    Thanks for your video. I was using the 'main camera' inside the XROrigin as the texture to stream both camera background and the 3D Object, but it does not work, the background saw on the receiver was black, do you know how i can streaming AR content with both camera background and UI, Prefab together?       @@firedragongamestudio Thanks for the response, I figured so, im guessing that means no Scene Color node in the shader graph either for playing with distortion techniques? transparency works just fine but cant distort the passthrough as it requires scene color to do so and im guessing thats similar to the render texture issue

      Hi, currently only tier3 members have source code access. But everything will be open source by January 2025. So you'll just have to wait 2 more weeks and you'll get the source code for free :)

      Usually the AR object is shown first, but there are exceptions where the hand is shown first.

    Sir, no! I should say teacher. I followed every step of this video. Before learning this video, I watched ue's official network discussion video, which is about the establishment of ar templates. The combination of the two gave me a clearer understanding of how ar can be created, but I now have a problem. After I started device management, the phone's camera remained black until I turned the screen off and turned it on again. I wonder if there is a solution to this problem? Students from China.

      There was actually a bug, which prevented camera access, when using UE5.4 for AR. I guess it should be fixed with UE5.5, but I'm not sure. Maybe test your application with different UE versions.

    so, a little late to the party, but thanks for this great tutorial! I've done everything you mentioned in the video and it works! Unfortunately the app struggles to keep the trackingobject aligned to the image. It's really jiggly and shaky and not as stable as in your video. I used the same Images as you as well as a different image. Both on screen and as a printed version. I adjusted the lights in my room - makes no difference. Any ideas?

      I unfortunately found no solution for this issue yet. The autofocus of the camera may interfere and the images I used are not perfect for tracking. Usually images with high contrast and lot's of features should provide better tracking.

    hey, just wanted to pop in and let you know it worked XD. i was able to use java and create a virtual screen, then attach an image reader to it. Store the byte data in a byte buffer as RGBA and then retrieve the byte buffer data from the java to unity. Then i took the byte buffer data and wrote it to a Texture2D and then wrote that to a render texture. Then i attached the render texture to the video track in your webrtc setup and it works 😜😜 now i can include the passthrough to my video feed! i also created an external node server for websocket because i need to communicate with a web browser and next up is the stun server so i can escape LAN land.

    now all i need to figure out how to do is pull h264 data from a codec as byte buffer data and send it as a videotrack in webrtc XD. know any resources that might touch on that?

      hmmm, sounds like you're going to create your own media server or video player/recorder. That's actually quite hard. you'd have to transfer the byte buffer yourself, convert it into a video stream and then send it via webrtc. Not quite sure if it's possible to create a video stream from byte buffer data using the unity webrtc package. I mean it supports rendertextures, maybe you can do a deep dive on that and check how they implemented that.

      @firedragongamestudio I really appreciate the response. And you nailed it. That's exactly what I have to do. Supposedly it's possible I just have to figure it out. If it is possible I will figure it out too 😎 but again I appreciate your videos at least getting my foundation set up. i find it interesting that you can't use the main camera from an XR rig as the rendering camera for the stream. I'm guessing because it's rendered twice for each eye. I have to do this because I need to include the passthrough rendered image in my stream. Can't wait for them to release access to the oculus camera API. Also thanks for the render texture heads up. You're right. It be better to just pull it from the image reader as a byte buffer and call that to unity. Then I can apply it to a texture2d and then apply it to a render texture which will then be sent over webrtc. Now I don't have to use h264 data anymore. Haha hopefully this all works. Thanks for the mind flow and idea.

    Hey, Great video loved the tutorial concept fast and efective. I'm having a problem in my setup and can't find anything online. My quest (sender) isn't working and i think it's not getting all the candidate. I already added Acknowledgments and come to the conclusion the problem is in the Quest 3 . Any configuration I need to do for the quest? (Firewall is off in the computer)

      There is a catch that you'll have to use OpenGL for building the Quest client app. It's not working with Vulkan! If it's not that, there may be an issue with signaling.

      @@firedragongamestudio Changing to OpenGL worked. I didn't do it in the beginning because of a package I had. I'm using meta quest all in one sdk and with it needed com.unity.xr.oculus package to be able to build using OpenGLE. Thanks a lot saved me in this one. Keep on the good work!!

      Hi :) It's mostly an origin/position problem. It depends which coordinates you'll get from your ML model. Currently the camera has 0,0,0 when starting and the scanned marker/qr code has position x,y,z depending on where you started the app. The geometry is a child if the marker, so the "real" positions don't really matter, as long as the marker is at its predefined position and the geometry is offseted correctly. For your solution it's crucial to get the correct offset of origin and ML model results. So as an example: if you start the application your "Unity Origin" is 0,0,0. Your "ML model Origin" returns 3,4,5 as position. I guess you want to use only the data from your ML model. The minimap should use the ML model coordinates, as I guess this ML model is trained with appropriate data, regarding a building/room/floor. For placing digital content (e.g. walls) you'll have to offset the "Unity Origin" and the "ML model Origin" by their difference. Hope that makes sense 😅

      @@_NguyenMinhTri-fq1bp No worries :) I think modifying the camera position itself is a bad idea, as it will mess with the current arcore session. applying the offset to the digital content would make more sense here. So instead of moving the user to your models position, move the digital content (walls, etc...) to your ML models position while considering the offset of your running arcore session. this way you'll avoid problems, when arcore tries to set the users position while matching up the tracking.

    Hi... I followed every step of the video, I'm trying to create a multiplayer game with the meta building block... I'm only missing the networking part but how am I going to run a build on 2 devices they don't communicate with each other ...I don't know if it was due to some error on my part or if some passage is missing in the video...

      you can try in editor with play mode if the app is connecting at all. otherwise your photon setup may be faulty.

    Only 13 minutes in so this might be discussed later, but why divide by one number then multiply by another? (SimpleDissolveSize & DissolveAmount)? You could have a single float that does both?
