1998 Jeep Cherokee XJ budget build pt. 1
2003 wj. Cluster seems to be dead. I have no fuse in #17. All other fuses are good as dar as the 10 15 or 20s i can check. Whats next??
Lmao of course my roll cage blocks that spot
Gonna try this today if it works thank you. Only one window works
It works !
An absolute useless video without telling which fuse has been replaced. In addition, since there isn't any fuse only for the odometer, other compopnents were probably not working. Why not posting a complete video after coming back home? Or waiting for better weather and opening the hood in spring?
Not the best way to use those splice connectors, and you should not cut any wire in the harness. Use two splice connectors and a short piece of wire to connect the two together. That way you don't have to cut the harness wiring. Otherwise, a great tip, and a friend with a Jeep is going to do it now!!
I am considering buying a 1998 Jeep XJ model and was told the gauges work about 30% of the time. Was your problem intermittent? Also, were ALL your gauges going off all the time..Or just certain gauges didn't work? I need to determine whether the Jeep is worth buying with a similar easy fix issue or is the Jeep going to need a more involved repair. Anything you can share would be very helpful. Thanks. Phil
On my 1999 XJ All the instrument gauges just would quit or not come on at all. I would shut down and restart the engine and that would get the gauges to work. I replaced the Engine compartment fuse box #16 & #17 and now all the gauges are working properly now.
So, which fuse did you replace??
Thanks dude, fixed. now i can sell it without customers complaining
Glad this video helped out man!
thanks
Bruh!!! 😱💀💀💀💀 He spit in your face 😂😂😂😂😂
Exactly what is happening yo mine
Does this car also have the hidden camping table in the trunk, like model 2 (2002-2006)?
Of course it’s the first gen
I agree...Out jeeping Rocks. Your addition of the splice clip was genius
Wats the set up? Tire size ? lifted ?
THANKS 😂
See you later 😂😂😂
Thanks brotha
I needed this. I’ll be trying it. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you I'll see if I can find the right fuse so I can have dash and radio lights when I turn my head lights on 😊
I will take a look under my hood. My tech stopped working in my 2005 Jeep Wrangler.
My front two don’t work , perhaps it’s the same thing.
did this fix it for you? My back two work but front two dont. well they dont most of the time, sometimes one of them works.
Awesome
No this video was not helpful at
Was the fuse blown ? Or was it just not working ? I checked all my fuses and all seem to be intact and not blown . Still have no dash meters working
Did you figure it out?
I just bought a new switch panel from switch dr for 20 bucks lifetime warranty
For crying out loud, turn off your God damn high beam, you're blinding people. That blue light thingy shows high beam is on, turn it off.
I'm gonna try this asap cuz my work truck only blows heat when I'm pressing on the gas pedal. In the mornings I go out to start it so it can warm up before I head out but it's blowing freezing air! Once I get moving it warms up as long as my foot is on the gas
Im a full time door Dasher as well
Jeez thanks sherlock. no dont worry about showing us just take a guess at what fuse it was and call it a day. Damn dude if youre gonna do something do it right and that includes making a youtube video
I was stuck on a hill just like that in my fwd last winter 2001 crv loaded up for this winter lol
nice video
What size lift did you have on this ?
Good tip!
Awesome. I have a 97 I’ve had for 7 years still runs needs minor work but I’ll be lifting it and bigger tires. Damn near identical to yours but dark blue/black hood
It's a 10 amp red fuse #17 on the fuse panel
Just what I thought..Thanks Brother
Errrr drrrer drrrerr Kay?!😃
I know this is mad late lol but did you add the 235 wheels onto stock height with the fenders cut ? Or did you lift it as well as cut the fenders
This muppet driving around with high beams on
So, the back window wouldn't work from the driver side, you bypassed the window control lock which (supposedly) has no effect on the driver's control, and that allows you to roll that back window up from the driver's window control again? I am asking because mine is doing the same thing, I just want to make sure I am understanding you correctly, Thanks.
👍👍
This happened to me this morning. Had to use wife's vehicle to get to where I needed to go. I did check interior fuses but not under the hood. Your video was the first one I watched. Thanks for taking the time to post it.
Love your build! I'm about to do one of these and I'm stealing some of your ideas lol
Thanks for this man, really helpful stuff
Your a legend bro
Pop rivets are made to be drilled out .
Add a can of Engine Restore now and at the next few oil changes. It will improve the compression
Can u link the dimension image?
What if the coolant is topped off, and it’s still blowing cold air at idle?
