Dark Yugi wasn't evil, but he was definitely cruel and vindictive. He regularly made people go through the exact kind of traps people would do to the protagonists in later seasons, generally going far beyond just retribution for what they did. Someone cheating at cards is not justification for driving them insane.
Yeah which episode are you referring to 😭 The only “card” episodes I can think of are Kaiba and Fuwa’s episodes except FUWA had some kind of plot armor sh!t that allowed him to be EXTREMELY lucky for like no reason at all other than for plot. And Kaiba only cheated twice I think, once in the first duel (iirc) he takes the BEWD from his pocket and pretends to draw it from his deck and the other tile being when he gives Daimon google type things to see the cards in Yugi’s hand (Daimon pushes it away though). Also Kaiba did a ton of f’ed up things and really did need that mind crush.
Yeah I just scrolled through the episodes real quick and there isn’t any other card game instance I can think of. Also about the bully the first person is right, Ushio/Trudge did cheat at the game but that wasn’t the reason Dark Yugi punished him.

I can relate though- I love badass characters and Dark Yugi was definitely one of them lol. Same goes for YGODMS/DSOD Kaiba and Yusei from 5Ds. The only thing I can’t put a finger on is why I like s0 Kaiba to a small degree MORE than YGODMS/DSOD Kaiba. Like goddamn is he hot in DSOD but something about his personality in s0 kind of like... idk how to describe it- intrigue me?
