when i first got my IS i took it to lexus dealer and got quoted for the timing cover reseal like 5k. i paid 7k for the car 112k miles and i def didnt think it was worth the reseal cuz i could just get a whole other car for that money so i been using it since im at 143k miles and it leaks a lil bit but just make sure you arent ever low on oil and ur gucci and honestly unless you can do it yourself or have someone that can do it for a decent price it aint worth it. you dont get a check engine light from that and its just a lil leak i only have to add a tiny bit of oil like once inbetween oil changes but it might be worse for some idk🤷‍♂️
