Poem for autumn | Blackmagic Ursa 12K | Helios 44-2 58mm F2.0 Vintage Lens
Просмотров 249Год назад
Just two hours of shooting with my dog sam my Ursa 12K and the trusty Helios 44-2. October 2023, Germany. Autumn BY JOHN CLARE The thistledown's flying, though the winds are all still, On the green grass now lying, now mounting the hill, The spring from the fountain now boils like a pot; Through stones past the counting it bubbles red-hot. The ground parched and cracked is like overbaked bread,...
nice review! maybe next time keep the shots the same for both cameras, so we arent judging the actual shot and can just focus on image quality
why are ur nails black?
What is the rockband you shooting on? Do you have a link on that music video :D
I think the image quality of the Pixis is superior, but the Sony FX6 has built-in ND filters, which makes it better suited for solo camera operation.
good take!
how good does the DJI focus pro work?
Works well when you set it up right! I also often use it focusing manually
Im a travel “vlogger” Im still using my canon R6 mk1 lol not the best on paper but I’ve been traveling everywhere with that camera, I’ve been putting mud on it, sand, rain, snow, now I’m traveling in Southeast Asia I don’t baby my cameras at all, I brought that one to the sea in the Philippines, however I’m looking to upgrade for a cinema camera I’m getting into personal projects documentaries, but all the cameras are exceptional with it’s own limitations getting hard to get one
The right tool for the job. With a Pyxis this would be no fun I guess haha
so nice cetup guys!
Totally, the menu system on Portkeys is rage inducing, like so so bad, but luckily BM is releasing its own monitor...personally, I would sell that monitor in a heartbeat
Yeah it is really impractical while using it
Hmm, everyone has a personal opinion. I think you can use this camera for a run and gun shooting, if for example you own just the Pyxis. Have shot with Sony Burano, Fx6 Fx3 Red Komodo’s. It boils down to your workflow and what you really see as Run and Gun type shooting. Great Review tho. Cheers
Thanks man! I agree
Sick set up. That's exactly how I want my Pyxis when I get one. I love the Kondor handle. It's 🔥
Yeah the Talon handle is really nice!
What camera do you recomend for short ads for fb and ig bro? Tajnks for the content
Thank you! For IG content and such stuff I would go on a hybrid cam like R5, A7 IV etc.
FUCK SONY. Never buying another sony camera ever again. They are refusing to give out any help regarding their rushed FX3 update that Sony put out KNOWING it had bugs (5.00 had this issue for other people) and yet Sony is refusing to make things right and are expecting me to pay out of pocket for a new main board? Absolutely shameful customer service. I smell a lawsuit brewing. NEVER AGAIN
You can fix the rolling shutter almost completely by using gyro data and setting gyro stabilization to zero in DaVinci. Bam!
great video, can you put the links up? that will get you twice the views, cause id be back here just to look at those links over and over at least 4 times lol
haha I can do that yes. Thanks :)
It looks very very neat my friend. Looks clean too, no dust, scratches and fingerprints all over.
Thank you dear! haha I'm known in my circle of friends as the guy with the microfiber cloth. I always say, take care of your stuff!🫶
How often do you need to change settings in the middle of a scene? Why would you change the ISO in the middle of a shot? Can't You just hit record then lock the buttons until it is time to cut the take?
Thanks for your comment. Of course, changing ISO during a scene hardly ever happens. But I use the custom buttons like F1 F2 F3 regularly. It would make sense if it only locked the screen and not the buttons below it. Even when I'm not recording, these have no function, which makes little sense to me. The colleague in the example mentioned above used his thumb on the display, where you can also stop/start recording, and that's where it makes sense. But locking the buttons makes little sense to me :)
@@stumpflukas if the buttons on the side are locked is the screen also locked?
What V-lock mount is that?
Nitze V-Mount plate
@@stumpflukas thanks! I like the compact form factor.
I… I feel like you’re going to sell the Pyxis in about a year or less. Seems like you really like it but your use cases are more catered to by your Sony cameras.
As I said in the video, this camera is not a “daily driver” for me. I use it for specific purposes and it works really well there. Would I use it for IG content or an event where it's super dark and everything has to work quickly? No, definitely not. But for all projects that are well prepared and you have a bit more time, it's a great tool.
Did you try to use 1250 iso, it’s a second tier ISO and way cleaner than 1000 iso from first tier (and the highest, so noisier than 1250). This camera perform the best when you have more light than you need for exposure and bring down I post a bit. Nice video, cheers! 🤘
Yes I mentioned it in the video that I only used 1250 and 400 :)
what adapter are you using? thanks
NISI PL TO L
❤
I really need to try these Remus lenses. I need to see how much strong of a character they have. Cool video Bro. Keep on Rolling! 👊
Thanks man! And yes check them out, I like them a lot!
@ but effectively for good sharpness you need to step down to 4-5,6 ?
@@PD_DOP 4 is sharp, below 4 it get's artsy I would say haha. But you can use it also on 2.8 for special looks
Nice images!
thank you!
wow this both can compare the quality are the same
they get quite close!
SONY!!!!!!!!!!
🤪
Any modern cinema camera can do well in your lighting condition. But the fx6 limitations starts to be seen in a contrast lighting in gradients. Especial when one color switches to an opposite one like red to blue. These borders look harsh on fx6 due to codec and bit depth limitations. After couple of project shot on fx6 and fx3 I gave up using these entry level Sony line. Any camera shooting raw or 4444 xq is my choice now. By the way now you can shoot braw on fx6 which turned out to be much noisier on the same isos than BMPCC or Pyxis.
I agree!
Neither lol, but they do look alike especially with the new monitor upcoming. BM is crazy for the price.
whats the battery
A normal BPU 35, but mostly running V-Mount in the future!
Can't believe nobody commented yet ! Dude these shots are gorgeous. Love the color grading too ! Good job 👏🏻
Thanks! Appreciate it a lot!
Blackmagic does look better... but you legit can't move it at all or it's jello.
Checked the RS some days ago - it's heavy!
Will you get the Remus 50mm (B set)? It's noticeably sharper then the Remus 45mm from what i have seen.
Not sure, but I guess I won't buy the 50mm. Not a huge fan of 50mm in general
Hello je voudrais savoir combien coûtent les douanes pour se faire livrer le blazar remus 45mm en France merci
I can't tell you that, but the best thing to do is just go to the Blazar page and check it out :)
Garbage content... or rather garbage non content 🤣😂🤣
Cool video bro. I'm currently shooting with the 45mm on my a7s3 which unfortunately does not do open gate. I'm getting tired of sony's lack of features.
I feel that. I have to say it is quite nice to use both cameras. The Pyxis is for me more "when I have time" for everything on set. The Sony are more for dirty quick and and gunning for me. Cause when you use something like the Remus all the features of Sony like AF become irrelevant
hey bro it was interested to hear but the sound in this video gives me a hedeach so had to stop after 2 minutes. please lower the music volume while you speak.
Sorry man! Did you listen with Headphones?
How is battery life with that bp-u battery?
I would say with this Unit it's about 40 minutes or something. I am planning to mount V-Mounts in the near future!
is it the bpu30 , i got vmounts. but want to fly it on a gimbal
@@johnzuluetafilms5226 From what I've seen, people usually mount the camera on gimbal and mount the vmounts near the handle and connect the wire
Es wird "suräi" ausgesprochen.
Darauf ein Amen! haha
Good comparison man! Cheers 👊
Thanks! Greetings to Amsterdam
Great video! What PL-L mount adapter arre you using?
Thank you :) It's the NISI PL-E Adapter
Yes, please manufacturers, please give us open gate on all cameras, it will also help with vertical reels. It just makes the camera more versatile for different applications.
Would be nice! Imagine in a hybrid cam, how versatile it would be.
@@stumpflukas All Lumix Cameras😎
And you shot a field 😂😂😂😂 and some trees lol. How is this meant to show what this camera can do ??? This camera should be used in an controler set where you have light, contrast, set design. What are you showing us ??? Nothing!!! Lame as fuck
What difference do it make? Your shooting your dog 😅. I HATE the consumer film maker space so much. FX3 is a good camera. Pyxis is a good camera. Who cares about what looks better. What are you shooting ? What are you creating ? Besides wedding and b roll with music ?
purevisualsproduction.de/ here is my work I do What you should do is learn something about kindness on the Internet ;)
Nice review my friend :) please get in some skin tones for the next test 😊
Yeah my boy! let's check that out :)
Kozey Islands
I actually would have loved to see a dedicated body comparison between the two, out of the cages and stacked side by side. That's what I clicked on the video for.. Haha
I just uploaded a photo on my feed here in RUclips! Check it :)
Hello may I ask you is the baseplate of the FX6 (the tilta one) a good fit to the Pyxis ?
Just checked, the Tilta Cage does not fit at all :)
Let me break it down for you. If you want to capture exceptional cinematic footage, whether for film or videography, consider the following breakdown: 10% comes from the camera, 20% from the lens you choose, 20% from lighting, and the remaining 50% from your knowledge of lighting techniques, framing, composition, focal lengths, and storytelling. Instead of constantly chasing new gear, focus on mastering the equipment you have, understanding its sensor capabilities, and leveraging its strengths. New gear won’t necessarily make you a better filmmaker, but dedicating time to research and honing your craft will. That said, if you choose to invest in every new camera on the market, that’s entirely up to you.
well said! that's how it is!
I had to learn that the hard way, gas really got me I bought 7 high end camras and mid range lens and lights like a fool. But learned and still learning in film school. We'll said I wish college would have told me what u just told us in your comment
In my case, my camera was stolen, so I'm looking for options, and I'm between these two cameras. 🫠
@@Pabloreec that's terrible my man! How did that happen?
Yes exactly. I feel like when you have the knowledge, and slowly work up to good gear, you can make almost anything look good with most cameras now days. I have an fx6 and won't be switching anytime soon. I do want to learn how to use other systems though in case projects require it. Thats were renting comes in :)
Different tools for different jobs
so it is!
