But you have to admit, 5Ds is a pretty close second. Atleast in my opinion, 5ds was nearly OG Yu Gi Oh tier, such a good show, and with the card game itself, it was so much more balanced than now.

I’m always so conflicted about this duel. On the one hand, Joey had no business being there because he would have lost to Odion. Big O literally declared the game winning attack before Marik intervened. But then, Joey also basically did the same thing to Marik, all he had to do was attack, and it was a mirror image of how he won against Odion, due to a fainting KO.

I find the Pokémon anime to be too formulaic for my tastes.

I think Yugioh is a better anime and Pokémon is a better just about everything else

I love both yugioh and pokemon, but when it comes to the anime i prefer Yugioh (i watch the original japanese anime) because the story is more mature and the characters dont feel quite as annoying
