It's very close but with some refinements specific for raspberry pi's. Plus some new methods I've learned recently to make the setup easier and more streamlined.

Graphic mods might be fine but anything that's "new" to the game most likely will be a problem. Like items that aren't part of the core game.

There has been an update to AHBOT not too long ago which gives more options in the config file - have you taken a look? I think the playerbots in cmangos craft their own gear and post it on the AH. I've been testing cmangos out lately and the bots are a bit more sophisticated than azerothcore, but they're not as tough.

Yeah, I use premium for the permanent links. It's like $50 or $60 a year for 1tb of storage. I can't remember what the monthly data cap is but I haven't come anywhere close to maxing it out.

This is for sure the route to go. As for going in by yourself you might have to set some custom flags to allow just you in. Or just using the built in BattleBots to fill the battlegrounds works too

@@jonilaszlo2281 one thing you can try is open command prompt and then manually run the worldserver in it. That should show you why it's erroring while leaving it up on the screen.

I hear ya on that. Dual booting adds a layer of difficulty and Windows patches love to damage the GRUB bootloader randomly.

It's unfortunate that sometimes the latest seems to work and other times it breaks down. Thank you for the info.

I too am curious how you ruined it.

Basically, time shift requires @ instead of / in front of certain directories such as your home folder. I was able to create snapshots for the last several months, but when it comes to restoring, it says that it doesn't support it without the @ and you can't change it, aka Time shift will either not attempt to restore, or it will fail if it does

​@@Digital-Scriptorium Here is how you can check if you have this problem. Boot into live USB, install timeshift, choose the drive where you have snapshots, attempt to restore one of them. Don't worry you won't even make it to the dry run step. When you select your snapshot and confirm to restore you will get an Unsupported file sub system layout. I spent about 10 hrs trying to somehow manually get a snapshot to work, or to manually reinstall grub with chroot, none of them worked

Were you trying to dual boot with another OS? That usually is a thing when dual booting.

Absolutely! I usually just run mine headless and use just SSH. You can also create them as system services which I think the wiki shows how to do that.

@@joshuajohnson6649 that is a very good question. So I believe it will have to be made into a system service and might need some tweaking. Quite frankly the best reference to help guide you with those steps would be your referred AI aka chatgpt, copilot, etc.

Just to make sure a DB change to GM level is enough. Try a different account and up your gm level in the world server console. You can always just queue up battle bots too and enter at a battle ground NPC. Might make your testing a little more difficult as people try to attacl you though :)

Sounds like HermesProxy with one of my server guides is the best option for you. I have a guide on setting up HermesProxy for the newer classic clients. So feel free to check that out.

@@jaysison6987 I haven't seen any issues. If anything I've seen things are more peppy. Just make sure you have the latest drivers and windows updates.

It should work for Home too. If you have function keys on your keyboard you might need to use those to get the F keys to function properly during that part of the install

It's all good! Try MySQL 8.4 LTS. Version 9 is still super new and might have issues. Just uninstall it, reboot, then install 8.4

DB table 'module_string' is empty.', then it attempts to load Module Strings Locale, where it gives a similar message about the Module Strings Locale DB table being empty. After that, it tries to initialize data stores, and returns (in red text) "[1146] Table 'acore_world.charsections_dbc' doesn't exist. Your database structure is not up to date. Please make sure you've executed all queries in the sql/updates folders'. I figure as long as I keep moving on to the next problem, I'm ever so gradually approaching the goal.

This is strictly for the server emulation. The game client you would use on an other machine to connect into it. Like a Windows machine or Linux running Wine.

@@Digital-Scriptorium I used the same version of BOOTS and most of the errors were fixed. There were only three errors left. I'm trying to clone the project and recompile to see if it will work. What discord was mentioned so I could try to find a solution?

@@Digital-Scriptorium i finally fixed my problem after changing things around. currently struggling how to set my account to gm... i've try to set it in the world cmd but it didnt work also tried heidi. even if i set my gm level to 4 its not working in game
