​@@GadgetEpicUniverseMakes no sense. It's LCD Panel with a background LED light. Between the LED and LCD is the quantum dots panel to improve the contrast. Quantum Dots is not the panel! The panel is the first display and is va or IPS for the typical budget TVs.

Absolutely agree! This effectively eliminates the need for a projector. Even at $11K, it offers reasonable value. To achieve a similar contrast (though falling short) with a projector and true 4K resolution, you're looking at over $4K, and a high-quality screen would add another $2K. And yet, the image still wouldn't be as impressive as the mini LED display here, especially with HDR content. It's no contest with the nits the TCL can produce and full-array backlighting. Fingers crossed it makes its way to the US next year.
