Schade, das du den Rumpf noch mal mit Zinn bearbeitest, er sah so gut aus wie er war, ich hatte innen lieber mit Zinn gearbeitet, oder mit UV-Resin alles dicht gemacht. Da ich Erfahrung mit Bleche löten habe … wieso keine Flache Spitze und mehr Hitze? Ich nehme hierfür 480 grad, da das Messing schnell die Hitze aus der Lötspitze zieht. Aber ich muss sagen, schönes Projekt, da bekommt man Lust es selbst zu machen … habe noch zwei Dampfmaschinen dafür hier … natürlich selbst gebaut 😉👍🏻 Freue mich auf das nächste Video …
Sorry to say: I´m shocked. You have had a perfect imitation of the overlapping structure of a riveted hull, and YOU FLATTENED IT OUT?!?!? Now it´s just like a normal plastic hull... All the magic of the hull is gone...
The overlapping was not in scale I didn’t have a problem with that because i was missing that info; now I have new info from one of the tug‘s owners I decided that way, the hull have to be treated with a coat of primer before painting and I will imitate the overlapping at that point
@@zuludockyard I understand. My personal opinion is: The structure of the plating may not have been to scale, but for it is so that the way of plating was the most original, the apperance of the plating was really outstanding. I understand that the hull must be primered, but any plating imitation which comes then ist just that: An imitation. You have had quasi the original... Also the real charme of your craftmanship now isn´t visible anymore...

I assume that eventually this will be painted. And that will be a shame. This is incredible work and a pleasure to watch.
How do you avoid old seams melting when you solder on a new part? or is the whole hull a big enough heat sink that that just doesn't happen?
I just work on small sections, sometimes I use a screwdriver to keep the parts together and yes, the hull is sinking a part of the heat

14:17 - У Вас же есть, электроинструмент... 🤔 Почему же Вы, не использовали его, при пропиле места под шпангоуты??? Вам доставляет удовольствие протачивать вручную? Было бы, точнее и быстрее... Я, про равномерность заглубления. Да проволоку, можно прокатывать на вальцах. Или уже из подшипников сделать приспособление... Я не понял, так сказать, фокуса... ☹

This is so cool! I just finished all 8 episodes in one go. Do you follow a plan? or blueprints of an orignal (big) boat? or is this your own creation? And is all this soldering expected to be watertight? or does the hull get a coating later that is securing the water tightness?
Thanks for watching. Yes, I fallow a plan, it’s a super nice Dutch tug.Some extra soldering inside and outside will waterproof the hull.
