As for the two characters in The portraits and have costumes based on them, those characters are Shanoa and Soma Cruz. Soma Cruz is the protagonist of the Castlevania games Aria of Sorrow and Dawn of Sorrow. I won't be able to get into much detail without spoiling the core premise of his story. Shanoa is the protagonist of Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia. Her story would also fall under spoiler territory for the events of Order of Ecclesia. The next details fall under spoilers, so if you do not want to be spoiled, do not read any further. Soma Cruz is The reincarnation of Dracula, after Dracula's final defeat in 1999. During the events of Aria of Sorrow he is dragged into Dracula's castle and discovers he has the power of dominance, and he has to figure out why. He discovers the truth about himself during these events and has to fight Chaos to avoid his fate and avoid becoming Dracula again. Now there are actually two ways that this can happen. The bad endings of Aria and Dawn of Sorrow. In the bad ending of Aria of Sorrow, if Soma fails to defeat Chaos, he becomes Dracula and has to put Julius Belmont in that ending. However in the good ending he seems that he is free from his darkness until the events of Dawn of Sorrow when a cult trying to revive the dark lord or replace the dark lord if need be, tries to destroy him and Steal his powers. However, Soma discovers that his powers, an essentially decides to face off against this cult. He fights two potential candidates to become the next dark lord, and defeating them, the cult leader tries to stage an event to create another dark lord. This is where the bad ending of Dawn of Sorrow comes in. The cult leader kills a doppelganger disguised as a love interest for Soma, resulting in him giving into his inner darkness. This can be avoided by wearing a specific item, in the game, which leads to the true ending. But if you don't wear this item and get the bad ending, the events that follow is actually the Julius Belmont of that game. This is a unique alternate game mode in the Castlevania series where you're playing as a character outside of the main one, for a few reasons. One it reuses mechanics of previous entries, as well as nostalgic references, two you play as three characters rather than just one, and three, there's a full-blown story unlike the other alternate game modes, were you simply progress through the map and bosses of the games in the previous entries. Not only that this story is a direct follow-up to the bad ending of Dawn of Sorrow, where are the final boss of that game mode is indeed Soma Cruz... As Dracula.... Shanoa is the protagonist of Order of Ecclesia. Shanoa is actually a member of the order under the same name. The games events cover the early 19th century though it's never clear as to where exactly the events are set, at least in the game itself, aside from that fact. Essentially the orders founder, Barlowe gathered up Dracula's remains, and is devising a weapon and research to defeat Dracula... At least on an official level. Shanoa was chosen to wield this weapon which was named dominus. However as the ritual was in the process of being completed, dominus was essentially stolen by another member of the order, Albus. Shanoa passes out and also loses her memories during this endeavor. Afterwards she is sent after Albus to recover dominus, and after saving villagers who are being experimented on due to having Belmont blood, and reclaiming pieces of dominus and essentially killing her adoptive brother in the process, chenoa actually discovers the horrifying truth of dominus and therefore the reason why Albus stole it. Essentially the user would die if they used the full extent of it. After refusing to use it to break a seal to destroy Dracula, Barlowe actually attacks Shanoa and after a fight, Shanoa discovers the truth. Turns out Barlowe was actually trying to resurrect Dracula. Afterwards it's basically a typical Castlevania Adventure where you have to stand up against Dracula for the most part.

Really enjoyed the game in Early Access but the release version needs serious optimization. I'm getting one third of the frame-rate that I was getting in EA and for what? Some wildflower patches and logs in the rivers?

yep the time enshrouded, palworld and this game was released was a hell of fun for me. i played this games and all of them is in early access state.

did you just "SOME" cultural issue? LOL, i mean aint the blacks having a meltdown about some Hair? not appropriating their culture? where they were not even the first one used it. its mostly used in the north. but this game didnt just tackle SOME hair, they also tackle their religion, their season, the crops, their history , do you think this is SOME issues being nitpick? the joke is the person who saying seeing just the trailer "Yep this is legit"

Sometimes people instead of doing their jobs are instead just going through the motions and not caring if it affects other people 😢

Learning how the sketchbook work would have helped a lot here, i think it needs better tutorials for the different game features it has
