i remember my friend saying during the opening, “gee they should go into ‘Feed the Machine’ from this”. we loat our minds when it happened. Scared the pants off our youth group kids who were up at the stage trying to get up front early for For King & Country.

Coming back to this in 2021 and man... I hope they realize how much their music meant to me and many others. Being a christian but also being into rock didn't make it easy going to winterjam with my youth group and friends back in high school. Most of the artists featured never really connected with me. No offense to contemporary Christian artists but damn most of it sounds fake and all the same. Bands like Red on the other hand connected with me on a literal spiritual level. I dont really know how to describe it and im just rambling at this point, but I really hope bands like this continue to exist in the christian scene for people who need something more hardcore to connect to.

2015 was our church's first Winterjam and boy did i feel welcome! We arrived late and didn't stay long enough to see Skillet's show. 👎👎 Great memories.

Went to my first Winter Jam this past Sunday. Main acts I wanted to see were Red and Crowder. Was sorta disappointed Red only had a 4 song set and the crowd reaction(or lack thereof) was just as bad. Mike didn't say much at all compared to this. Kinda felt bad for them. Idk if the hard rock genre turns off people but there seems to be this stereotype that you can't be a Christian and listen or be in a rock band. Funny enough people were dancing and reacting to the rap artists(not a rap fan lol). All that aside I really enjoyed all the sets. No matter what artist you went to see or what genre you like the best, it doesn't matter cause we are all believers in one big room, enjoying the show and praising God!
