Yeah it should work fine as long as the monitors are within HDMI 2.0 parameters. You can mix different display resolutions, no problem. Let me know the make and model of your monitors and I can confirm they'll work fine.

I got this too, my guess is he forgot to include the steps on how to start the service. Just copying the files to the HA via Samba isn't the whole story. First, I found you needed to install HACS, then pyscript, then configure it for auto-detecting scripts dropped into that folder he references. After all that, and some rebooting, it no longer errors. This doesn't seem to work out of the box on the 48gbps 4x4 matrix, for those who are considering that. Edit: It looks like Avico changed the RS-232 commands from other brands (such as OREI). If you change the action commands to ones supported in the manual, they work with other brands / models.

No its not necessary. The KVM requires two video connections & USB from each computer. We used two USB-C to HDMI Adapters; geni.us/vP3U The KVM includes the USB cable but it is USB Type A, MacBook's are all Type C so we used this USB-C to USB-B cable; amzn.to/4cMV7ml

Great question, it works with both. The intel models usually all have USB-C/Thunderbolt ports so we recommend using USB-C to HDMI Adapters for the 2 video connections; geni.us/vP3U

Hey, Make sure you're connected to the dedicated keyboard/mouse in the back of the KVM, hotkey switching will only work when connected to these ports. Do you have the Logitech ERGO K860? Looks like this is a Mac oriented keyboard, you need to hold down FN then press the Scroll Lock key (top right key on top of *). @@avicotech-us This video and switching them back to the dedicated keyboard/mouse for the KVM helped to get the hotkeys to function but I am still having issues with the mouse jumping/not responding when I use the hotkeys. I tried power resetting the KVM (unplugging/restarting) and saw marginal improvement. I will try restarting my computer at the end of my shift, but this was the reason I had moved my mouse/keyboard to the other usb option. At least now there's no jumping as long as I don't use the hotkeys. Appreciate the help!

Oh you might be getting some IR interference since the port is in the back of the KVM the cables could cause some interference. Using a short USB extender will get the Logitech dongle out of the back of the KVM and make the connection to the keyboard/mouse more stable.

Not sure I understand the question. Sounds like when you switch to the laptop the screen appears like normal but when switching back to the PC the screen doesn't recognize the PC? What model KVM do you have? What's the model of the PC?

@@avicotech-us yea everything works fine, the only thing is that from laptop to pc it won’t automatically switch my screen, my mouse and keyboard are working on the pc but I have to manually switch the monitor back from hdmi1(laptop) to DP(pc). But other way around everything works perfectly

We hear that all too frequently. Many low-quality units on Amazon with no available support. What's the make and model of your monitors? We check the manuals of the monitors to make sure they'll run at the optimum resolution through the KVM.

@@avicotech-us My main display is an LG 27GL83A, 1440p 144hz atm. And I only have a secondary display which is an old 1080p monitor Asus MS228. In the future though I'm going to purchase a Samsung Odyssey G9, I'm kind of hoping to get a future version that 'may' 4k OLED ultra-wide 240hz. It will require a lot of bandwidth and even with DP2.1 it may still require DSC I don't know if you guys make a KVM that supports that, but I may just upgrade in the future. It's probably about 1 year away that I'll get this once I upgrade my PC as well. I mean I'd like to run at 10bit color and full refresh rate but I don't even know if my future PC could handle that, so nothings really set in stone yet.

The Avico Dual Monitor KVM would work for your current setup. It's HDMI 2.0 so it can handle both the 1080 monitor and 1440p@144hz resolutions. amzn.to/4ehCUyD If you want to future proof your setup, we don't have an option for that just yet. IMO I recommend to wait for future proofing because the majority of KVM options on AMZ are overseas sellers with shaky hardware... In our testing the Samsung G9 did not work well with KVMs, HDMI or DP versions it didn't like either.

You lost me at "MAIN".... What model GPU are on the computers? This where the video signals are sent from the computer to the KVM so this is all the really matters. What's the make and model of the monitors? We check the manuals to make sure the resolutions are compatible.

MAIN > AMD 5600x on B550 + 2070x MSI both MB and Graphic SECOND > AMD 7900X on B650 + 7900GRE Asrock both MB and Graphic The issue is when I insert the KVM on the 1080Monitor. A) LG 65" 4k60 B) Samsung 32" 1080@60 from 4 years ago SECOND will take the place of MAIN as the Main Pc, and MAIN will become a backup PC located in another room with a single monitor 55". It's 10 years I use that configuration, with Darta located on NAS or Cloud.... and TeamViewer if I need Local data one from another.

In the future when all computers have moved to USB-C capable of sending multiple video streams and data, it'd be possible. For now you can use a docking station to send all the connections over to the KVM and connect the computer over single USB-C connection.

Using the "mode 2" of the KVM both computers will be displayed (one on each monitor). You can control one computer at a time, you can switch between which computer you want to control with the quick hotkey (double tap alt key). You can not control both computers simultaneously. If you're converting your analog speakers to USB then it should work fine connecting the USB audio to the KVM.

Should’ve bought one of our KVMs, they’re headache free lol! I’m not familiar with AV KVMs but I do know not all docking stations work well in KVM environment, the KVM adds extra hurdles for the video connections that docks simply can’t handle. We usually recommend Dell, Targus or pluggable docks with display link software. If you’re interested in our options let me know the computers you’re connecting and I can help you out.

@@avicotech-us Having the 3 cords, 2 HDMI and USB, worked in 10 seconds..LOL. I had to get a HDMI to USB converter. I'm rolling now. But TESmart didn't even mention it in the instructions

Each display requires 1 video connection(HDMI). The display connects to the KVMs output ports. Display 1 -HDMI-> to KVM Output 1 Display 2 -HDMI-> to KVM Output 2
