Note: Sorry for the hiatus, I moved house in May and spent the last 3 months renovating, so this took the back burner for a couple of months. I'm excited to start to record, edit and release again, and hopefully will have a more predictable schedule from now onwards. Should you buy the Peugeot 107/Toyota Aygo/Citroen C1 - A Loose Nuts Car Review
Просмотров 46 тыс.Год назад
*Edit 1 minute 24: I should have said 8.2p, not 82p, thank you Jamil!* The Peugeot 107. A car designed for the masses, but mainly purchased as a first car or last car. It sold very well in the UK, but should you buy one today? Join me today where in this video, I will attempt to answer that question and put the car to the test with a 0-60 run.
Should you buy the Skoda Octavia vRS Mk2? - A Loose Nuts Car Review

The Skoda Octavia vRS. A good car, but is it worth buying? I must have thought so, driving this car for almost a year ago now, and I haven't looked back. But should you? Follow me today as I take a dive into the diesel PD engined vRS and answer the question of how it stacks up in 2023.

I even make a profit on this car as my company pays me €0,21 for every km commuted and the car costs me about €0,14 with all the gas, taxes, costs and maintenance.

Tbh, I don't mind the absence of sound deadening because I love listening to the engine revving out. Inline-3s have a sweet sound colour when revving, like a V6 cut in half! Plus, sound deadening doesn't do much when the road surface is coarse enough anyway. We also have a Mazda 6 GH with 225/45R17s and it isn't much better in that respect. Overall, the Toyota-PSA triplets are some fantastic little cars and I'm glad I found a good secondhand 2008 107! 💗😎

My C1 has 202K on a 09 plate, a clutch at 95K the replacement is still there, as long as you maintain it, it will last, driving gently helps, update to android head unit but not a cheap one, the bad points very uncomfortable and noisey and you get bullied by the German tractors.

Having the pleasure of driving a 107 3 weeks ago for the 1st time from Birmingham to Carlisle, I can say it surprised the hell out of me, 145K on the clock and it drove sweet as a nut, I say get the rpm over 3K and it wants to pull, and will sit at 70-75mph no problem at all, but the best thing of all was the fuel consumption..... full tank at Birmingham.. drove all the way to Carlisle . Then around Brampton.. drove back... got diverted at St helens added another 30 miles on didn't need to refill until just after Stafford.... the fuel consumption is brilliant.... would I have one??? Yes I would!!!!

To sum up, your review needs better research, 2.0l diesel engines were used in the VRS not 1.9 , first a PD then a CR diesel. The car shown is a total base spec VRS...later models had an optional jumbo pack giving cruise, climate control auto lights, auto wipers and most things you'd find in a modern car...❤

Most of the things that are missing in this specific one could be added during purchase no problem. But Škoda wasn't aiming for extra luxury stuff with the Octavia. Nobody in their origin country had a phone capable of making use of bluetooth audio and nobody here really felt comfortable having anything automatic at all. And it was like this all the way until 2012. They just wanted something that was more than a reliable wheelbarrow. And the people who had these expensive phones just grabbed the higher trims, the Superb or even a different car altogether.

Here almost 75% of delivery drivers has one of these as they're dead reliable. Always easy to make a profit on them as they often scrap them for a worn clutch that you can simply adjust and then sell it to the next one and make over 1250€ of profit. I can buy them very cheaply from the local scrapyard. If you give them a bit of TLC you can make more but it's mostly not worth the time. The engine though is very harsh and always present. Fuel economy amd reliability makes up for that though

Mine has run over 235.000km (146022 miles) and still purrs like a kitten and starts every single time. It's a rock solid engine. Best city car I have ever owned. Gets me from A to B in no time, and it's dirt cheap in fuel cost, insurance and maintenance. If something breaks down, you can easily find spare parts online and just plug them in. Of course if you have no idea how to replace the transmission etc. it's going to be a tad more expensive, but not by a lot compared to newer cars and all their electric crap.

Brilliant cars👍 Just bought 2 Aygos for me and my wife, no tax, insurance 240pounds for both, 55mpg. Not bored with it at all after 6 months bearing in mind my previous few cars were Impreza WRX, Skyline GTR, Mini SD and Audi TT quatro. 66 Plate Aygo is not excessively noisy, boot is great for shopping (2 seconds to drop the seats) acceleration is more than fine for city driving especially if higher revving in lower gears. Occasionally use it on motorways and is fine at 70mph. All in all I would have no hesitation in recommending these cars, but I certainly prefer the new shaped model and with the screen in the dash. Just my opinion from someone with 30 plus years of driving and sick of costly repairs and hefty running costs.
