If you notice the other characters on the stained glass show what happened to each world for snow white her world isn't gone yet since if you beat deep jungle before wonderland snow white replaces Alice Belles glass shows only beast with his eyes open yet the others are closed this shows thst the world was destroyed and only beast escaped along side belle

Holy shit nostalgia. It’s Tuesday, December 19, 2023. Such a classic game, phenomenal music that I have a great appreciation for, especially now that I’m older. Miss these days but time must and will always go on. If anyone sees this fairly recently, happy holidays! Glad we could appreciate the same music!

I just realized that the Kingdom Hearts 1 dive to the heart wasn't a dive to Sora's heart. Each Dive into a heart goes to a stained glass platform filled with people and symbols important to that person, while they are in the center, depicted as sleeping. Sora's first Dive was into the hearts of the princesses, where Roxas Dove into Sora's heart. In Kingdom Hearts 1, Sora is having dreams, repeated dreams. His heart is _open_ , so he is receptive to the princesses reaching out with _their_ hearts. Sora was chosen, not by the Keyblade, but by the sleeping princesses. Those living being who represent the realm of light. That's why he was giving the Keyblade of the Realm of Light, the Kingdom Key, the opposite of the Dark Realm's Keyblade, Kingdom Key D. This is why Sora was unaccounted for in Xehanort's plans, because he didn't know that the worlds and princesses had an emergency plan, should darkness start winning. This is why the normal rules were bent over and over for him, because the realm chose him as its hero. And at the end of KH3, he was punished as gently as possible, because he was the chosen knight of the princesses. He was allowed to take Kairi's place.

Even tho KH3 wasn’t the best, hearing this song again when it first started it almost made me break down. KH2 was so good man.

I know it was the tutorial and all, but at the time we had to idea we were diving into the princesses’ hearts

The thing with the OG Kingdom Hearts is that they captured this feeling of being the "chosen one" in a way I don't think any other game really has before or since. This intro sequence really hammered it in at the start. When kid me first started playing this, I didn't know what I was fighting in the sequence, but I knew that the fate of the world depended on me fighting it. I felt like I was the central figure of something so much larger than I was. No other game in the series really recaptured this feeling in the same way.

What immediately enchanted me about this game as a kid was seeing the opening end with a Disney Princess stained glass, then followed by this haunting theme. It was Disney but darker. I had never experienced anything like it before.

Kid me (Below 10 years old) grew up with Disney. Then Pre-teen to Teen me experience Final Fantasy. Then saw this game being played at a rental. Curious to see the Disney and Final Fantasy casts in it. Then boom I am now a KH Fan.
