I was lucky enough to drive one of these around the backroads of Silverstone I had a guy I was teaching in a group about rear wheel drive rallying on gravel and he first turned up in one of those Mitsubishi FQ 400 then he wanted me to do a whole day with him on his own a one to one and when I saw what car he’d brought with him I nearly fainted ! It was this GT1 same colour and he let me drive it in the lunch break and can honestly say it was fabulous because another customer let me drive his F40 but this was next level the power was unreal and the noise it made was also unreal and it’s THE best car I’ve ever driven and to be honest he was a good driver to we were in the old flat front RS2000 and he really did a great job 👏🏻but I said to him don’t go driving the GT1 like an escort 😂 because the speeds you will be doing will be quadruple of what the escort is capable of ! I was so grateful to him for that drive and he had another couple of gorgeous cars including and Aston Martin V8 Vantage which is some beast !

Yeah police these days are starting to move away from these plate things. Realising that there’s real crimes out there & lack of resources. So they prefer not to be the sad jobsworth that had an honest person fined for such a thing!!

This is exactly why I don't want to bother taking a car like this in public because of people like this filming the plates without permission and posting publicly .
The crowd that this car and the Ford GT next to it attracts is massive I think if the owner wanted their car to be parked in the hotel’s underground car park they would of done it 👍
