Set front roller
How do you go once you have oiled and filled up with petrol switching the rakes over etc
The reel you described on the right at the start is a power rake, Yard Empire (previously Old Time Parts) have now made a grooming reel for this machine, it is a bit like the verti cutter but has thinner blades and more of them.
What i ended up doing is putting wood behind the roller and hitting it. That way the roller pushed it off.
The hammer trick I'm going to try tomorrow.
Is the cox belt driven aswell? Any belt squeal with this model?
Just bought a 20” Rolux with Honda and 9 blade. Been using a Fiskars and it has done well. But the lawn is thick and tight Bermuda and no matter how sharp the Fiskars is it still tears the thickest parts. Mowing at 3/4”.
That blue looks sicks
Nice video mate. What's the idea of the rubber apart from protection?
Mate to be honest it’s all about reducing noise over hard surfaces like concrete
Thanks for the refresher in this. Keep what your doing easy to follow great job.
Do you reckon you can get the Masport adjuster doctored somehow to go higher than 30 mm?…….
Probably doable but will require a lot of fabrication
@@Chinnys89 I’ve seen people change the front roller for a fatter one by 10 mm and from my understanding that lifts the front and drops the minimum height but increases the maximum height. Maybe I’ll try and get some vulcanised rubber sleeve or something - maybe get some new front rollers turned out of wood……?
Good job mate, I just bought one of these in a 20 inch for 200 m² of buffalo and the maximum cut height is 30 mm. Do you reckon they can be tinkered with to get them up to 40 or 50mm….? 30s on the low side, but the range of Buffalo is 25 to 50….. I’m reading that one way is to put a fatter front roller on….. I’m hoping I can get an aftermarket adjuster screw with a longer thread or something like that
Gaythorne Mowers at Brisbane can sharpen cylinder mower reels
I wish i could a S.B. in America so i can rebuild. Great video 👍
How’s the Briggs engine doing after two years?
Hi what did you search for on ebay to find the slip on covers I cant find anything similar but I am in the UK
25” Cox. Bragging again 😅
Thanks for the vid. I am looking at buying a Predator. What are the main differences between the domestic machine and this commercial machine? I think there is approximately $300 price difference
Just tried this method with the blue couch I have. Which is the next video update?? Cheers. Great vids too.
Good advice. Appreciate the video
How come you sold the Mowmaster after only a year or so? Was there a certain reason?
Hey mate yeah I’m putting in a big shed and will loose a fair bit of turf. Time to let it go to someone who will actually use it 😎
hows that sikaflex holding up
Still perfect, just like the day I applied it
And keeping your blades/cylinder sharp.Good tip n my mate.👍
Hey chin, how do you find turning on grass with these sleeves any issues?
None at all bro
Where did you get the SB sticker for predator motor ? Looks great
Yard Empire mate

You haven’t mentioned where is the COX CYLINDER MOWER Made, I was told that since 2020, the manufacturing plant was moved to the TOPSUN facility in CHINA, is this true? Thx
Mate you’ve asked a million times They guys that build these have told you they are made in South Africa That’s where they are made. Have a read, understand and move on. Made in South Africa end of story, stop asking
You ok man
Do u know if COX CYLINDER MOWERS are now made at the TOPSUN facility in CHINA & the PROFESSIONAL & ROLUX in SOUTH AFRICA? Is this a fact?
Good work mate
Thanks rudi
SIMON good show thanks, but you haven’t mentioned if the COX PROFESSIONAL TPE CYLINDER MOWERS are made in SOUTH AFRICA or CHINA? To me it’s important to know where a product is manufactured? Thx cheers, BRIAN (WA).
Hey mate South Africa
I'm looking at buying one of these. Questions I have..... My lawn has a 30deg slope on one section - how will this mower go with a slope - I'm assuming I would be best to mow up/down or diagonally only - ie not across the slope? How does this mower go on the turns with the rear rubber roller? ie marking/tearing up the turf. I was originally interested in buying the Mow Master 22W, however I am concerned with using the Mow Master on my slope - i.e. with a steel rear roller it may slip even mowing diagonally - any thoughts? FYI - I have wintergreen - approx 250sqm of turf. Thanks.
Rubber rear roller will definitely help mate that’s a decent slope but so dunno if either will handle it
@@Chinnys89 I just did a proper slope measurement- it is around 15deg. Will this be no problem?
@@CraigVinyl sounds like it’s ok just depends on the length of fall
I’m curious, what do you do when the reel needs sharpening, do you take it somewhere?
Pull out the reel and send it for a grind
Great video. I am looking at comparing 20" and the 25". I have about 5000 sq ft of tiftuf bermuda. Do you suggest 20" or 25"?
Do you kow how to get the small spocket off up the top o the secondary chain of masport cylinder mower. My sprocket has stripped and needs replacing. Thanks
From memory it’s a keyway sprocket Remove bolt and get a gear puller onto it
Hi just wondering how it has held up wanting to fit some to a masport but their instructions are ridiculous
Mate going awesome
I recently bought the Mowmaster r22 8 blades and my old mower is the Rover 45 series 2. I don't know why I find the rover45 is easier to use, or maybe I haven't get use to it to the r22 yet. I'm planning to sell the Rover45 but I'll hold to it for abit longer now. Either way nice vid mate, the lawn looks awsome.
Great video brother 👍
Nice vid mate. Tossing up between a supaswift 20 or Cox 20 inch for kikuyu. Any thoughts which one would suit better? Cheers
Are massport and Morrison the same clutch ? I want to put a Honda on my Morrison current I have briggs do I new clutch box as the two have different size key ways, do you. Know here I could buy one?
Great question mate I actually don’t know the answer to that Maybe give the guys at brisbane cylinder mower Specialist a call and see if they know
Cheers man
I 've inhertited the Cox version of this unit. Do you know if the extra Predator cartridges are interchagable with the the Cox unit?

Hi Chinny. Great video. Is there supposed to be any up and down movement in the front roller / adjuster when the height is set?
Good question Preferably no movement but some machines do suffer from aging and worn parts with over time have movement. Few ways to fix it is to ensure the chassis bushes have no wear and also the height adjuster assembly is also in good condition.
