Cool video. Totally agree about the trap chest, the Siofra River elevator ride, and the Shaman Village.
The true worst legacy dungeon is Redmane Castle. You have the possibility, depending on what your triggeres in game, to go through a empty castle with virtually no enemiea. Its can be quite dull.
On my 1st playthrough, when I realized I had to either Kill Blaidd, or leave him there with his mind basically broken. I made a point to not finish Ranni's questline in NG+ after that.
I hope you're not implying the man invented mimics 😂 The glazing is a bit over the top man, like, he won't f you 😅
I love these games and that's how I talk about them. Sorry the video wasn't for you
@seanysalami bro, i love the games too but again, implying he invented mimics just because you're blinded by Miyazaki is just wrong
It feels like you just want to tell me the trivia fact of where mimics came from so by all means go ahead I'll read it later maybe
not including the frenzied flame ending where everything burns is diabolical
This one's mostly focused on exploration but there are going to be more of these
Did he mention the dungeon with midra?
The sewers are so cool tho...
I can't get behind them 😭
@@seanysalami Still, placing them under the Lake of Rot...
At least I can run through the lake of rot in 10 minutes!
Praise be to you my brother! Sticking by the rule!
🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️
What about Castle Ensis, The Fissure and Midras Manse?
I didn't think they were considered legacy dungeons but if I could do it over again I would. It seems like others would have liked to see them ranked
@@seanysalami yes but neither are 40% of the entries here legacy dungeions but still good video
Thanks bro 🙏 yeah I'll have to put them in a future video
shadow keep is dogs hit and boring
Whattt?! Insane take
I've always really enjoyed Castle Mourne. Jumping down the back of the castle to reach the water is really fun. And the vibes at the end with the ocean water crashing over the floor is so nice. If I'm in the roundtable and want to test out a new weapon I always teleport to the Boss grace just to enjoy the area.
It's so peaceful with the music off
My man went straight into it no intro lol
Yeah tryna respect your guys time! You know what you're here for in the title 😁
@@seanysalami lol you’re right you’re right
You REALLY need to explore heavily to find everything in the legacy dungeons
So much hidden stuff
Nah dawg, Sen’s Funhouse is on top. Also Shadow Keep is Lothric Castle if they removed the INT builds and ghost hentai hand books.
Well that's one way to put it
I didn't love ER's open world (including SoE). I felt the great open areas beautiful but mostly empty. However, the Legacy Dungeons are top notch. I would love ER more if they were only Legacy (and Minor) Dungeons, with a few areas to traverse each other. And I loved your ranking, is perfect. And speaking about DLC, my favorite DLC all time is still The Old Hunters. The atmosphere, the weapons, the lore, the bosses, the music, the level desing. I get that SoE is much, much bigger, but for me Old Hunter is deeper. Greetings and cool channel (sorry my english)
I mean SoTE is very deep lore wise too. Ig it comes down to preference
I loved it but it seems to be a common criticism in the comments that the open world was more empty. And your English is better than mine and it's my 1st language! 😂
As for your questions about Farum Azula, we know that it was disconnected from the lands between by a meteor that struck the land, and that meteors in Elden Ring are often, in a sense, the essence of outer gods come carrying some sort of vessel of that cosmic essence to the land, whether it be the Elden Beast, Metyr, etc. It's safe to say the meteor that removed FA was of a similar nature. But we also know it is lodged outside of time, which is interesting. There is no day night cycle here, and the place is unendingly suspended in a chaotic storm, forever crumbling. The storms are connected to the divine beasts and heavens, which are connected to the dragons, so this narratively makes sense. Dragons are also said to be able to influence time via their ancient stone scales, and so I think there's some sort of Miyazakian tragedy here relating to how their control of time has been lost, they are now trapped in it. I've heard speculation that FA served for the dragons a similar purpose to Enir Ilim for the Hornsent, as both have bodies embedded in their structures and tie strongly to funerary practices. It also seems evident that FA was in Caelid originally
Interesting I'll have to look more up on that comparison specifically. Thank you 🙏
Personally I think the Shadow Keep is the worst dungeon in the game and my number 1 is Stormveil.
The worst??? How
Absolutely love the shaman village. The way it recontectualized what Marika did was so insane, especially the payoff for remembering the shaman lore from bonny village, and the environment. Man it was awesome. Sometimess I still go there and just sit there, relax. The music is just so calming.
That harp just hits different
I love the trapped chest, my friend was trying to warn people about it and it made me super annoyed because of how memorable it is.
I don't think that friend understands these games then 😭
@@seanysalami is wild cause hes been playing since dark souls 1, you'd think he wouldnt do that
I think you should do the list again because you missed some entries . For example: Castle Sol (worst thing ever I know), the one you fight Rellana in (forgot the name), Nokstella, I think Midra’s manor and the area around it could also be considered a legacy dungeon since lake of rot is a thing. Think about it
Some other people pointed that out and it's a valid point. Instead of deleting this whole thing Im thinking about how I can do maybe every shadow of the Erdtee dungeons ranked maybe? They're all so big maybe I can do it that way
@@seanysalamiyeah I mean do not delete it for sure. It’s a great video and I like your content as a whole, whatever you decide to do would be nice I would be watching. Just pointed out what this video missed
Appreciate you man! And yeah other people have commented since it was a misstep.

Belurat is one of my favorites. Cool music and vibe, and a great boss of the area.
Belurat is amazing and that music really adds to it as well I agree
Never thought something would ever dethrone Lyndell as the best area, but shadow keep was insane..... the verticality and interconnectivity is off the charts. It's also way more "connected" with the open world compared to everything else in the main game (2 separate boss arenas, hinterlands, Roah, skadu atlus, church district as well as the whole area leading to the abyss). I entered this place through the church district and ended up exploring everything in reverse, lol. I loved ER's open world, not just because it's great on it's own, but also because it gives the Legacy dungeons a sense of scale and presence. They both compliment each other. And Shadow keep felt like the next step in blending those two aspects even more. I really can't wait for what these guys do next.
Dude right? It's crazy they 1 upped themselves. And I agree with every word
12:05 I think it’s pronounced eener elim 😭
I did my best 😭
I'd say that the old hunter could be a better dlc, not because is better than sote, not even close, at least for me, i just think that the old hunters was a big step up from the base game that it makes bloodborne a better game, while sote can feel like more elden ring, anyways the base game is just so well done that is hard to improve it
Yeah thats so true. All the best parts of bloodborne are the actual dlc.
Old Hunters was way better lol
You know I kinda like the shunning grounds, but puting it below lake of rots is kinda funny tho. I respect it
I'm a hater
Why not include dlc Dungeons Like Midras Manse or Castle Ensis?
He specified *legacy* dungeon.
@@Whyiseveryhandletaken6942yet he included Morne, redmane, shaded castle, and caria manor. Midra’s manse and ensis are easily on par with them size wise.
@@Whyiseveryhandletaken6942 midra’s manse is a legacy dungeon. Castle ensis is a fort. But if castle morne is on here, so should castle ensis
I know the community start calling things like caria manor minor legacy dungeons so maybe that's what they will start calling those two? Since a major boss is at the end it probably can be counted as one. But yeah maybe I should have included them
I am astounded by just how much our opinions differ. Glad you follow the same rule regarding Ranni though.
As long as we both follow that one you're cool with me ✊
@@seanysalami Brothers in (Ranni's)arms
😭😭 😭
Fully agree about Farum Azula being super cool look-wise, and super confusing lore wise lol like how exactly do we end up there in the first place, why does laying down in a certain spot send time in reverse, and how do we get back down to lyndell. Oh yeah and what’s with the massive tornado that is keeping everything suspended in mid air?
Dude I love the dungeon but it's so confusing 😭
No intro, no nothing right into 19 sheesh lol
I want to respect your time! It's already a 20 minute video
@@seanysalami I appreciate it kind sir, great video btw
Thank you so much man! ❤️
The description for Shaded Castle is so dead on
Thank you sir 🙏
yo maybe i'm tripping, but why does your equipment font and icon look different @ 10:24?
I'm not sure. It looks the same to me 😮
I don't agree with the view that "Shadow of the erd Tree" is the best expansion ever. It was decent at best, propped up by the good dungeons within it. Without those dungeons, it would have been a very disappointing DLC. It's the opposite of the base game and removed the knowledge you had from that experience, like exploring. Exploration in Shadow is not enjoyable; the map is designed to lock you out of areas unless you go through caves, which is the opposite of what the game teaches you. This makes collecting fragments a tedious chore rather than fun. The entire expansion felt like work for this reason. Moving around the Shadowlands is also confusing; things you think you can do or reach, you can't. Not without finding the caves which are far more hidden than the base game, on top of there being very few of them. The bosses were just average compared to those in the main game. I think the introduction of the fragments, which offset damage, made the expansion feel more laborious than enjoyable. It was somewhat saved by the Shadow Keep and a few other areas. Overall, I found the DLC to be a significant disappointment compared to the main game, making it a frustrating experience to the point where I often skip it in playthroughs, even as a huge lore fan. I simply do not care for it; it contrasts sharply with everything the base game did well.
Great content though
Man maybe I'm a fromsoft simp but some of this stuff I liked. I can't agree on the bosses I loved the dlc ones. Thank you for watching and the discussion btw
I gotta say man, for me personally pretty much everything in the DLC was a step up from the base game, and I loved every second of it. Though I have to say, I´m usually already satisfied with pretty scenery so my view on things is defintilya little skewed, just because I think everything looks great
@@jakeniclaz5393 I repsect that opinion. It's very pretty and I really enjoyed looking at it. I just thought it was rather empty, with not a lot of caves and catacombs for how long it took to make. Don't get me wrong the legacy dungeons are good, but I thought everything else was such a choir that it killed any excitement I had for it. I've played it twice now and half way through I feel the same way every time. I can not wait for this to end. I just did not enjoy any aspect of the expansion and I think finding the fragments is what makes it feel so unfun.
@@benstrauss6376 I get that, many others felt the same way from what I´ve gathered. It´s a shame, I hope you´ll enjoy whatever comes next
Personally, I didn't think the DLC as a whole was as good as a lot of others were saying. I'd maybe give it a 7 or 8/10. I thought the base game was better. The main reason is because how vastly empty the DLC feels. Sure, the DLC has a lot of beautiful scenery, but I never felt that sense of awe like I did with the base game. This is mainly pertaining to the open world areas of the DLC. Some of the dungeons, like the Shadow Keep, are some of my favorites, but I would just spend long spans of time riding or walking through absolute nothingness in the DLC. The Abyssal Woods actually, no joke, made me mad while exploring. I had to take breaks from the DLC. It was the area I was looking forward to the most, seeing it from the loading images and promotional material, but it was the most empty, nothingness of an area in ER, AND it FORCES you to walk through it all. I could rant on about the DLC, but those are just my thoughts.
Man sorry it didn't live up to it for you. I can't say I agree with your points besides Abyssal Woods. but I feel bad if you liked the base game you didn't like the dlc after a two year wait ☹️
@@seanysalami I definitely liked the DLC, but yeah, I guess I maybe felt it wasn't worth a 2 year wait.
its not empty besides the abyssal woods and finger ruins
@@nierism_ i wish people stopped playing games for ‘content’ instead of an artform. Abyssal woods tells a story, it’s empty for a reason. But since there’s no ‘content’, it’s just an easy jab for those cheap ‘critiques’ a la feeble king or joseph anderson
Did you travel everywhere? The dlc is actually big did you get all 50 fragments? Did you beat all the bosses before people started to cry it was too hard? There is lots of content if you go out and get lost you stumble on every location like I did
U suck. Jk I love you. Please come back. Please. Please. 🥺🥺🥺

😮 This is interesting video .🎉
Thank you!
From the games i played (ds3, sekiro, er) i sorta agree with those takes although i think monk is a better fight than lady butterfly, but MAN idk how anybody can like fortissax if you fight him melee. I feel like the only thing this boss has going for it, is the cool factor. The lightning constatnly spawning on top of you is such a garbage feature and having to hit him in the legs is terrible since you cant see half the attacks that hes doing. And if you want to fight him by hitting him in the head like all the dragon fights are technically supposed to be fought, well guess what, that tiny peanut head is almost never staying down near the ground for more than a second. Cool boss visual wise, terrible gameplay wise.
I haven't fought him since making this video maybe I'm overrating the cool factor 😂
@@seanysalami when I fought him ob my first playthrough i also thought it was a fun boss but that was bcs i was overleveled for him, was using summons and the fight looked rly cool. After countless playthroughs and a lvl1 run i can safely say its my most hated remembrance boss
Finally someone who acknowledges fortissax's soundtrack, it's soo good
Gotta be one of the best easily
Lichdragon Fortisaxx mentioned, instant like and subscribe. Fortisaxx is my favourite dragon boss in elden ring
Thank you so much!!! But uh let's also slow down 😆
@@seanysalami wymmmm
I'm just joking, but Ahead of placidusax and Bayle?!
@@seanysalami I mean, I just prefer Fortisaxx to Placidusax. Bayle though
Agree about every entry (esp demon princes) except Fortissax and it's not the name for me 😅 I think (unlike you) the arena is really dope and I can't think of anybody who thinks the music is even a little bit mid. But I'm just not a big fan of the repeat ancient dragon fights. I really like the regular drake's more like agheel and adula etc. But I just wished Fortissax was more fightwise than an ancient dragon clone with deathblight. Astel his clone is at least hidden away in a far away cave but in your journey you're almost guaranteed to encounter another ancient dragon like senessax in the dlc before bayle or lansseax both when you reach altus plateau from the cave or a bit further before the hero's grave. Also there are multiple non boss variants in farum azula. I get that Godwyn befriended the ancient dragons and that it's lore accurate but it's just a missed opportunity I think. Esp because all the rest is really good around the fight.
It seems a lot of people don't agree about Fortissax and are right there with you lol
Not a half bad list. It always drives me nuts when people talk about underrated bosses they're actually just saying bosses they wish people liked more. Like, no, Pontiff Sulyvhan is NOT an underrated boss 😂
Yeah pontiff Sulyvahn is an amazing boss but everyone knows how good he is 😂 lol thank you for watching!
