Excellent video showcasing this kit and your playing was admirable. Digging the sounds from the module even though im used to using VSTs like SD3 SSD etc its great right out of the box and the ammount of customizations you can layer onto each pad/trigger will keep us all busy fine tuning to our own liking. Ordered the expanded edition from Sweetwater and looking forward to combine it into the Strike Pro SE for a dream setup i have.

get some locktite for that rubber piece it will never come off again . ill be doin that when i purchase mine after watching this video , great stuff :D

The module is almost like my AKAI MPC Live. Hardware and software. Same corporation. If ALESIS also provides regular updates in the future including whole new features like AKAI does for the MPC this kit will stay up to date for a very long time - a touchdisplay and assignable knobs - it might become a completely different beast with only one update... Let's see...

Surge module is same as Nitro MESH. Not the MAX. Nitro MAX module has been updated

I have Simmons sd350 with kick tower. Im thinking about upgrading to alesis nitro max with expanded kit. I might save up more to get roland td07 which is really nice tho. Im only using ekit to record so i might be able to get by with alesis nitro max. Just wondering what everyones opinion is and what they would do. Thanks

What speaker or earphones suggested to connect for best quality?

I bought this e drum kit just for rock band 4, and i DO NOT recommend that kit because it is too small, and the snare keep pulling down even though i tight it with a screwdriver. i believe it’s a good kit for the price, but it’s HORRIBLE for RB4

I like the kit. Took one of the velcro strap to tie the snare stainless part to the bar so it dosen't bend and act weird and always stays solid. I'm 6f2 and the kit is kinda small, it's wide enough if you set up your kit right but it's not tall at all, even with the poles set up at the tippity top it dosent come high enough between the legs. Might try that furniture idea. When I listen to a song in bluetooth to play along I can barely hear the ride and the crash for some reason. Maybe theres a wayu to make them louder in the module didn't check

Great unit for my needs!! I purchased a Used Roland SPD SX The Roland was saturated with too many samples and the pads didn’t work … lesson learned by new

What you're playing is definitely not a $500 shell pack. You're playing something with premium shells, hoops, and lugs.

I just got one n love this vid!!! Do you lose the choke and bell features when you connect to midi drums? How can you add it if you can't trigger the grip for a choke!? I added a snare from the nitro about to see if the rim shot will trigger for a different sound!

Hi Nick Just wondering have you tried it with software at all yet? It will fix the problem with dynamic control of the drums but I hope that you get back to me and tell me is it worth buying

Thanks for sharing all the great info! I just got one that was bundled with an additional Yamaha DT50S snare trigger and I’ve been loving it. I’ve been amazed at how much fun it’s been just playing around with some of the presents - I haven’t even tried recording or dialing in any sounds yet, I’ve been having too much fun just trying it out. Haha it’ll be fun learning all it can do.

Try the muffler on the bass drum hoop. Haha

Love my EAD10! Got a sick score on a used unit a couple of years back for around $200. Had no idea about the Yamaha app though. Definitely gonna check that out

My crash cymbal wouldn't choke, wherever I grabbed it, while the ride cymbal choked! Then I took a look at their bottom, and noticed a sticker stating if it's the single or choke cymbal (they look identical). So I inverted the cymbals, and now everything works fine 🤙

Question about the kit, i bought the kit and am having the same issues for most part. Dynamics on the drums are almost non existant, cymbal edges have issues triggering, and most of all i use a double bass pedal only maybe half of the hits register at higher tempos. What can i do to fix this? Would it fix most of the problems to just get a different module?

I know I would need to alter the bass hoop somehow but I wonder what a traps single head kit would sound like through the ead10
