can you cut a swept blend with a curved line?
Thanks for the video. I can’t figure out why my revolve item comes in the drawing at an angle I don’t want. Then I can rotate it the way I need.
You should create it in the direction you want - so if the item is upright, when creating it, use an elevation view (front, back etc.)
9 yrs..................
Nice video thanks
Wonderful way of explaining
Thanku
Thanks for this good tutorial. Hope you comeback to make this great channel live again.
Is it possible to modify the sweep path once created?
Yes - just select the sweep and redraw whichever item you need to change - you can even stretch the path in place if you just need to go a bit longer
youre an absolute legend my friend!
Excellent presentation. Really!
Been trying to create a 3/4 radius the follows path of rectangular sink with 3/4 radius corners but my revit will not make it. I tried creating a profile.
if the path has 3/4 radius and 3/4 corners Revit thinks the sweep will run into itself so it will not make it - if you try making the corners larger it will work
@@ckruse thank you. I'm trying to help the company incorporate our table designs into revit.
@@ckruse found a solution that'll work
@@Ramseye123 Do you work for a furniture manufacturer?
@@ckruse yes.
Thank Yiu
yeahh!!! thank you so much for your explaination!!!
Awesome tutorial :)
Thank you so much. But I want this work in default file insted of in family
Excellent! I didn't know I could do real drafting in Revit until I watched this. I didn't even know how to change my default "Units." Funny how being a seasoned AutoCAD user for decades does not help much for working in Revit.
Thanx Cindy
This is one of the most concise, easy to understand tutorials on Revit I've ever experienced. Just the right speed; easy to understand your voice; everything I need to do what I have to do. Thank you so much!!
interesting content - the clicks are really annoying
Hi, new to revit here. Was wondering why I don't have all those families in my Revit libraries. Where did she get the 'Single-Flush' door for example? I downloaded the Autodesk 2019 library and still...
Revit 2019 had a glitch with the family templates - if you download the udpate you should also download the family templates.
Thanks a lot, its a simple practical explanation
Loved it. 😘
I'm waiting ur videos
Why u didn't upload any video til now .. your videos are amazing. complete
This was very helpful. Thanks!
Thank you Cindy

Great Video Cindy, Simple and Succinct. Loved it. Looking forward for more.

Thanks for video.
thanks Cindy God Bless : )
Thank you Cindy, this was usefull !
Thank you. Super well explained video.
You sound damn cute!!
Wind it down... this isn't tinder!
Thank you so much for making this to show us that it is possible to construct such structures in Revit! I should say that revit is really not the guy for this job for people who think they can do more than this. The fabric wrinkles and fluffiness are always going to be missing no matter how many long hours you pull for a single pillow or towel.
*I don't even know how to get to that menu that shows the Sweep icon.*
Thank you for this! I was trying to create a soft cushion. Mine were too boxy. I’m fairly new to Revit and just experimenting and creating families for a house I want to design.
Cindy! great video!!! I am so happy you put it up. You explain so well. So nice to have a nother gir; workin it in Revit like me.
Excellent tutorial. I consider myself an experienced user and I learned a few things from this. Thank you.
Brilliant!
hmm somehow helpful......

a blessed day, nice tutorial, but i have question, why if i calculated manually the total cost and the material area it is not the same as the result of calculation of revit?
I'm also getting incorrect totals for the figures shown in my schedules??
Cindy... your instructions are very helpful.. Im a brand new revit user, self learning. how can I find out how to extrude a like your first example, but set an an angle... not horizontal or vertical. can you direct me to a solution?
You cannot extrude at an angle. You could do a sweep - have a shape follow a line you draw. Or you can do a blend - for example you can place a square at the base and a square for the top two feet apart and they would blend at an angle - hope that helps. - good luck!
