Sig-Sauer P938 $750 PAPERWEIGHT!!!
Просмотров 2034 года назад
The P938 has surfaced a new issue! I've contacted Sig to have them warranty fix the gun and see if that solves the issue, but here you have it. 4 rounds loaded, 3 shots, and on the last ejected a live round!!
Mag dumping 50 rounds!! Intratec Tec-22.

Can an AK platform 12 Gauge shotgun fire from the mud?

Tec-22/is it the perfect apocalyptic carry pistol?!
I'm posting this on every YT video I find on this gun in hopes that the word gets out. This isn't saying you're wrong, because I don't think you are, it's just additional info to help avoid jams. In case you don't have the manual, I'd like to share with you and anyone who finds your video and reads the comments, what it says about ammo. "Intratec magazines are made to function with Standard, High velocity, Long Rifle Cartridges. Ammo with truncated heads, those with a sharp angle on the nose, can jam. Examples of truncated ammo include Remington "new" Thunderbolt (that word "new" was relevant when I got the gun in 1989 or 1990), Remington Viper, Yellow Jackets, and any brand of Hollow Point Winchester. Also, hollow point ammo, in general, can cause malfunctions." BTW, If you have the case for the gun, you might find the manual under the foam liner. Many people overlook it. I'd also like to point out that gripping the mag with the offhand when firing is the perfect way to create the kind of jam that you're talking about. Looks cool, but don't work for sh*t. LOL What 50 round mag are you using? I use Ruger 25s and I have the original Scorpion labeled 30 rounder that comes with the gun (a real bastard to load, BTW) and would like an easy loading 50 rounder. (that works)
Please get some dummy rounds
A lot of ppl say to use a Ruger 10/22 extractor
Does this weapon exist with full Auto as well?
😎🍿 #Subscribed 💯
Thanks for the insight bro #Subscribed 💯
I have something skinny to say
is the cardiovascular failure worth it
This irks my soul
The magazine's are lousy. The lips at the top of the mag have a slightly uneven spread and the top bullet moves around. I pinch the top with channel locks to improve the grip on the top bullet.
The magazine is the issue usually. Now you can get magazines with metal feed lips which the plastic ones wore out after 500 rounds or so. I was having trouble with mine several years ago. After a good cleaning and the new magazines, mine feeds great.
Shooting a 50 round mag in a tec-22=OG Getting 50 rounds of .22 to cycle continuously without a jam=Godlike
Yeesh! Don't slam the top cover down like that! You'll bend the lock latch. Always press the button to open and close. My latch was bent forward when I got it and it also had no firing pin. I got a cheap firing pin and after only a few test fires, it failed to fire, so make sure your firing pins are top quality. I bought two factory remakes from gunpartscorp and blew through a full 25 round mag no problem. I also switched out the original extractor with the volquartsen extractor. I plan to make two poly shims for the back of the magwell to prevent the mag from misaligning. Actually, the list of mods is ongoing as these guns seem to be become popular again.
They also have MAGUTS to give you another round and maybe a little looser spring.
Have p938, FMJ shoots well with no jamming , but JHP always jams. Sent to sig and they replaced mag and polished feed ramp. Taking to range this weekend to see if issue got resolved.
I’ve experienced the same issues… very disappointing as I like Sig’s. Also jams when chambering a round. Would not recommend. And yes I’m using sig magazines.
I just got this gun today and had this same problem with the chambered round falling out. I also had issues with the bullet getting stuck on the slide while it was closing, causing the slide to not close all the way (stuck on the bullet) i noticed this happened the most when i tried to have one in the chamber with the full mag. So frustrating spending so much to have these issues.
Call Sig and send it back. I had issues and they fixed them.
@@mayito714 man i messenged them 3 days ago and no response. I found a gunsmith that'll drill out the screws for only $25 though
That issue has happened to me with my 938 Legion. Sometimes I couldn't chamber a round it locked the slide. I had to yank the magazine out. I resolved it by buying a different magazine. Never had a jam though.
What mags did you go with?
@swordmaster004 Sig Sauer mags. I bought new ones for that model.
Great video, I just bought one used, it was destroying my rounds. I used a Ruger mag still had this same issue, but messing around and doing this helped a lot.
Replace the extractor and use round tip lead ammo.
I use the Volquartsen extractor, factory replica firing pins (May forge my own from 1055 steel later on for more durability), and make sure that it's clean and wet wil oil.
Nice man.
“ I heard one “ Got damn friends
Back in the 90's cost 150- 175
I got mine for 100
Just use Ruger 10/22 mags and be done with it
Proud of this american for chambering his 22 safely within his home
Reliable, unless you touch the mag. BS
Use poly shims in the back of the magwell.
I hope to see more exciting videos like this one in the near future!!! If I was you I would employ P r o m o S M!
What is that?
I just acquired one of these Tec-22’s. Was built in 1992. Seems like either people love or hate these pistols. Thanks for the info on the magazine position.
I got the scorpion model from the 80s. She was in appalling condition when I got her. She's a sweet beast now though.
That's an issue with single stack mags in small pistols... (the issue with the round coming out when you drop the mag). I have carried a 938 for years now, no issue. As far as it jamming, I've never had that issue; but I run 124gr +P speer gold dots. It may be an issue with running 115gr or lighter loads. Comparing the 938 to a 365 also doesn't really make much sense.
Do ya'll and the kimber folks carry a round in the chamber with hammer pulled back with safety on in your pocket
Just say cocked and locked, many ppl carry that way
Of course
You need knowledge and experience for an opinion good enough to answer questions , and you don't Have it.
Jesus christ the pros on here. Nice bike man, cool cold start
Yeah, as soon as it didn't want to start I knew it was gonna be juicy. This was also pretty heavily edited, I think the first try before I pulled the jump box out I tried for a solid 5 minutes.
Garage looks like a fire hazard. Needs a good cleaning.
Fuel injection should not have a problem with the cold. Low battery voltage may be the problem. The fuel pump needs alot of pressure. She probably started just fine the next day.
Ya know, ironically enough I haven't figured out what the hell this was to this day. It seems whenever it's cold, this is what happens. Starts perfectly fine when it's warmer. Even with the battery full, it seems to do this same thing whenever it's below freezing. I have to disconnect the fuel pump, turn it over so it starts and dies from no fuel, then reconnect it and turn it over again and it fires right up. Standard procedure of just turning the key and starting it almost seems to flood when it's too cold out of something.
What you building?
Nothing, just leftover concrete from a small pad I did and some plywood from a roof repair on the shed.
my carbureted evo fires right up in cold temps
I was shocked it didn't fire right up to be honest 🤣🤣
Why don’t you just buy a battery tender?
I have one lol
Where are you even going at that temperature
No where, the bike needed to be started and ran for a while to charge the battery and keep the fuel moving, I don't winterize because in a few month I'll just be riding again. Just go out and run it for 20 to 30 minutes every 2 weeks or so to keep stuff moving with a fan on it to keep it cool.
@@nickhenson500 why not ride it.....heated gear is well worth the money.
@@nickhenson500 you're doing more harm than good running it like that. You will never charge a battery that way and all you are doing is circulating condensation in the motor. Idling will never boil off the water your circulating into the oil. Best thing you could do is add some Stabil to the fuel, run it for 5 minutes, top off the tank, put on battery tender and change the oil before winter.
Definitely stock
Yeah, just oil catch can for the breather bolts, oil ventilator from A1 cycles, and I cut the baffles out because that's how the bike should've been from the factory. Was way quiter before I removed them. Lol I don't care to modify it, like at all really. Waste of money to even buy the thing as it sits, and that's something I don't like doing often. Hell I've thought about selling it to get my money back. 🤣🤣 a lot I could do with all the money.
You got more problems than just it being cold the way that sucker is smoking like that just out of the right Bank
How tf do I make my tec 22 full auto
U don't an say u did
It wasn't made to be full auto. There was a recall for auto bursts by faulty guns, but you're asking for trouble trying to make it full auto!
Damn you didn't miss once. Yeah I think they're dead
That's a gem.
I’ve been reading a lot about the top Bullet dropping out when the mag is released. I’m looking at these videos for answers because my brand new P938 SAS does this exact thing. I chamber then drop the mag to slip in one more...top bullet comes flopping out. Is there a fix or something I just have to accept?
ive been told it cant be fixed its part of the design. i did send it to SIG and they warrantied the extractor and spring and fixed most of the issues other than the round falling out of the mag well.
First of all, hold your camera in the proper perspective, landscape!! Secondly, google any model of any firearm and you will see a few people with issues. You are one of the few. I have the P238 and the P938 Equinox and both have fired flawlessly with over 700 rounds each. You praise the 365 which you admittedly stated that you have not fired yet, great objective review, NOT! Plus one is striker fired and the other a 1911 manual of arms. You are definitely inexperienced in fire arms, maybe some of your problems are operator error. Just saying.
They replaced extractor and spring, both were faulty. bullet still drops with mag release, was told its designed that way, not intentionally, but no way to fix it. many others report the same issue and all told nothing can be fixed, so thats just the way it is.
...and that "pully thing" that grabs the spent round is called an "ejector"...
The top round in the mag is drawn forward by the preceding round feeding into the chamber. I have not had a live round fall out with the mag, but the top round is always well forward of being completely seated in the mag, on the extremely rare occasions that a partial mag is removed from the gun. It has never caused a functional issue in 4,000 rounds. "Jamming up" is another issue, and should be fixed.
I have had a p938 for about 5 years, only issue I had was at first my thumb would press the mag release when it would recoil and once in awhile the mag would pop loose. Once I realized what was happening I adj. my grip and no problem. When releasing mag. I do notice the top round is slightly forward but I have never had it fall out. I have never had a jam or fail to feed, after making a correct grip reflex, I have had no issues. This is the only small gun I have ever shot well, and it is really fun to shoot, it's what I carry when I do.
Why would you load it that way?...magazine in first and then load one from the chamber and then drop the magazine and load one more in the magazine?...what?...with the magazine removed you would slide back and lock in place and chamber a round and release the lock and insert the magazine and that’s it...6+1...seems as though you’re doing to much work for 6+1.
I’ve got the same exact pistol, even same color, grips everything, mine doesn’t do that. Mines been flawless. Only thing that’s weird is you really have to smack the mags to get them locked in.
What was your 938 at Sig for? Was the problem fixed?
If you check out the video I have posted about it being a paperweight, that was the issue we kept having. It would eject a live round after firing another round. They fixed the problem they say, replaced the extractor and spring.

What brand of magazine are you using?
I find the wiggle room of the magazine is really the problem, you have to keep it pulled forward to the barrel or you end up jamming a round downwards. They feed very poorly because of that wiggle room. Also, lots of lube help these. This is just an off brand magazine believe it or not.
Lol
