How Much Is Our Fuel Bill In Our Bus Home? | Hooton Lodge Visit!
That’s brilliant like the way you did that well done 👍
😂😂 it would be brilliant if you could do that for real 👍🫶🍻
It would be amazing and some serious time saving 😂
😂
It’s like grow your own dinosaur 🦕
I washed mine today...... And It Rained. Aghh! 🤬
Ahaha always the way! Was good to get all the salt and crap off it though from the roads lol ! Cheers for watching
Blimeyyyyy! You're doing an amazing job.
We will get there one day!!! 😂 thanks for watching .
Yeesh! Genuinely thought that rad was serviceable until you breathed on it and it collapsed into a heap! 😮 Keep up the good work! 👍🏻
Thanks For watching! Yeah I was shocked when it fell. So much for a smaller job!
Sorry but God this was painful to watch.
Well thank you for watching !!
I own a 1987 mk1 Renault Trafic eribacar which looks terrible but is quite solid after a lot of rot was cut out of it, I'm shocked at how bad this bus has rotted, mind you I think your bus is new, in reality its coming up to quarter of a century old. Hope you can sort it out. 😊 Graham, parked up for the weekend at Middlezoy airfield in the pouring rain and loving it. ❤
Hope it goes ok, but god I bet your wishing you’d never bought that
It’s part of the story I guess. All in the fun and we will get sorted :)
Hope for your sake it not terminal , be a big blow to you if it is. Be good to see you start installing instead of ripping out. Hope it’s good news 🙏
It’s not great but I think we can sort it. It’s going to get worse. ( next week video) but I think we have a plan !
Don't be despondent Conrad, its only box section, but just a word of advice, don't go looking for it till you have sorted the first problem out, its easy to get over faced with too many issues and lose interest, been there myself as I,m sure any bus preservationist worth their salt would have been too, I rebuilt WYPTE 5505 back end and it was daunting at first, all the box section and main cross member were rotten, i got there in the end and saved another from the doubting Mini's that said it was scrap! I've since made outriggers, body frame sections etc, etc, I'd love to help but i've got 4 of my own on the go and not enough hours in the day! Find yourself a really good fabricator with quality welding skills and equipment and they'll sort it no bother! All the best, Cracking channel!
Was the air con system certified degassed before you took the angle grinder to it because if it wasn't and you are not f gas certified engineer the environment police may be paying you a visit after watching your video ,condensers are notorious for rust by the way and if that ac compressor is good its worth a fair bit of cash .
Yeah it was already cut when we got the bus and we had it checked by a coach mechanic who confirmed it was empty too ! The compressor is good and awaiting a new home! Thanks for watching
@@six_inabus nice one a former colleague of mine got £11000 fine for working on a system uncertified (not a bus but an ac system) that list of jobs is getting pretty long now ,hope you get it done tho so you can sell me your fleetline .
Good luck hope its ok
Thank you ❤️❤️
its just chunks of box section you can cut it out and replace it
That’s what we are been told. It’s looking promising! Thanks for watching. .
The Darkness must have spilt a lot of drinks for it to be that rusty.
Ahaha fair to many!!! Thanks for watching
Hi guys hopefully she will be repairable, judging by the downstairs windows it may be Worth removeing all the internal trim upstairs, especially where the fish tank is(unless i missed that bit?)also may be worth thinking maybe contacting a glass company to maybe "sponser" a video and have them replace the glass with duble glazed units especially considering this will br your home. Maybe you could use the area where the aircon was at the back behind the grills as somehere to stick a couple of diesel heaters???
That frown at your dancing says it all. Never give up mate.
Ahah you definitely don’t want to hear the singing lol. Thanks for watching
Number 64 in the background is one nice looking bus!
Yes, one of my old school buses. Hull Corporation 1965ish (Sorry for any chewing gum. ;))
It’s beautiful and a credit to its owner!
❤️❤️❤️ it’s had a full restro. But you never know !
YEEEEEEEEEEE HAAAAAAAAA
Yeeeee hahjaaaaa
Parked up down keighley Road 5 mins ago
Superleggero! Having restored a few crusty old cars, anything can be fixed, but hopefully it won't get any worse.
Ahah fingers crossed. I think it’s because there is some much of it, it’s just a lot! But we will get there !! Hope your well
Just passed you guys near Ovenden!!
Just realised that Owen’s ex Kenzies Plaxton is parked behind you in the garage.
Ahah thanks for finding us here
And it is!!!
As long as you can find some solid metal at each end to weld to, it'll be repairable. Whether the cost is more than you want to pay / can afford to pay is the real question ... given your plans will add value to the bus and the time you've taken to get this far, you can probably justify spending more than if you were fixing it up to sell Hope it isn't too painful to fix!
Another title you could have used for this video… my rear end is rusty
Ahahah that would have worked. Maybe next weeks video 😂😂😂
Do you only get a day a week to work on the new bus?
Yeah only at the weekend due to work and kids :) thanks for watching.
Oh No. Not a scrapper!!! Will wait with bated breath to hear the verdict...hopefully it will be salvageable!!!
Blimey! What a reveal. Hopefully it can be fixed.
I think it will all be okay. In the end! Thanks for watching !
Morning gang, it’s one problem after another, hope all can be sorted after all the effort you have put in.
It’s definitely feeling that way at the minute! We will get there with some help! Thanks for watching
fixable? im scared something nasty will be found. Keep going :)
Morning, Rust - the best weight reduction ever, another brilliant video, looks like a big problem, lets hope its fixable
Keep going… brill video
Some work for sure but you’ll get there. PS:Loving the old Hull Bus in the background :)
Blimey, thats a task and a half. Fingers crossed its easy to fix. Be a shame to have to scrap it after all that work.
Don’t worry about it that was a task and a half hope to is worth doing as we r enjoying it see you all soon fingers crossed ❤
thank you for sharing 😊😊
Thank you for watching n
Morning :)
Morning !!! Thanks for watching
Hi does conrad come from Russia
Ahah no quite. Yorkshire born and breed lol
Ok cool
Psv glass and glazing is the best place for you glass that’s what I do for a living
Great video guys keep up the hard work
Thanks so much for watching !!
0:11 Welcome to Jackass 😂 absolutely love it. Also love that you still managed to retain the "tactical tin snips". If in doubt, hammer it out. Great to see the strip out coming along nicely. Will you get to film the repair work to the frame too or is it going away for that work to be done?
Ahahah I should have put the theme tune over it 😂 no I’m going to do the work with help and advice from some experts! And absolutely. They always have a use! Thanks for watching !
very good work keep it up
Thanks so much for watching!
That sikaflex around the windows is also shxthot for emergency oil leaks pre test 😂
😜😜😜 noted!! I can see why! Thanks for watching.
Great job guys. I think Nicole should do more commentating!
Given the rust, I would definitely unbox over the front axel, so it can be inspected, you can always rebox it later.
Yes it needs to be done pretty soon to make sure we aren’t going to loose the battle! Thanks for watching
Genuinely thought the glass was gunna win that battle for a second there 😂
Me too!!! Thanks for watching
Top job boss and absolute credit to Dave the world needs more of him, and silly question I guess but with all that rotten rusty metal could it all not be replaced with timber like 3x2 to save all the welding hassle and retaining it's structural integrity, keep up the good work both
Dear sir while the bus is in this condition you want to try and cut a gap in the part behind the driver so you can access th bus from the front like your present home
Nice to see you having a smashing time with your PPE 😂.
Devils advocate here...Guy buys the Darkness Tour Bus...it looks cool and has history. Guy then goes on to rip everything out of it and destroys windows and guts the whole thing. ER......Why not just buy an empty unfinished or plain ordinary double decker? And then start fitting it out? Instead of taking an original bus and then destroying it to rebuild it all again into something different....I am just trying to understand the logic to it is all...
I get what you’re saying but this work needs to be done or it won’t pass a mot! Putting my kids in this so it needs to be 1000 percent. I’ve already converted one decker so the coach is difference to us. Thanks for watching.
@@six_inabus Ah I see....It makes sense, seems like a shame though to wreck the Darkness coach...Oh well. Its not like they were a huge success or ground breaking like Pink Floyd or something...Heh...reminds me of that old tv series, Here Come the Double Deckers...
Nice 1 😁😁😁😁
Thanks so much for watching .
