beginning is Butterfingers, and at the end, it's My Waltz For Newk, both off the soundtrack for the movie, Mirrormask.
Capitalism: The Never-ending Lie

For the Media Scholarship module, I was to translate this into my own words: "The culture industry perpetually cheats its consumers of what it perpetually promises. The promissory note which, with its plots and staging, it draws on pleasure is endlessly prolonged; the promise, which is actually all the spectacle consists of, is illusory: all it actually confirms is that the real point will neve...

Bright Eyes - Sing, Sing, Sing (Live on the Late Late Show)
Просмотров 249 тыс.17 лет назад
Bright Eyes performing Sing, Sing, Sing on the Late, Late Show on April 30, 2004. NOTE: As much as you would like to tell me I've got the name of the song wrong, please refrain from doing so. I, and many others, have already answered these queries countless times. This is the version that came out before the album, so it is, in fact, NOT At The Bottom Of Everything. Hence, the subtle difference...
oh my god the sex appeal
Wish Flava Flav was there
Just checking in from 2023
Hello from 2024.
“Mountains are the coolest” was a saying me and my friends used to say back in the day because of this concert. I miss those days.
Thanks for uploading
"The perfect dictatorship would have the appearance of a democracy, but would basically be a prison without walls in which the prisoners would not even dream of escaping. It would essentially be a system of slavery where, through consumption and entertainment, the slaves would love their servitudes." -- Aldous Huxley 1932
i wish conor could write a song like this about today's issues and women's rights being taken away. we need another conor protest song.
Check out "miracle of life", he kind of did
Shout out M Ward for quietly murdering that solo
I blame victory records for the downfall of tbs and Hawthorne heights career. Every new album had to be more universal/less angsty than the previous and I think that formula made most of my favorite bands sound boring over time
😍😍😍
"M.Ward for president!!!"
It’s wild watching this. I saw them on this same tour, but at the Fireside Bowl in Chicago. Wild.
Here the worst part of all. He couldn’t say he was playin his protest song I get it I just don’t get how could they wait a minute buddy I’m older than the kids I’m even talk through aw man this ain’t it either I’m goin to go to harps get a jux brb
ok who the fuck is this Craig Kilborn
This is so freakin emo!! Fck!
This is so old that there's John in there!
Mogis is the glue
Great performance. Bush inspired great protest art. Where is Conor when we need him now in the Trump era
He's around, went on a pretty solid tirade about Trump when I saw him a couple years ago lol
Down in the weeds
He just showed up!!!!!!!!
Better Oblivion Community Center with Phoebe Bridgers in 2019 and solo album in 2020
Hate correcting people but that isnt the name of the song.
Not a big deal, but they played it too fast.
August 2018 and I'm still here.. I remeber this song very well, the first time a watched was in tv around 2003 and 2004, then I found it in PRV website arround 2006, finally youtube, this year is exactly when I got my own music criteria. 16 years after, I continue with the same musical taste since my beginnings in the scene were very solid. TBS and VodkaBreath Thank you
rip carl
Damn... I remember those old days when all videos were on punkrockvids hahaha
awesome, thanks for uploading this...would be so nice to see the whole gig,,,i kinda think they were better with the original guitarist guy would did backing vocals...he had a lot of passion...
11 years later..
15 and a half years ago..
We're so old guys..
Fast forward 11 years and here we have emo trump as a replacement ;)
1, 2...666
I saw the title being sing sing sing and hoped it would be a Benny Goodman cover haha
The song is called At the Bottom of Everything
Try reading the description?
tl;dr it's an early version before it was called that wat, the lifted album should give you a hint that it was a song still in development
Does anyone know where to find Cute without the E from this show?

CLASSSSSIC HELL YES!!
Bright Eyes should tour with Jeff Mangum and call the tour Overrated.
The political crap just taints it so badly.
+gumbo He's talking about Bush btw.
+Sasha Dame Well yeah, duh. Although the same words could be easily applied to Obama.
Maybe I should hate you for this
"nice!"
That bass harmonica at the end nailed it
M. Ward, the eternal badass

shit, this is the best "you're so last summer" live. with the old line up and the 'feelings' of TBS. miss them :(
I feel like At The Bottom Of Everything and Sing, Sing, Sing can be completely different songs. I mean, if you wanted them to be.
_real thinking_ is about establishing the _similarities_ between things as well as their _differences_
??? it's the same song ???
It's like his favorite word is fuck or shit Adam says it a lot in his interviews and shit.
long island is where all the good music was at in the early 2000s

M. Ward for president!
The guitarist to the right of the stage is rocking out
This song has so much meaning, does anyone realize that?
OK I will. Most bright eyes songs are pretty easy to learn. I have one up on my channel already but will put another one up soon. All my recordings are awful though.
