Automated Contact Sheets in Nuke with Shift!
With Shift you can create complex automations for Nuke.
In this video we show how Shift can be used to process the renders in a containing folder and use those to read all the renders and create a contactsheet for review and supervision purposes.
All of this is achieved via node-based workflows that can be automated or manually executed at will.
Shift also works as a standalone tool or inside Maya, Houdini and Resolve.

    This is confusing target mesh is raw skinning file? And simulated mesh is freezes on beginning?

      Hi, the workflow that we are exposing in this video is a way of adding dynamism, sliding, and wrinkles to your animated skin using simulation by using one single simulation layer. For that it is only required to use as target mesh the raw skinning file like you're mentioning and a cutout simulated mesh that has no animation applied to (frozen) and that will attach to the target mesh. However, your confusion might be coming from you expecting to simulate the skin on top of a simulated fascia layer. That is also completely doable if you want to simulate more complex cases for which you first simulate muscles with AdnMuscles, you simulate fascia on top using AdnSkin with multi-targets and then you simulate the rest of the layers (fat, skin, etc) with AdnSkin. Keep it up :) BTW I hope the slow paint weight operation is fixed with this iteration, that's my only gripe but rest is SOLID, so much faster that ZIVA VFX that I previously used!!!

    This looks great! I can't see any examples in your videos or documentation of how you affect the character model with the muscles? Am I missing it somewhere? Is it just standard Maya skinning with the muscles as influences and use geometry/use components on?

    Hey guys! Is it possible to apply your facial animation solution on top of a head with alembic animation on it? Or it only works with joins?

      Hello, it is possible to apply our facial simulation solution (SimShape) using Alembic GeoCaches. If you only want a simple simulation without skull collisions and muscles activations, simply apply the solver on the geocache and paint the maps to apply the simulations on the parts of the head that you are most interested in. If you want the simulation to collide and slide on the skull, you will need a geocache fo the animated skull too. Findally, if you want to apply muscles dynamics using Adonis muscle patches, you will also need to get an Alembic GeoCache for the head with only the facial expressions and no body animation. If you have further questions on how to take advantage of your AdonisFX license, contact the AdonisFX support team at: adonis.support@inbibo.co.uk

    I have downloaded the Houdini version to try it out and there seems to be no documentation for it. The "tutorials" seem to be just the video above that is low resolution and flashes quickly through a setup that can't be replicated without an explanation of what geometry or locators it is using and how to activate the nodes. Are there downloadable demo materials for the solver? Currently I can't really do much with the plugin to get it working as per the flash through video

    So far I haven't been impressed with the videos shown for Adonis...the quality of the simulation seems to be failry low when compared to Ziva / Houdini solvers, the muscles almost feel like a spring system more than a fem system, I hope I am wrong now that Ziva is gone, but i guess only time will tell

      @@inbibo Thank you for your reply, I didn't mean to sound rude on my previous comments, I just have high hopes for this and I would hate to be disappointed, so far all of the videos have been pretty vague when it comes to the actual solver quality that's why, It could be great if you guys could show what this solver is capable of in a more in deep detailed video. not so much about this or that tool, but about the simulation quality so is easier to see and judge and know what to expect.     Super tool definetely gonna test it to our animation pipeline. We're very glad what does andonisfx can do here but but can you define more specific fatpatterns such as breasts and bellys? Maybe in case you need more cartoon based characters with jelly and volume/sag compression effects?

      Hi there, currently, AdnSkin solver computes interactions against one single target geometry. However, we are working to extend this functionality to support multiple targets which would allow you to connect as many geometries as you want to work as external colliders. An update for this should be available soon

      i am looking forward to taht as well.. From what i saw so far i am not sure if AdonisFX have what we expect from it. Like fascia, fat and skin solvers... Not sure if it works as Ziva at all. I woul like to see muscles attached to bones and not to joints.. .sliding constraints, fascia and fat simulations on top of muscles... But maybe i am wrong.

    Love it ! It would be great if there are some tutorials from scratch to build a setup (muscles attachments, skin fat simulation) with adonis ! It's a game changer with metahuman ! thank you guys for your work ! i will work with Adonis on my characters in a few weeks, when I finish them !

      Thanks for your question, we are currently supporting Maya and Houdini. We are planning further integration in other software and Unreal Engine is most definitely on our radar!

      Hello, it should be possible to use a muscle without activating its fibers to emulate that behavior.
