OMFG!! Those Ring marshalls have done that several times before in the past. Stopping and start waving a flag in an IMPOSSIBLE to see location, right after a corner instead of before! That caused heavy accidents before. Archh!!! He should wave yellow before the turn-in point of Aremberg. Glad you could avoid him

Why would you have Yellows, its not a race day and there are no Marshals, its basically a toll road with no speed limits when no one is racing

A common mistake ia that people think "Touristenfahrten" is a track day. It simply isn't. The terms of use for this occasion says that the german road regulations (StVO) are to be retained. And with participating in Touristenfahrten you agree to this terms of use. In all fairness, it's not the best spot to place a car without a pre-warning but that doesn't free the participants from being attentive.

The whole setup is an amateur hour, waiting for the biggest accident ever. How long before they get truly serious and run these events as proper track days, with some licence requirements.

For anybody claiming it would've been the cammers fault no matter what because it is a public road There's no documentation that the ring was ever commissioned as a public road. Somebody made an inquiry to the local government about that topic and they couldn't find any documents supporting that claim. So it is a privat road that is open to the public by paying a fee and now you can argue from there that this privat road has the character of a race track and driving faster than you could stop in the distance that you can see is a reasonable and expected thing to do on a racetrack. Thereby warranting the operator of said track to take precautions whatever they might be
