The FRR requests of the Battalion the dispatching of a recon asset, to both gather battlefield scan data as well as call in an artillery strike on a problematic base held by Steiner forces.

They therefore, require percussive persuasion to do so. An assault lance is dispatched to clear the way for an orbital drop to seize control of a landing zone for Republic forces. The objective, on the surface is simple. Kill Fransson, and any of his command staff who attempt to support him. As often in the life of a mercenary, things don't play out that way.

This time, the unit is tasked with pursuing the Crimson Inclination terrorist group deep into the Mannedorf system. There, the hammer is to be brought down on the rebel fall back location, on the surface of Mannedorf Prime, raising it to the ground.

On the 14th of September, 3035, a mercenary force is contracted to strike back at Draconis Combine rebels attempting to wrestle control of Nahja Prime. Arriving on site to heavy enemy artillery bombardment, the operation takes a turn for the worse when 'expected reinforcements' turned out to be half a lance. (In VR, with custom modset. WarFX is quite intensive but worth it for the experience.)

In the fourth succession wars, along the Draconis/FedSun front, shit is getting real. Obtained combat footage from a mercenary lance shows enemy forces attempting to overrun their position. (Just some footage from a modset test on Mechwarrior 5, and the gopro vr style it looks pretty good/ using YAML as a base)

Heard that the WYMF5 is ridiculous to take off. Treating it like a FW190D from DCS, seems that its controllable with alot of rudder dancing and isn't too difficult (ideal weather conditions not withstanding). Maybe Carenado have fixed it but it wasn't too bad. Three point takeoff seems to be the way. Threw this together just to show that with strong back stick deflection and letting it fly itse...

that looks nice.. I liked the Crimson Inclination Missions.. to sad you can´t steal a Maurauder II there.
Damn. My PoV is placed like meter over the cockpit and I can't fix it.
the MercTech mod has some options to change the PoV slightly backwards so it's closer to what it should be if you were looking from Pilot's view. However if it goes too back it will start clipping through the chair.
Note this is the MechwarriorVR mod (www.nexusmods.com/mechwarrior5mercenaries/mods/1009 not the old VRWarrior mod which is unfortunately no longer supported and apparently has that issue. Im sure the guys at the MechwarriorVR discord would help you sort if its an issue with that one. Neither unfortunately support MercTech which is why my mod list is all YAML.

Yes, via simulator, reading combat manuals, watching tutorial vids, watching real life pilot training videos for VFR flying, meteo etc. I obviously don't profess to have any 'real life' knowledge of flying any plane nevermind this one. Covid put a pretty solid dampener on that dream unfortunately.
