My 98RV was part of a recall notice and the spare tyre winch cable was replaced with a more reliable chain. While inspecting their workmanship at home that anti theft spline thing fell out on to the ground. However the recess left behind has 2 lobes inside that accept the hook on the end of the jack handle. Anti theft device has been in glovebox for 20 years.

Thanks for the video. I replaced the handle on mine to a low profile handle. This meant I needed a different cable length. Ever since then, I am never sure if I have made the cable length correct. I've had about 3 goes at it so far already. It doesn't help that I have no flat area to work under the trailer. There is a double crimp under the trailer at each end of the cable to set the approximate length. It is difficult to get this to be right where you need it before fine tuning with the threaded cable adjuster at the front. Mine runs through fixed eyelets which means I don't need to worry about any pulley jams - but it means there is no easy adjustment to take up cable slack.

LOL wtf is that thumb and that canvas cover about? lol Hilarious. The thumb providing a little spring tension isn't a terrible idea, some of the other stuff on there looks like a end of the world movie. An easy hitch solution is to just weld a 2" standard receiver hitch from a truck onto the top of the blade, then you just use the blade the way you would your truck bumper.
