MEXICAN CARIBBEAN COAST VLOG: Isla Holbox, Valladolid, Tulum, Bacalar
Welcome to our Mexican Caribbean Coast Vlog! We spent 12 days in total exploring the coast line. Our personal favourite was Bacalar - it is such a hidden gem which we think everyone should try and visit (especially before it gets too touristy!!) Thanks for being here and we really hope you enjoy the vlog. Next up is: GUATEMALA VLOG
Food and Cafe recommendations:
Isla Holbox:
-Cafe del Mar for the best ceviche and shrimp tacos
-Taco Queto for the best and cheapest tacos on the island
-Clandestino for iced lattes and good vibes
Valladolid:
-Los Portales for local food which was fresh and so tasty.
-Cafe Onza for iced lattes, delicious brunch and rooftop views.
Bacalar:
-Mr Taco for really cheap but ...

MERIDA Food & Coffee Shops: -La Chaya Maya: Popular typical Yucatan restaurant. Food was pretty good. We picked the Los 4 Yucas (4 typical Yucatan dishes) to try. Our favourite dish was Cochinita Pibil. Price was 577 pesos (including a beer and margarita) equivalent of £29. -Manifesto: Coffee shop with cool interiors, friendly staff, but average coffee. Love the video, I’m so glad you guys enjoyed the start here. The only recommendation I would say is to don’t go south, the rest of the city/state is pretty safe. The Chichén Itzá fee is craaaazy, last time I went foreigners had to pay max. $300 pesos, you can get inside without a tour guide, you just have to be able to reach it, Ubers are a bit pricey bc of its location but in pretty sure there are normal busses going there bc many locals go to Medida to work or buy stuff.
Was there a specific tour you guys took or were they separately?

Hey! We didn’t know how to pronounciate everything when we first arrived in Latin America but hopefully you can hear in the voice over during it that we did correct those two things and say it right in the end haha😅 that’s what travelling is for, all the learning!

Hey hope you’re having a great day. If you actually knew us, we are very aware of how lucky we are and it wasn’t easy for us to get to this point. We agreed when starting travel videos that we wanted to show our reality and truth always, we are sick of social media only being a ‘highlight reel’, so the parts where we ‘complain’ is just us giving our genuine experience. The highs and the lows for us personally will be shown here so respectfully maybe these videos won’t be for you. Also, ouch that’s a little bit offensive for the northern Irish population to read…

How cheap are the rooms how cheap can one person live
We used AirBnB and it was around 977pesos per night! We went for a middle ranged price for Mérida. You can get cheaper and equally more expensive, depending on what sort of accommodation you want.
