@@vikingerik80 thanks man! It's already made a huge difference it can idle 20 to 30 seconds where before it would stall as soon as you turn the choke off

Sorry you are having issues I hope you can get them sorted out.. main issue we are having right now is the bike will not idle unless you have the choke partially on. I am trying to learn more about carburetors might have to take it apart and clean the idle Jet. For now we are running heavy doses of the Amsoil quick shot in the gas on a whim that it might clean it out.... Let us know how yours turns out

Those are solid engines. I had to replace a carburetor on one Before due to that ethanol gas sitting in the bowl 😊

Yeah we'll be giving the Amsoil fuel additives and power foam a try along with the small engine oil and eventually the Amsoil go-kart oil! Yep I hope Buddy does not have to learn the hard way 😮

@@MikeTrullAmsoildealer You really did empower me to use the Amsoil small engine oil in the machines. After using 10W-30 Amsoil on Kohler Command 15 HP, the hydraulic lifters on intake and exhaust valves quieter right down. I was amazed.

@@jacobfidgetandslime8039 yes the Amsoil Pi and upper cylinder Lube can be used at the same time.. Pi every 4,000 miles and Upper Cylinder Lube is designed for every tank

@@ryllyduc1198 I feel your uneasiness if the transmission has never been serviced... most will agree that a drain and fill is safe since you're only changing part of the fluid at a time. I looked up just to make sure that your 05 takes the same fluid and yes it looks like the Red Label Amsoil product code ATF... it is fully compatible with the Honda fluid but you would experience greater performance overtime if the fluid were completely switched out. You didn't say whether you have the J30 V6 or the other one, but looks like they call for all the same stuff: www.amsoil.com/lookup/auto-and-light-truck/2005/honda/accord/3-0l-6-cyl-engine-code-j30a4-5/?zo=1463115 Hope that helps. Glad you inherited such a great car and hopefully with a few drain and fills you can keep that transmission going

@@MikeTrullAmsoildealer Gotcha, over the course of 3-4 drain and fills it would likely improve and be just about all fresh. Of course I'd drive it for awhile between those services. I believe it is a J30 motor. We've been fixing typical oil leaks on it and getting it healthy to hopefully keep the ole girl around for awhile. Appreciate the response and info. When it's time to order I'll use your website sir.

@MikeTrullAmsoildealer we own five Honda's. I do most of the work. Usually recommend timing belt, water pump and tensioner every 100,000 miles. Much cheaper than replacing engine.

@@gearheadgregwi okay we should be good the Carfax showed that it had been replaced at the dealer before we bought it. So we should be good until around 200k we are at 178 now

Thanks for the comment welcome to the channel! Yeah Amsoil signature series is pretty much all I do. Even if a vehicle is old and has a lot of miles as long as the vehicle runs well does not leak or burn oil excessively and there are no signs that the engine is completely full of sludge for example I will go ahead and switch it over to the Amsoil 100% synthetic. I usually start with the Amsoil engine flush and if you're worried about the contaminants coming loose you can always throw a cheap oil filter on before you run the engine flush for 15 minutes and then go ahead and proceed with the Amsoil oil and filter. The e s t e r in the Amsoil will continue to clean up the engine so sometimes and early filter change is warranted after the first time switching over to Amsoil Signature Series. This particular Escalade is still going strong at around 350 K I believe. Hope to do an update video soon

you would locate your transmission cooler lines. Generally one comes out of the transmission goes to the radiator cooler and then returns to the transmission depends if you have metal lines or a rubber part at one point is usually easier to tie into

Thanks for reaching out! It solved one leak but sadly there are many others.... I think my plan at this point is to just keep adding oil until I have to have the timing belt done and have them do valve adjustment/valve cover gaskets and any other leaks they can fix without too much trouble

Great idea thanks for the feedback! On the two oil analyses that I've done on this car there was never any fuel dilution in the oil which led me to believe the fuel pressure is simply bleeding off back into the fuel tank.

Thanks for the feedback! So looking at the oil analysis everything is in check... viscosity, Total Base Number, oxidation, fuel dilution, water contamination, wear metals, etc. When you combine a true chemically engineered synthetic lubricant with secondary or bypass filtration that continuously cleans the oil to 2 microns absolute it greatly extends oil and Equipment life.
