      I like hot gas too. It works great when its implemented properly. But on these freezers is not done right and the gas goes cold in about 30 seconds so it cant defrost a froze up coil. If they had one more solenoid valve on the liquid line and a bit of cap tube after the hot gas valve it would be top notch.

Also, to be fair, the average asshole, as well as proper satanists (not those wackadoo devil worshipers), tend to be pretty even keeled. Conducting oneself with a basic level of civil decency, until an alternate method has been called for, is effectively tenets 1, 4, 5, 6 and 7. Maybe first unscrew the connector to the solenoid and clean it at the coil and at the connector of the thermocouple. Use contact cleaner. Sometime it is only corroded a little.

      @@satanicinduction On your Question i tried to remember a bit more. While it is true that I i did all of the above to get my 60Year old Oven to work again, i also moved the Thermocouple a bit nearer to the Flame in the oven. Which i do not really remember in what order. So when it is easy to get to the connector at the solenoid i recommend the Cleaning first. Otherwise order the replacement first before you go to the connector and also do the cleaning first. So you will already a spare when it works. Remember because the repair crowd value their time so much they will all-ways do what is in 99% of the vids. And maybe, by handling the connector they will actually clean the contacts by accident. In the search for my model of thermoelement sealing to my cooking field, which i didnt found, i have seen a video at the very end of my search, where one guy needed half a dozen cleaning tries to get his running. But he had a different, more vulnerable connector. By the way, my(60 year old) connector looks the same as yours.

    • @satanicinduction
      @satanicinduction Месяц назад

      @RogerSmith-h3i i think thermocouple connectors have stayed the same for like 100 years. i use a thermocouple substitution device (AAA battery hooked to a connector) to verify the valve works, and a multimeter to actually test the thermocouole before replacing it. A good thermocouple will make around 100mv unloaded and a good thermopile will make over 500mv unloaded and 100mv loaded. That takes the guess work out of it. So far i have never found a coroded contact at all, let alone one perventing a good thermocouple from working. Not to say it wouldnt happen on really old stuff, but the stuff i worked on was usually newer chinese garbage. Atosa/PCG thermocouples are shit and just dont last very long. Since they all use the same connector, a 72" one off amazon is gonna fit 99% of whats out there and be at least as reliable. This video is about the price of labor being unfair, not the job being complicated. It comes in handy to know how to change it if youre gonna need one every few years.

    I have this same machine at my building, I’m having problems with the water not coming through the water distribution tray evenly, and all it does is make streaks of ice and it freezes to my ice probe, what causes that?

    • @satanicinduction
      @satanicinduction Месяц назад

      Sounds like low water flow from a clogged pump inlet or distributor and it needs cleaning. Could also be the problem this one had with a slow water fill.

    • @vincespaventa3652
      @vincespaventa3652 Месяц назад

      @@satanicinduction I checked the pump no build up or anything to restrict the water flow. Came in this morning massive sheet of ice on grid and probe had to take my heat gun to melt it.

    • @satanicinduction
      @satanicinduction Месяц назад

      Multiple problems? It seems like it cant harvest properly which isnt necessarily related to the uneven water distribution. Have you removed the water distributor and seen that its clear? No bent pieces in the grid? What about calcium build up making the ice stick?

    If you sit down and think about it, it's 2024 and such things like a deep fryer, by design are so primitive in operation and maintenance compared to what we could be building and using. However by making such improvements could and likely in time would put your job at risk if not make it antiquated. Similar to automating vehicle manufacturing or fast food services, lot of jobs end, but efficiency goes up with machines that work 24/4/365. Sure they will need servicing but in today's modulated world a general maintenance person with a GED who can read simple Chinese English instruction can do that as a part time job for minimum wage.

    • @elfnetdesigns702
      @elfnetdesigns702 Месяц назад

      I mean they give you a shit stick with the fryer so the average low wage worker can unclog the undersized drain line.

      They don't give you a plunger when you buy a new toilet

    • @satanicinduction
      @satanicinduction Месяц назад

      While most fryers are as primitive as the ones you refer to, some are full of the kind of improvements you mention deleting maintenance jobs and i have seen the results first hand. Take a frymaster 4 vat filter quick as an example. There are 27 individual circuit boards on two seperate can-bus networks in that fryer as well as two pumps, 8 servo-operated ball valves, 12 solid state relays, and pilot assemblies and burner relays that are designed to be replaced yearly as part of a pm schedule that nobody ever does. That does the exact opposite of taking my job away and giving it to a highschool kid. It makes the thing nearly impossible for even a technician to work on without frymaster specific training. Ive been to the training and it really is that important. If a part time minimum wage paid dude is workimg on that machine there are only two possibilities. 1 he's finna mess it up worse in a hurry or 2 he deserves a raise of about 300%
