Hello, is the Hazet 2574-1 hold-down device suitable for replacing the valve plates on a B230F?

This is my guitar; for anyone who wanted an update on this video! @Epiglottis Dynasty set this guitar up for me and we soon after this started a band together. I played this guitar in The Hot Bachs from 2019 until sometime in the summer of 2024 when it finally became too beat up from a long cycle of heavy use and repairs. It still "works" technically, but needs a lot of work to be playable again! I was at my art studio and one of the other artists I was friends with there gave this to me before he moved out of state and didn't want to take it with him. He never played it, just had it for some reason, and yeah, it was in this terrible condition when I got it. It continued to stay in tune like no other guitar I ever had! I don't know if that had anything to do with the tuning gear or if it they were full of gunk. It got a new nut, and a couple of new knobs for the tone and whatever the other knob is that I never used. It got new strings a couple times a year but I hardly ever break strings and actually only broke one string in all the time I had this guitar (as far as I can remember). I liked how it sounded without effects pedals but I've only recently gotten into tone. I never used the built in effects. For a little while I did use a compressor pedal to get some more meat into my solos and loud parts, but I broke the pedal or something. The neck mostly felt good for how I play except the high notes were hard to hit reliably when sweaty and soloing. Not impossible but definitely uncomfortable. I also never got a tremolo bar for it, so can't say anything about that. My BIGGEST complaint about this guitar, BY FAR is that it's very uncomfortable to even attempt palm muting on it! For years I thought it was me, like I had something where my wrist won't turn the right way for palm muting or something. When this guitar finally died from heavy use at way too many shows for it's quality, I found out with my new guitar that this damn Cort Effector had been gaslighting me the whole time about not being able to palm mute! It was the guitar, not me! 😂 For a free guitar, I got so much use out of this thing! Dropped it a few times, broke a bunch of stuff on it, I never had a case for lugging it around to shows and rehearsals, and I never really did much to care for this guitar and it still served me well, like a Haku to my Zabuza! (it's a Naruto reference) 👺 If you see a used one of these for real cheap at a yard sale or flea market or something... and I mean like considerably less than $100 cheap... aaaand you really are in need of a guitar... aaaaaand you think it looks cool and unique, then it is a great bargain! For a cheap guitar, I think this thing looks, sounds, and plays GREAT in spite of it's Sears catalogue quality and age! It took neglect and abuse well from a zero maintenance, rough with my stuff, accident prone guy like myself and was already in bad shape when I got it! If I were to recommend anything to go with it, a compressor pedal will improve the sound of solos for sloppy players like me!

We used to pull this off when I was a teen with normal book speakers, it was great !!

I have a working amp, solid state. Everything works but im getting a white noise and slight crackle while idling. Volume pot adjustments make no change. When i plug direct into effects loop return, the noise is not present. Since the volume control doesnt affect the white noise, could the noise be a failing resistor? This is a hartke b200 bass practice amp. All pots work and i “tap tested” the entire circuit board with no change. I thought maybe filter caps, but plugging into effects loop return sounds clear as a bell. Any suggestions?

Regardless of price, the fact that a plastic mass produced guitar that's meant to be used for a videogame could be hooked up to an amp and have a sound that was at least acceptable is kind of amazing lol

I did this on purpose. I used push/pull dpdt to be able to switch the phase of one of the coils in the humbucker to achieve out of phase with itself sound.

Didn't use your video then, but removed one shim on my 1998 Frontier AC clutch about 5 years ago to fix a slipping/intermittent AC clutch. I didn't even have to remove the compressor drive belt to do this !!!

i play my electric guitar through my house stereo which is 600 watts with 4 big floor speakers and it gets loud and sounds great . but i have to keep my effects pedal pretty low or it will distort

Vrey inspiring stuff! Did you ever get to explain in a diferent video why it's a bad idea to plug in a high gain input and keep the amp on a lower volume? Also, normal hifi wisdom dictates you shouldn't use higher power rating speakers with a lower power amp because they might draw more power than the amp can handle. But guitar amp wisdom dictates you shouldn't use lower power speakers with a high power amp because you might fry the speakers. Always wondered how these "rules" fit in to this type of hybrid setup. Thanks for the great video, it's realy fun to try out these combinations that stray away from the conventional. Cheers!

Can this happen in both pickups? I built a guitar and a friend did the wiring for me, but now both humbuckers sounds really thin and trebley. Even with high gain they sound really weak

While this demonstrates it as a POC, the Quadras were the machines to have for doing stuff like this. Then they came out with the Quadra AVs which had video capture (and DSPs) built in.

I bought this off Kijiji when I was a teenager. Now as a full grown woman with a Squier I'm trying to sell my kid-sized guitar. Kinda bittersweet letting it go tbh. I'll never forget the time I tried playing Hole songs on a livestream and some troll told me it sounded like chickens pecking at water bottles.
