Thanks for posting the useful information. The heat output you felt could be a problem. Some modern lights can burn denim in a few seconds and those with plastic lenses can melt the lens. Does the MT1A have some sort of thermal shut down if the lens is covered when it is on?

I like it. I like the fact you can clip to a shirt pocket or your shirt collar and get hands free lighting. Not everybody wears a baseball cap to clip it

I recently got a dog. Evening walks are a pleasure, but I I am beginning to really feel the need for flashlight, as I live in a country area, and there are not that many street lamps in the small woods near my place. Might this mean that I will fall into the rabbit hole of flashlight too? That might become too much! Thank you for this video, and all the others about flashlights!

My first planner system was a ring one (DayRunner). Used that for quite a few years, but have switched to TN with inserts. More versatile and slimmer for daily carry. Thanks for reviewing!

Hey Jack. You look like me & my Wife agrees too. I have a Passport size, made the cover myself from an old leather notebook cover & put in 4 elastics so I don't have to mess around with the connecting bands. For some crazy reason I keep desiring to buy an original cover even though they're about $80 Australian. In your opinion do you think they're worth the outlay of that much money just to go original?

I like the look of the 1911. I don't have a great deal of hand strength so the smaller gun probably wouldn't suit me. Also, I've had some experience with firing a small gun and I was crap at aiming it, whereas I'm a decent shot with a rifle. Is the 1911 a gun you'd recommend for a woman as a concealed carry weapon?

Been watching you for a bit, and then picked up a traveller notebook from your inspiration. However, I swapped back to the Field Notes notebook for my Daily tasks and morning pages. Might consider getting a "Bullet Journal" just because Im finding the Field Notes note book is a little small and it gets filled up really quick.

I just don't get the pleasure. They think they're nothing more than overbuilt tweezers.

My one change on vacation is that, at night in an unfamiliar location, everything mission critical (my pocket dump, any tickets or documents, critical meds) goes into a sling or fanny pack. If I need to respond to anything in the middle of the night, everything is in one place. A full size flashlight rests on top.

Home Depot and Lowes don't havev a 4 drawe portabler tool box like this. The only one that had it was Craftsman and they don't even make that anymore.

Thank you for showing us an old Filofax binder that was a rage back in the 80s, 90s and early 2000s. Notebooks and fountain pens are making a comeback because digital note-taking is not a thing for some of us. I personally find the A7 Tomoe River notebook with 160 pages of 52g/sqm paper more convenient with an amazing 5mm thinness overall. But now I am looking into the passport-sized notebooks as a daily carry.

3:55 ... this is what stuns me...why would you put sensitive documents (driver's license etc) and cash in a notebook??!! That's what a wallet is for, to keep these items on your person!! I have a passport size wallet (which I keep my passport in while travelling) which has a grommet in the top part of the center crease and is attached with a chain attached to my belt, wallet in back pocket... it doesn't leave me! "... it may not be there when you get back, .... there's that") Indeed, there's that! Reading lists, cigar lists...now, that I can get behind (though I don't smoke cigars anymore I do use cigar boxes to make guitars)...👍

I like the homemade look when it comes to leather goods. Rough rugged look. Stitching that look caveman like. :-)

I have both, but I prefer the Dickies jacket for the way it feels and looks. I don't wear it for work. I wear it as a fashion statement.

I prefer the Lamy A6 notebook with 32 sheets (64 pages). Easy to carry. But if I had to choose between the Filofax and the Traveler's, I would choose the Traveler's. 🙂

How does your wife like the jotter? I have two that don’t perform well. I’m sticking with TN passport. It is working really well. Started using the spending tracker that you do. It is eye opening. lol. I have 3 inserts in mine along with a field notes. It’s nice not having to remember everything. You can just right it down. And be done. Awesome video. Have a good one.

I was very interested in your original Filofax review so I'm glad to see this recap. Are the insert pages, fountain pen friendly? Also, do the pages tear at the binder rings? Which would annoy me greatly, if my pages started falling out. You probably know that Travelers does have a Passport sized calendar insert. I didn't have one so I was drawing my own; like you; but my daughter gifted me some inserts at Christmas which included the calendar. Regarding the aesthetic appeal comparison, I think that part of the appeal of the Travelers is the tactile or 'fidgity' aspect of it. Some people like an object that they have to handle a lot, or fidget with. And the Travelers notebooks satisfy that urge.

You remind me of my son in law. He wears cargo pants so he always has enough space for all the potentially necessary items he might need. 😂 Explain 'toasting' of your cigars, please. Another great video.

Been using the Kaweco Sport for a little over a year now and love it. It's been in my jeans pocket, and in my EDC bag and love writing with it.

Just got one, very happy with it, just a bit disappointed that it does not have momentary on, you have to full click for the light to come on,
