@doughalldorson8663 That is awesome! Ha ha I'm originally from Nova Scotia, I have a brother and a sister in Sask. The 270 awning is awesome, we love ours. We had the hardest time picking the colour for ours. We're excited for you, we were counting the days for ours ha ha

Ha ha I think you covered all the bases for this video! They didn't have a long enough pin for an extra, but I did buy 6 of the spring clips (they had them as a pack of three). So I have spares in the truck and trailer! We wanted to go to Slide Rock area but had to change our plans because of the window.

@@PinayAndtheWhiteGuy Thanks couldn't tell for sure; was trying to judge how much max floor space there would be at the foot of the mattress for a small soft dog crate. The notion crossed my mind about completely deleting the rear galley to maximize interior space, since we have all the space in the bed of our truck.

@NeilDorf We have a full mattress in ours, but it would fit a queen. Boof (our Doodle) has a little bed at the section in front section. She's about 80 lbs and fits up there pretty comfy

Hi Scott! She found those little wooden boxes, I think they're bamboo, at Walmart. We want to thank you again for all your ideas and suggestions that you've given us. I found a roll of that silver insulation, I was debating if it would work just as well if I installed it on the inside of the fridge box. Have you tried that on your Hiker? I think you mentioned you have one as well?

Hi Alan, have never measured the tongue weight so I can't be certain of the amount. The fridge box itself is aluminum, the top rail of it is steel. The box I have on top isn't loaded down with heavy stuff, just the front air vent things, hatchet and stake hammer and things. Think there are videos on how to measure it, will have to look that up. Some interior handles would be nice for night time, when trying to close the doors. We will try and film more "trailer life" on our next video. Thanks again for all the great ideas!

Hi Kyle, my wireless mics weren't working so I had to use a mini boom mic from the wind, sorry on the audio. Thanks for the info on the battery, I'll reach out the battery tech support to make sure everything is ok. This last trip we didn't have any issues. I didn't want to drill into the frame either, so I worked with the holes already there but there was a lot of pain and cursing involved ha ha. Wish there was a lock and roll adapter for it. Would make life so much easier Hope everything is going well

​@PinayAndtheWhiteGuy your setup is awesome. The toolbox is nice. I have my battery in the box in the corner with two plastic crates next to it. I keep my cords, propane, are, etc in there. I made a walk through video on mine but after watching yours I need to step it up! Lol

I don't camp around here I usually go East to the White Mountains (Gods country) out there is Alpine, Greir, Springervile....that whole area is outstanding. Do you get the Arizona Highways magazine, oh do so if not. Had major back surgery in April so I'm limited right now. I'm a Spring and Fall/ early winter camper. I'm surprised you guys didn't melt at Lynks. It been hot here but not like your house....thats like Venus hot! I just finished tricking out my XL and load my kitchen stuff. I have a roof top mod which might fit into the garage w/o removing. Gotta talk. Happy trails

Hi Alan, what part of Canada are you from? I'm (Charlie) from Nova Scotia. We have seen some cool home made builds all beyond my 9th grade shop class skills ha ha. There is a company out in Edmonton I think that makes some pretty cool looking squaredrops. Forget their name though

@@PinayAndtheWhiteGuy Hey I'm in Ontario Thunder Bay. Actually there's not much to a Hiker Build. I'm in the process of building an awning for the use of a trailer that is only 5'4" high but can have an awning that will extend to 7" No Hiker option can do that. So building a small low to the ground trailer is my aim. Starting fall of 2024.

It's a great campground, and we loved that campsite. Campsite 7 was a good one too, closer to the lake but the road was a little busier. We were on an offshoot of the main loop, so less traffic. Thanks for watching!

I'm not a big coffee drinker but I like Tacktisquatch because it isn't bitter. The rain lasted on and off most of the day, think it cleared up after 11 pm'ish. It was really coming down. Ha ha ha always willing to humiliate myself lol

I know! We forgot to film how the Steak turned out, but it was delicious. Corn turned out awesome too! Klonie did great, we are so proud of him. He loved watching the birds playing. We have another trip planned soon, we'll be sure to get more food video ha ha!

Hello, I just measured the 270 awning and its height was 80 inches from garage floor to the top. We were also shown on the mounting bracket, that it could be lowered by about an inch if you drop it down to the second holes. Hope that helps

On the XL, they were called "Rear Stabilizer Jacks" and were part of the base Model. We did not have to get them added on
