I know of a road in Germany that is worse than this by 10x. People from America die on it but the locals usually do not. You can also ride on the Nurenburg Ring on Sunday and ride like a pro in your car or bike! They have an ambulance or "Krankenwagon" on standby.....

There's probably THOUSANDS of roads like this, all over the World....with no issues.....this place simply attracts idiots. It's also a recipe for disaster because you have Tons of cars and trucks driving threw....they can drip oil, leave dirt and rocks on the road....which simply makes Too many variables to control. You could drive the speed limit and STILL wipe out and crash, it's just simple math and odds. I would personally Not ride this road, slow or fast....it's only a matter of time before you catch a slide out.

The only thing dangerous about the Dragon is it’s enticement to treat it like a closed track.

Speed and this road don't mix. When you go fast, you are endangering everyone out there, including yourself.

No disrespect but you must have limited experience to find the V-Strom seat uncomfortable, as well as to consider 1600 trouble-free miles any form of achievement. That said , great bike, congrats, enjoy, and for the record, I'm 5.7 and its absolutely no problem. One of the lowest ADVs out there. All the best with your channel.

You can probably get a better midsized adventure bike than a V-Strom 650, but certainly not for anywhere near the same reasonable cost as a V-Strom. And that 645cc 90 degree twin engine is pure magic.

Thanx for ur video. Pronounced ( Leh- nerd / Skin erd) ..I always pronounced em/ Lynn erd skin erd.. I always though it was amazing, how a band with 3 ( count em) guitarist, made it work so effortlessly without stepping on each other's playing..Fantastic band! Big , ED KING FAN OF!!

my 19 seat is very comfy, I put after market pads front and rear, it stops like my Street Triple. After 65 bikes 63 years of riding I found the V storm 650, it is superb. Plenty of grunt.

Don’t care where you are riding in that area you had better be paying attention! Great riding but very demanding!

There's a story about a motorcyclist who was coming back early evening and slid off the side... nobody knew and he laid there for several days until they found him. He survived amazingly.

I'd like to ride the Tail of the Dragon and Cherohala Skyway, but I'll ride them at a reasonable speed, in the middle of the week when the Road Rossi riders aren't racing around endangering themselves and everyone else.

The problem with the tail of the dragon is people on bikes and in cars are nuts most speed or are riding over there ability

My 1st time on the dragon with a friend, our impressions were this is it?? We found it rather tame compared to many county roads in the Appalachian hills. Dangerous as hell you say? You don't get out much or need more riding experience. The only thing dangerous about the dragon are the idiots behind the handlebars.

Nice review. They are as reliable as an anvil. 180 000 miles is not uncommon on that motor. They are very popular here in South Africa. Many aftermarket accessory options too.
