Just purchased a 2022 911 and you are NOT being picky about the rearview camera. It’s awful for a car that costs over 100K. My 2020 Jeep Wrangler has a better backup camera and was less than half the cost!

@@drewztube1 not defensive at all. Your comment comes across as slightly condescending. Automatics have been around since the 20s. It’s not new by any means. You knew I was referring to the new tech of today but you still felt the need to be rude and frankly an ass.
@@VisionT7 I was making a joke about the irony of your comment. Pdk is tech assist. It's automatic transmission which is driver assistance. It's ok if you don't know how to drive a manual. It's not ok if your level of expectation running a channel is that everyone is going to agree w what you do and say.

@@dans4316 sorry!! Lmfao. Funny how everyone praises the pdk, but god forbid somebody chooses one. I would never say it’s dull but in comparison to an air cooled, you are right. Now if compared to modern cars, you feel almost everything in a T. 155 was smooth but I could feel the car sucking downing to the road, the rear squating as the air pushes her down. I drove an M3 on the autobahn a few years back an that gave minimal feedback at those speeds. You feel where this 911 is going in a really good way.
911 is a great road tripping car. Tons of storage. Slays the miles. 18 ways are super comfy. Gets good gas mileage. Passing is easy peasy. I put 45,000 miles on a ‘22 C2S Cab manual in a year and a half and then specked out a ‘24 C2S Cab manual to get the sport suspension, front axle lift, extended range tank, Burm stereo and night vision. Extended range tank gives me 600 miles of range! I can’t remember the last time I took a plane somewhere. And I’m a pilot! You’re right, I wish I’d gotten one when I was younger too.

Funny thing... I too started with a GTS order and switched to the T. Mine is a 2023 and I absolutely love it. Congrats. Did not go for RWS - wanted simplicity and lightweight. Did get the front lift - where I live it's needed. Also went for the carbon roof... because... sweet!
@@nvanpraag man I wanted that carbon roof. lol. I kinda wish I did the lift and really messed up by not upgrading stereo. It’s so bad
@@VisionT7 The carbon roof is very sweet and (slightly) lighter (whatever). The Bose was not available in '23 because of the chip shortage so I have the perfectly awful stock stereo as well. My 89 dollar JBL bluetooth speaker sounds about as good. It's the only bad thing about the car. Kudos to you for road tripping it so much! You've inspired me to do the same. Life's too short!

I live in TX as well, and just got my new 911T transported (out of state purchase from CA ) two months ago and am slowly acclimating to Porsche ownership. Been researching and dreaming the past two years for one and finally pulled the trigger buying early bc I didn't like the 911 changes for 2025 ( digital tach & push to start).

Yeah but only 10% of the market wants a manual. So sure, less supply, but also less demand.
Actually doesn’t quite work that way. True if 10% want a manual when new, the used car market is different. There is a reason why manuals have higher resale. The percentage of used buyers wanting manual is considerably higher. I’m one of them; recently bought a 991.2 GT3 manual. Have to act fast when they show up for sale, because the demand is higher.

@@kappa888af hey man. There are a few out there now. I like my wing but just add an extra $1500-$2000 to paint and correct imperfections. The air cooled are sooo slow compared to the new ones but it doesn’t take anything away from the car. Same concept with a split window Vet. Not fast anymore but no less of an icon.

Why did you used to get a 992T as a PDK instead of manual?
I wanted it for my road trips. This way it’s comfy an I won’t be nervous if the wife drives it during our trips. Plus it’s significantly faster.

@@VisionT7 you get a SECOND car for road trips. A 911 T is for guys who drive, not guys who preen in front of the local high school. You get a mustang for that. The PDK sold you out. That and the fact you wish you could see the engine. It’s been inaccessible for YEARS now. Admit it, you just want something for “Cars and Coffee”. I bet the first thing you did was try to find how to completely disable traction control, because what’s the point of cars and coffee if you can’t do wild burnouts into a curb when you’re leaving?

PDK sold me out as somebody who “preens” is idiotic since the car is faster and meant to increase your performance, hence also improving your driving experience. Oh, and yes I know we can’t see the engine for the last several years, doesn’t mean it’s a good thing there bud. Cars & Coffee is actually pretty fun, but no I take my 1956 F100 to that. And finally, disabling traction control is pretty awesome in all sports cars. Maybe try it in yours and that stick up your ass might just come out. Until then. Actually not as bad as you would think. I averaged 21. In town was around 17 an freeway I could hit 27+ depending on speeds
I guess I'm rare cuz all of my GT cars were purchased at MSRP, and spec'd by me. Two of my GT cars came straight from Porsche Motorsport (GT4 RS and 992 GT3 RS). They were both one of only nine in North America that came from Porsche Motorsport. When they come from Porsche Motorsport then they are at MSRP. But, luckily, my 992 GT3 and my Spyder RS were also sold to me at MSRP by my dealer. This is due to my VIP connection and also cuz I had a 992 GT3 Cup car for a race team.
