    Native English speaker here, and I disagree with your lesson. Perhaps in your part of the country you speak that way, but it is not correct, it is slang/ lazy speaking. We pronounce all the letters. For example, winter and winner do not sound the same.

    Then most Americans are wrong! They should somehow respect the differences in spelling. Shouldn't they? After all, a lazy tang is not of the utmost importance.

    So filling out a form is actually filling in blanks?

    • @EnglishEvolution
      @EnglishEvolution 2 часа назад

      Yes, filling out a form generally involves filling in blanks as you answer multiple questions or provide information. "Fill out" is often used for forms with multiple fields, while "fill in" can refer to filling in a single blank or space.

    So what is the difference between could and might?

    • @EnglishEvolution
      @EnglishEvolution 2 часа назад

      Coud" and "might" both express possibility but differ slightly in usage and degree of certainty. "Could" is often used for hypothetical or conditional situations and suggests a potential outcome, whereas "might" is typically used to indicate a possibility that is slightly more probable than "could."
