I had this exact flashing light problem but nothing below fixed the issue. So I opened up the unit by removing the three screws in the base and sliding off the casing. And there hanging free was a wire. It was simple to see where it should have been connected to so I slid the wire into place and the flashing lights stopped and coffee is running perfectly :-)
Hello everyone just to let you know it worked for me too. After pressing the 3 buttons it sounded like it was going to descaling mode which is the same sound going off de scaling mode. So I assume it spontaneously went into descaling mode and I just took it off
I have finished descaling but cannot get out descaling mode. The lights keep flashing, even I press the three buttons at the same time, it just starts the descaling, and then after that the three lights flash on again. I have tried pressing the buttons when the capsule holder is out, but didn't work. What do I do?:(
@@pinkykaren1 same here. tried all the tips here. sometimes i can get the machine to make one more coffee, but then it does its blinking for several minutes and power cycling. i *never* get any beep - or reaction whatsoever - from pressing the 3 buttons.
*Love this machine, it produces excellent expresso and love the frother.>>>**ur2.pl/1177** You can use the pressurized baskets if you don't want to work to hard on the grind or you can really dial it in to get a perfect God shot with the single wall non pressurized baskets. I do wish that it came with an optional parnerello to make the frothing a little easier for those that don't know how to use a frother. That bieng said it just takes a little practice to learn the technique. Produces a nice dry Puck once you get the grind right. All in all I like the machine and look forward to years of service as it seems well built. Grinder produces a good fine expresso grind as well*
It's "Error electronic" from "Nespresso C50 Service Manual: General Information; Status Indication" www.manualslib.com/manual/908831/Nespresso-C50.html?page=14#manual
It works. Unplug it from the wall. Wait 10 seconds. Take the 2 front containers out before plug it again, press the 3 buttons at the same time. Plug the machine, keep pressing the buttons until you hear the beep.
thx....isn't the web wonderful.....had 3 lights flashing (had heard an alarm/alert noise from m/c shortly before) ...and as per posts here, held down all 3 buttons while load slide open and it cleared it.
I had to drill down through the comments til I found the solution for me - I had to remove the capsule bucket and then press the 3 buttons! Thanks Lynne Moten "Thanks for this. Removing the front holder where capsules go is essential before you hold the buttons down. Just holding buttons down did not work for me"
Thanks IoP (Internet of People)!! My short-term apartment in Switzerland had one of these set in descaling mode. I thought I lost the ability to make coffee. This post solved my problem. Thanks all!
The machine has started the "de-calcification" process. When the three lights are flashing just press the three buttons at the same time (with three fingers) and release when you hear a beep. After that your all good. This happens when you press the three buttons at the same time when cleaning for example. Hope it helps!
Speak or something and tell us what this is supposed to mean. Is there a purpose to this video? Are the lights supposed to blink or is it broke? Why waste your time on this video and not explain anything about it????
Obviously it's not working as expected anymore and (s)he asks for help. Whats there not to understand? If you had this machine you would know that it's not supposed to blink, if you don't why are you even watching this video?
you don't have to disconnect it for an hour. just when you cut the electricity you can plug it back in, turn it on and it's fine. but what is the problem causing it...?
Just disconnect your machine for at least an hour I had to do that. Then when you plug it back in set your fingers if the water starts no worries slip the piece back where the pod goes. Then hold your fingers you will hear a beep. One light will stay on for me it was the middle one I proceeded with celebration and made a coffee.
Suat Palanduz After doing a round of descaling (vinegar and water run through the machine a couple times), I went ahead and exited the descaling mode by opening the little slide and THEN holding down 3 fingers and I did get the beep! Secret is the open slide door, it seems. I had never descaled my machine! So I took this as a plea from my machine to finally give it some care. www.nerdwallet.com/blog/shopping/2014/how-to-clean-nespresso-machine/
Brilliant, it worked! Pressing all three button at the same time is the answer thanks. It actually started pouring water but I stopped that with a backwards slide on the slider then tried again and it bleeped and restored normal service.
Your machine is in descaling mode. Download user manual from Nespresso and work through descaling to finish the process. Don't forget you need to hold down all three button for several seconds and not just touch them. You must have water in the reservoir.
Thank you for the advice from RSA

Thanks.... press and hold the lights together sorted the problem. Now my machine works perfectly well as new.
Ours did this after changing the spout part and it was because it had gone into Descaling mode
Thank you so much. Driving me crazy! Finally working!
Just tried your technique & it worked flawless👍🏽
Well, did not work for me, just happened after cleaning the damn thing.
Hello everyone just to let you know it worked for me too. After pressing the 3 buttons it sounded like it was going to descaling mode which is the same sound going off de scaling mode. So I assume it spontaneously went into descaling mode and I just took it off
