You know what Kaiba lost integrity by not inviting Joey into battle city. He made it to the finals of duelist kingdom and beat some of the people who were invited to battle city. Kaiba didn’t invite Joey because he didn’t like Joey which is a dumb reason to not invite one of the better duelist in the game

There is also the fact that at the end of the original Yu-Gi-Oh series (at the end of the Seal of Orichalcos arc) was 4 years after the duelist kingdom arc, and they both sacrificed themselves for the other at some point in that arc. One of the villains of that arc was trying to drive a wedge between them and even said at one point in his internal monologue that no matter what he does Mai will always love Joey.

Okay guys here me out. I think for Tristan he should have something related to his time in monster world from the manga/season 0. We'll call it the magic gun man deck. Put in some western outlaws into and this is how it can function. This arcitype is a warrior type monster that can bring up equip cards from the deck, GY, and or removed from play. The equiped cards can be weapons that the wild west introduced. And have different abilities to destroying spell and trap cards, weakening a mosnters attack and defense, and of course powering them up. I see a lot of potienal to be used here in this kind o

Honestly it's between Buster Blader or Mythical Beasts. With Mythical Beasts he could run an Illusion deck with them pretty well and it could give Joey and a few others a hard time, granted not against the mains (Yugi, Kaiba, Marick) but none the less it'd be a problem for em. Alternatively Buster Blader had some good support even back then so it could also be one hell of a fight for everyone too, and if he took a note from Yugi he'd probably get a Dark Magician or a method to use enemy monsters for fusion to give Yugi a hard time too. Imagine if Yugi had to deal with the idea that he could get Dark Magician stolen for a fusion of a monster that he gave to him? It'd be Dualist Island all over again when Joey got Yugi with the time wizard. Only this time he wouldn't have a way to deny him unless he had Magical Knives or Something else to frag either his monster or his backrow.

Summond Skull would have been awesome choice.

I think Yugi would give Tristan his Summoned Skull, as Tristan used it in the Capsule Monsters arc.

Tristan had the battle guards, Joey could of gave his two battle guard to Tristan and from there Konami could extend the battle guard archetype

In duel links tristans has a line with gogigagagago and sengenjin but i feel like he would lean towards beastwarrior monster
