Good comparison. Once i was in train n i forgot my bose earpods with excellent noise cancellation.I used apple earphones and they r pathetic...all the train noise was filtering into my ears, music hearing was very mess, forget the calls i was not able to hear anything from the otherside

As happy as this song sounds, it's a sad song. Actually, he describes his life in a few minutes; In the first verse, he talks about losing everything. An important part is the death of his parents when he was 12/13 years old. In the second verse, he talks about how alone and lonely he is. He also says that he needed help because of depression and homelessness and apparently did not get enough help. I don't understand the reference to stromai (bad in french). The leonardi da vinci (The Last Supper) scene may refer to one of his songs in which he sings that he is god. The Black Guy with 12 Point is a RUclipsr who made clips about bulling. Joost has been bullied, and look at him now. If I remember correctly, his father once told him that he should keep writing poetry. The house with the mill is the place in which he grew up (with all the shit) and possibly burning it down, taking a new step into a new world without borders in which he can do whatever he wants.

There are indeed references to difficult periods in Joost's life, especially his youth. That was difficult because he was an outsider in the Frisian countryside and his parents died shortly after each other when he was a teenager. He has another song about waiting lists in mental health care and there was also something of mourning in the Lowlands, incorporated into his performance. Burning the photo at the end of the clip would indicate that he is now ready to leave the past behind him and focus more on the future, something like that. Nice song, huh?
