The Z in the garage explained the Hiker color choice. ;) Nice Hiker for sure.
Ha ha it used to be a lot shinier, some day soon perhaps. Thank you, have a great day!
Where did you get the wood boxes you have on top shelf of galley?
Hi Bruce, we got those from Walmart. We just checked, sadly they are out of stock. The Home Edit 2 Piece Small Bamboo Organizing and Storage Bins Brown is the name we found them under
@@PinayAndtheWhiteGuy Ok ill keep a look out for them.
Kumosta from another white boy with a pinay wife. I’ve been really interested in buying one of these tents.
Hello! We've only taken it out twice and we've been really happy with it. It's almost like a little house ha ha
You guys are awesome!!
Ha ha ha thank you so much! Thank you for watching. Have a safe Holiday season!
Another nice video! And I did figure out what the wood stove was! Thank you!
Our stove is a Pomoly, works great.
I just purchased a used Hiker Trailer up here in Michigan and I am excited to say the least. I spotted a free standing stove with a tall chimney that I believe is wood burning? If so, do you have a name or model of that stove? I love the pace and video quality of your content! I will be following along... 🙂
I'll have to ask what model we have, she ordered it on Black Friday. The little hot water tank was extra, but it works perfect. It's just the right size, no need to trim wood you can get from a campsite Congrats on your Hiker, you're going to love it!
My thoughts “that’s not a knife “ 😆
Ha ha ha, I usually have a smaller one I use during camping, but that steak had it coming to them
Now this is camping/glamping to the 9's. Compared to what I do, holy smokes, but fun. I too just picked up an orange 5x9 Midrange from Hiker. It's a beauty as yours. Long live the orange Hikers. Happy travels, even to Disney! Ha!.
Ha ha ha my brother in law when he goes camping I swear just brings a knife, we are on the other side of the spectrum lol. Congrats on your Hiker, and best color ever!!! Safe travels as well!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you as well! I don’t blame her, the Star Wars Holiday Special is TERRIBLE! Even as a kid I could barely make it through that abomination. Thanks as always for the food porn!
Omg it was a mess, even George Lucas denies it exists. Chewy's whole Wookie family was so cringe. In fact that whole movie was cringe. Merry Christmas if I don't talk to you sooner!
Good morning from Saskatchewan ,amazing campsite and you two take camp setup to the max ,and loved the puppy burrito 😄🐶 I’ll be waiting for your travels We pick up our Hiker in April and then going to NY in august Safe travels 😄🌴
Good morning!!! Ha ha we go a little overboard when we go camping, but it makes it fun for sure. That is awesome, safe travels to NY when you go, have never camped up there. There are some big Hiker meetups on that side of the country, check out Matt Dewitt's channel, might fall into your travel plans. We'd love to go sometime, maybe closer to retirement ha ha ha
@ thanks we will check out ,we follow Matt and Wendy also where did you get your hitch tote above your fridge box? Thanks
The beige one? That is a Trasharoo, usually they mount over the spare tire but we have our water container on there in case we need it. We got it on Amazon
My bad, thank you Julie for reading your question better. That is a ROAM 76L Rugged Case, with the Rigid mounts. Did have to do a little drilling in the fridge box for it. It's not too wide to block the AC vents, and not deep enough to where it won't open fully. Roamadventureco.com , they were having some sales earlier this month
@@PinayAndtheWhiteGuy no the front hitch one
great video, looks like a nice little place for quick trips. What drone are you using? Love your doggos!!
Hello, I was using a DJI Air 3. It was a great campsite, especially on the first night when we had it pretty much to ourselves. Have a great day!
@ thanks!! Love your videos!
@caver6292 Thank you so much, that really makes us happy to hear that you enjoy them. Since I bought my Air 3, they have come out with the Air 3S. So might even take better videos than the one I'm using.
Crazy the skunks. I never see them when I’m out camping. Cool drone footage. I need to buy one
We were glad they were curious but kept moving along. I'm sure Klondike (our husky) would end up getting sprayed. I tend not to fly my drone if campsites are close and I think it maybe a nuisance to others, this day was perfect with no one around us and a breezeless evening. The sunset and full moon reflecting off the lake made for some great shots. Thank you for watching and leaving a comment!
@ Yeah. I’ve debated on a drone now for two years. I need to get one. Such nice shots. My dogs would get sprayed for sure by those skunks. Nice video. Keep posting. New sub 👍
@MoutainGuyAdventures Thank you so much. I know the sticker shock of replacing a lost drone can be a turn off. However DJi have a plan, you sign up if you buy one, it isn't expensive and covers the majority of the replacement cost if you damage or lose. I'm not sponsored by DJI or anything, it's just the product I'm used to using as this one is the third DJI drone that I've owned. Take care, thanks for watching!
And oh yeah, Klonie would be right up there getting sprayed. I couldn't imagine that drive home, that smell would never get out of the truck ha ha. Thanks for subbing!
Thanks for the food porn! Did Julie think she was going to outrun a coyote? Not that it would try anything, but she seemed very concerned. 😂
She saw it when she was coming back from the bathroom, she couldn't believe the dogs didn't react or that I didn't see it. So she was waiting up there until it walked by. He seemed like he was taking a stroll around the camp, we didn't know they were actually in our camp until we saw the trail cams at home
Good morning ,great video and love the dog content but you need more lights 🤣 also what is the brand of your cooker / wok stove? Thanks 😀🌴
Thank you so much! The stove we were using is the Snow Peak Giga Power Stove. Ha ha ha, that's a running joke between us if there is a sale on, if we need more lights. Thanks for posting!
@ sale or no sale your done with lighting up the universe ,thanks again I’ll look up the stove Happy trails and maybe we will cross paths one day with our hiker ,it’s -36 here in Saskatchewan right now so no Hiking 🥶
@doughalldorson8663 My brother and one of my sisters like in Sask, try and stay warm my friend!
@ small world ,where do they live we are in a town called Kindersley
@doughalldorson8663 Sister is in Lloyd, brother in Regina. I grew up in NS before eventually moving down here
Oil filter wrench would work so you dont booger up the plastic caps
That is an awesome idea! Never even thought of that, thanks for the suggestion. Have to grab me one. Thanks for watching
Good thing Boof was on a leash or that Big Horn was gonna get a surprise 😂
Ha ha, it was hard to see when we got there, but there were two males standing in the stone fence. Just caught the tail end of them by time we got the cameras out
did you order from the site and have it sent to Lake Havasu?
Hello! We did order from Hiker, and had it delivered to Lead Dog Motorsports in Lake Havasu. It was very easy to pickup from there and they were extremely helpful. Only downside was having to wait for others on their Hikers as they ship about 3 or 4 on one truck. But we didn't have to wait long. Hiker can sometimes ballpark it for you on the estimated shipping date. Hope that helped, let us know if you have anymore questions!
Not gonna lie, but just a tad disappointed that we never got the explanation for the new tent. That place is amazing with all the wildlife and how comfortable they are around people. You better stop giving away those feet pics for free and get yourself an OF account. Please explain how you lose when you shuffle the last two cards? 😕
Ha ha ha I still can't believe I screwed that up with the last two cards lol. LOL I feel bad for anyone who needs to see my flintstone feet ha ha. The explanation is the hook to have you come back for Part 2!
What a setup you have! Tent palace 😊 Exploding Kittens is one of our favourite games as well. We were there a week before you. But just day tripped from Flagstaff this time. We had a friend who had never been to the South Rim, but we had taken her to the North Rim several times. We also spent a day at Wupatki and Sunset Crater National Monuments. The campground at Sunset Crater looked really nice, and we've marked for a trip when we finally have a trailer.
We love our Hiker, but we do love our tent as we were tent campers in the beginning. We wanted a place to relax and let the dogs be off leash, especially on bad weather. This trip was our test run and we really enjoyed it. We've always wanted to camp in the North Rim area. We are going to look at those other campgrounds you mentioned. Thanks again for watching!
ur channel is so relaxing :) thank you for putting this together and sharing with us.
Thank you so much, that makes us so happy to hear that! Have a great rest of your day!
Nice Tent 👍
Thank you, it's so nice not fighting with poles. Thanks for watching!
What a lovely video! I've camped at White Spar a couple of times, as recently as last month. I like it a lot.
Thank you so much! We love it there too, we've planned another late fall trip, can't wait to go. Thanks for watching!
Found your channel a few days ago, while looking for Hiker trailer info. Really enjoying your videos. We're in Southern Utah, so it's nice to see what your experience has been in a similar climate. Looking forward to working my way thru your vids.
Hello! Thank you for taking your time to watch our videos. We've had our Hiker on several trips, if there is any questions you might have we'd love to try and answer them for you. Have a great rest of your day!
Thank you! I may take you up on that offer 🙂 It'll be a couple years before it happens, but we're getting into research mode.
We took some time before deciding on ours too. Nice thing is with most of these small trailers, you can get a base model and add things as you go.
It was funny, because Bean is one of the ones we've been looking at as well. Next step is we'd like to see them in person.
We first looked at Bean, and they were very friendly when we reached out to them for questions. We decided on the Hiker, after we looked at a friend's tear drop and thought it might feel cramped inside. We are both 6', and we fit comfortably in the Hiker. You might already watch them but PlayingwithSticks, Matt Dewitt, Where's Wiseman, and skywaystohighways are some good channels to help you decide what works for you
Look into Plasti-dip for spraying your clear elbows black
That's a great idea, thank you!
@@PinayAndtheWhiteGuy your welcome. Love all the hikers vids. Everyone who owns one has some great mods. Making plans to get my own
@chipdr911 Thank you. We got our trailer last year during their end of the year sale. Think it was $500 off at the time. They have a couple of new models out now too
We just ordered our hiker today
Congrats! Welcome to the family! Which one did you decide to go with?
@@PinayAndtheWhiteGuy we ordered a 5 x 9 highway deluxe ,we will pick up in Colorado in April ,we live in Saskatchewan Canada ,closer than factory Also they have a free 270 awning offer until Monday so we pulled the trigger 😄
@doughalldorson8663 That is awesome! Ha ha I'm originally from Nova Scotia, I have a brother and a sister in Sask. The 270 awning is awesome, we love ours. We had the hardest time picking the colour for ours. We're excited for you, we were counting the days for ours ha ha
Little Fockers ,great movie Thanks great video
Thank you so much, have a great rest of your day!
Nice to see two people who like each other enjoying time together.
Hi Jeff, and thank you. Although at times I bet she would disagree with that statement. Ha ha just kidding, have a great day!
I love Sedona! Thanks for the drive footage; it's beautiful! Yum, bao buns...feed me! Hey, the creepy crawlies in the rice are just added protein...lol. Bunny's campsite manner needs some work, haha. I think it's a crick, not a brook or a stream; I'm just saying. Please tell me you at least bought two pins, so you have a spare.
Ha ha I think you covered all the bases for this video! They didn't have a long enough pin for an extra, but I did buy 6 of the spring clips (they had them as a pack of three). So I have spares in the truck and trailer! We wanted to go to Slide Rock area but had to change our plans because of the window.
Is that the 17" galley, or 24"?
Hi Neil, we have the 17" galley
@@PinayAndtheWhiteGuy Thanks couldn't tell for sure; was trying to judge how much max floor space there would be at the foot of the mattress for a small soft dog crate. The notion crossed my mind about completely deleting the rear galley to maximize interior space, since we have all the space in the bed of our truck.
@NeilDorf We have a full mattress in ours, but it would fit a queen. Boof (our Doodle) has a little bed at the section in front section. She's about 80 lbs and fits up there pretty comfy

New subscriber ,great video we are between a teardrop and one like yours ? Any thoughts ? Oh and I love the Sasquatch decor 😀🦧
Ha ha ha a fellow "Squatcher"! When we started looking we were between the Hiker and Bean trailers. We settled on the Hiker because it seemed to fit a lot more of what we were looking for. If you're still in the research phase, we suggest watching Where's Wiseman (they have a tear drop). Matt Dewitt, if you search Hiker they will be most likely the first videos you see. Playingwithsticks camped with a bunch of different style trailers. If there's a question you have on our Hiker, please ask and we will do our best to answer that for you. Thanks for subscribing! @doughalldorson8663 You're welcome, and Happy Camping! Let us know what you decided on. We had a lot of fun going over our builds, making changes etc; hope you do too!
@@PinayAndtheWhiteGuygood morning ,I just watched your video again Oct 25,2024 and we have ordered our 5x 9 highway deluxe and get it next April Love your setup ,think we will copy much of it Take care and maybe we will see you down the road one day 😄🌴 oh and where did you get the Sasquatch flag? And sticker 🤣
@doughalldorson8663 Congrats on your Hiker! We were counting the days down until we got ours. We have a couple of Sasquatch flags, we got them from Amazon. The sticker on the door, came in a set of them, like 6 or 8 I think. They have Hiker meet ups, would be fun to meet you there someday!
In the galley on the top shelf you have wooden type baskets, where did you find them? Thanks
Hi Scott! She found those little wooden boxes, I think they're bamboo, at Walmart. We want to thank you again for all your ideas and suggestions that you've given us. I found a roll of that silver insulation, I was debating if it would work just as well if I installed it on the inside of the fridge box. Have you tried that on your Hiker? I think you mentioned you have one as well?
@@PinayAndtheWhiteGuycan you resend the email address you sent before for communicating off RUclips so we can discuss Hiker things
Nice location. Is Aspen on the same side of the freeway as Willow Lake? I've been to Willow kayaking but never noticed Aspen. It looked like you see out over the Rim. Getting cooler up her in Prescott might want to plan another trip here in a few weeks. Drop me a line if you do.
Aspen Campground is just outside Payson, Willow Springs Lake is just a few miles east of the campground.
Thanks for the tour--always fun to see everyone's mods!
Thanks for watching! It's always fun adding things as we go
love your doggos! Very pretty area! Thanks for the video!
Ha ha thank you, we're so happy that they've become little campers now. We are lucky to have such nice camping areas to visit
Green Elephant extendable poles are the bomb! I'm curious as to how you deal with the dishwashing water, I saw the supply jerrycan but noticed your sink just has a hole, do you just use a bucket? Nice setup!!
We really like our green elephants, very sturdy! We have a couple collapsible buckets that the sink drains into. We save the water for putting out our campfires. Thanks for watching!
Nice video/set up. I want one of these, the other day I went on their website and configured the one I want. The wife wants a pop-up trailer. I refuse to get a $10k tent.
We love our Hiker, the nice thing is if she hesitant about spending a lot; you buy a budget friendly Hiker and mod as you go. Thanks for watching and stopping by for a comment!
Hi, can you please point me to where you bought the crates you have in the galley (we need some that fit like that for our new HT). My wife liked both the wooden ones you have on top shelf and the big ones you have on bottom. Thanks much.
Hello! The galley is her domain, but she said she bought both the top wooden boxes and the larger bottom ones both from Walmart. Hope that helps in your search. Thanks for watching!
Can you tell me the brand of your dog bed, and where you got it?
It’s Colaroo, from Amazon. Thanks for watching! 🙂
That tongue weight must be alot with the tire and box
Hi Alan, have never measured the tongue weight so I can't be certain of the amount. The fridge box itself is aluminum, the top rail of it is steel. The box I have on top isn't loaded down with heavy stuff, just the front air vent things, hatchet and stake hammer and things. Think there are videos on how to measure it, will have to look that up. Thanks for the comment!
Not on the doors but on the trailer box by the door frame.
Good video...how about getting in and out of the rig. I added solid cargo trailer handles on the outside of the doors and soft nylon with plastic grip handles on the inside of both doors. Im not as tall but more Grey on the head and it makes for zipping in and out easier.
Some interior handles would be nice for night time, when trying to close the doors. We will try and film more "trailer life" on our next video. Thanks again for all the great ideas!
The big box on the front with the batteries and fridge sitting in the sun will reach 160- 175 degrees and will drain your batteries and overwork the fridge. Suggest getting one of those windshield silver RV protection wrap around and some magnets stick it on when camping to cool that big black box. It drops the temp about65 degrees. Another item for filtered drinking water is a Life Saver...20 litre of water and the filter lasts 20,000 litres. Not cheap but military grade stuff (British Military uses these)
Awesome, great idea! I sometimes leave the door open or cracked so the fridge can draw "cooler" air. Thanks for the heads up on that one!
Lol, thanks for the food porn! I love a properly cooked steak!! You can never go wrong with the OG Roadhouse. That was pretty cool with the constellation projection under your shade.
Ha ha ha anything for you Gannon!! I think he's called Starman, we've had him for ages but we forget to take him out. Just part of our minimalist camping setup we do ha ha. Hope all is well!
Hi! Are the bathrooms flushable or vault?
Hello, at Kaibab they are vault toilets. This campground does a good job keeping them clean on the upside
@@PinayAndtheWhiteGuy thank you 😊!
Two campsites we've stayed at if you were looking for showers and flushable toilets are Mather Campground and Houston Mesa. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching !
A few comments and questions. A bit low on audio volume, but lots of great info. 1) I had a Parkit360 but sent it back. I didn't like the way their universal hitch mounted like you said to the Hiker. I like your solution but didn't want to do any drilling. You should do a whole video about the universal mount and Hiker. 2) Sounds like there was an issue with the BMS with that battery. Probably nothing with your Hiker electrical system. Resting voltage LiFePo4 is around 13.4V. Charging is 14.4 to 14.6V. Anything under 12V will damage the battery and the BMS should cut power if it's doing it's job. 3) I had the same issue with the straps for the 270 awning. I ended up just using a truckers hitch with some good rope to secure awning. I'm able to really get some leverage on that truckers hitch to get the back bar parallel with the back galley and tie it off. Also, you might want to guy down the middle of the awning between the pole supports to make some gutters when it rains to drain the water. Thanks for the video!
Hi Kyle, my wireless mics weren't working so I had to use a mini boom mic from the wind, sorry on the audio. Thanks for the info on the battery, I'll reach out the battery tech support to make sure everything is ok. This last trip we didn't have any issues. I didn't want to drill into the frame either, so I worked with the holes already there but there was a lot of pain and cursing involved ha ha. Wish there was a lock and roll adapter for it. Would make life so much easier Hope everything is going well
Thanks for the extended tour. I'm glad to hear the drama queen is okay. 😂
Ha ha ha, I'll be sure to tell her!
i have almost the same curtain setup! good choice! love the artwork on the walls. i have a Discplate magnetic poster of a Deer smoking a pipe with a bird in his antlers! lol
Ha ha ha that sounds awesome, wander if I can sneak that into the trailer without her noticing lol
@@PinayAndtheWhiteGuy she will never know.......
@travelinwithTODD Ha ha ha, will have to see
nice looking Hiker. i love mine. i have a 5x8 highway deluxe. not many options. got the full size toolbox, diamond plate around the camper. i wanted it pretty basic so i can mod it out the way i want.
Hi Todd, we love our's too, it has been great. We were going back and forth on the toolbox, all of that extra space must be nice! Thanks for leaving a message!
@PinayAndtheWhiteGuy your setup is awesome. The toolbox is nice. I have my battery in the box in the corner with two plastic crates next to it. I keep my cords, propane, are, etc in there. I made a walk through video on mine but after watching yours I need to step it up! Lol
@travelinwithTODD We'll have to check it out, it's fun to see what everyone does to their Hikers.
@@PinayAndtheWhiteGuy i did my walk around the day after i picked mine up so nothing really done to it at that time. i need to do another one
Playing with sticks is a good channel!
Forgot about Playing with Sticks, we watched them trying to decide between a Bean Trailer and Hiker
I like the channel because they show you all different types of teardrops which makes tying to pick one helpful. Keep up the videos, love your hiker!
@ttteg2006 That is true, they do show a bunch on there, and gives you an idea what to look for. Thank you so much, have a great day!
