You are welcome. If nothing else, while engine is running good with no reduced engine power, wiggle the throttle body wire harness. If it triggers the rough idle, the harness is the issue. I ended up having to solder the wires because a wire connector came loose after i changed it in the begining.

You have to pull the plug. Open the front hatch, pull the panel off to expose the wires. There should be a wire harness with a red and black wire. Disconnect it and all alarms will stop.

I never stalled out but the reduced engine power would happen. It ultimately was the throttle body wire. You may have a clogged fuel filter or fuel pump problem.

Hey man, it was pretty nasty for awhile.

Milwaukee impact drill. Sometimes you have to hit them forward before you can back them out. Stripped ones can come out with vice grip needle nose pliers.

Congrats! I have nothing bad to say about cloth diapers. Its a little more work but I am glad I did not let anyone talk me out of it.

I used the fleece liners not the overnight liners. They never leaked but the baby grew out of them very fast so I stopped using them after size one.

Check and make sure oil filter gasket is not damaged and or filter is tight. They should both be under warranty from yamaha for at least 1 year.

@@chikkicarolina15 Thanks, I will check, I had the dealer change the oil at the 10 hour service interval. I used a wet vac to get the water out of the ski, cam back an hour later and there was more water that pooled in the same place. The ski hasnt been in the water for two weeks.

Acceleration is alittle better. Top end is about 72-74 now depending on conditions.

I just use it as a map but there are other function i have not really used. I messed with it one day and was able to get a tracer line to show where i went. Also saving points of interest.

I will try to find the part numbers. I had an older pontoon boat with the newer motor I bought as is. I noticed the prop would free spin at plane and i would have to slow down until prop would grab again. Was very annoying. Previous owner said he didnt experience that. I call "BS", he knew. Any way first thing i did was put on a new prop from suzuki thinking maybe prop bushing was spinning. Part number was on original prop. Had same issue. Thats when i figured someone put this motor on not realizing the shaft was too short. I went through the extension prosess. It was better but steering was more squirrelly. I sold the boat and let the guy know what was up and he said prob prop. I am thinking now that it was the wrong prop for the boat size. Suzuki makes 4-5 different prop pitches for that motor. If you know for sure an extension is what you need, go ahead. If you are running into the issue i had, start with prop pitch. I got extension parts on boats.net accept for the extention spacer. I got that on ebay used with guide pins and shaft bearing sleave already in it. All the parts will have an "X" after part number. "L" is for short shaft parts. You will have to get driveshaft, gear rod, water tube, housing extension, guide pins, spacer bearing/sleeve, threaded studs and nuts. There may be other parts in video. Hope this helps.

Is it in limp mode? The prop may have spun forward off the pump shaft or the drive shaft spun out of coupler. Is it reving proper rpms?

@@chikkicarolina15 The engine revs properly and seems strong like normal and no lights are on so I don't "think" its a limp mode issue. Have not yet removed the impeller housing but I am starting to think the impeller and housing may need to be replaced. This is my first ski and I sort of remember from last year that it seemed like it was not as fast for the same rpm's toward the year end as it was at years start. Since I bought the thing last year I have read in different places that impellers wearing are just normal stuff and this kind of sounds like it may be just that. Even though it only has 154 hours it is a 2006 model which is fairly old. I appreciate your input!

It didnt slide out I peeled it out. When re installing i started in the front. Push/ clipped the first couple inches so i could slide it up behind trim and then ran my thumb all the way to the back and it clipped right in. If that makes any sense.

They dont last as long. Any time you change a wear ring you will notice a difference.

@@chikkicarolina15 even the metal ring doesn’t last long, all depends on how nasty the water/sand is that wears out the ring/impeller. The good thing about the plastic ring is easier to swap, cheaper and you won’t have to worry about the swollen ring due to corrosion. The swollen ring is a pia and inevitable if you own the ski long enough.

The wear ring is the same for any 155m pump 2008-2013 yamaha fx sho ho vx fzr fzs. Do not get a wear ring with the plastic sleave in it. Yamaha Part number is 66v-51312-01-94.

When i am showing empty there is roughly 7 gallons left on an 18gal tank. I still own my 2008 sho which is pretty much the same setup 1.8 super charged 18gal. When the low fuel alarm comes on the fuel gauge is down to 2 bars. That means you had 7 miles give or take. Both 2016s and a 2017 svho i owned in the past were the same as the 2008. I do not know why they changed it. I personally like accuracy in my fuel gauge. I just traded in the 2023 for a 2024 fx cruiser and it is the same. I take many long trips and it makes me second guess its distance capability. The bluetooth is already starting to fail as well. I really do not like the connext operation system for various reasons.
