Garden defense! Deer and crows, an inexpensive solution for me.
Good day community! I'll show you in this video how I am managing predators/pests in my garden and orchard. Monofilament fishing line and some t-posts are keeping deer and birds out of my food area. This may or may not be a solution for you but I think it's worth considering.

Today I show you, the beginner, how I make a hat. This hat is 2 sided or reversible. I'll talk about and show each step through the process. If you're interested in making a hat to be worn in the construction industry, restaurant industry, or medical industry, this video is for you. This hat is made of cotton, nylon, and polyester, and is not flame resistant or FR rated.

Love love love your tutorials thanks so much for the pattern again ill send pictures as soon as im finished
Great detailed tutorial! My son had me watch so “mom” can make him some hats.
The best instruction/video I have seen, a big thank you
Thank you!
What fabric is best for this project?
This man is honest! First off I am already impressed that you responded. Thank you very much for your generosity . I will try this pattern very soon. My husband is a welder and I like to sew. I really appreciate your video because it is very detailed. I will share my comments on your video. What fabric do you suggest if you don’t mind me asking? I was going to go for quilters cotton. But you say cotton isn’t very good flame retardant. Any suggestions?
Thanks for watching. Good luck
Thank you for this wonderful, thoughtful tutorial.
How do I go about getting your pattern my husband asked me to make me some for work the ones he has are mediums I've thought about taking them apart and using it as my pattern but i wouldn't know where to start putting it back together....
T o much curve on the bill?
You can also overlock or serge stitch your edges
What workes really good is Levi material for the bill
I love your pattern and tutorials, the only thing I am having an issue with is getting the correct size! If I follow the exact pattern that I printed, I get a good size for my husband, but I need to make a smaller one for my son and I just cannot figure out how to do that. can anyone help please!?
Can I get your pattern for the hat please. Reaching out from Memphis TN.
Thanks for the video. I make tons of welder's caps. Been doing it for years. I make them differently than your, but in the end it is pretty much identical. I have slightly changed my pattern over time. Of course they are reversible, and 6 panels (Side panels long at the top) like yours. I use to install the head band, but eliminated that. Too much precision and time for that, and it requires long strips of fabric. However, I will occasionally use the head band for custom lettering, since one of my machines does embroider lettering. I make caps with long bills too and no bills at all.
""YOU-ALL JUST-SEEM TO FORGET SOMETHING VERY-IMPORTANT HERE, ""THIS IS A MATTER OF LIFE OR DEATH OR POSSIBLY-INJURY TO THEWELDER, ""PIPEFITTER-CAPS MUST-BE FLAMED-RETARDANT TO PREVENT A 🔥 FIRE, ""YOU DO NOT WANT YO ASS TO BURN-UP, ""FLAMED-RETARDANT CLOTHING IS A MUST FOR WELDERS, ""IF IT HADNOT BEEN FOR FLAMED-RETARDANT CLOTHING YOURASS WOULD-BE DONE BURNED-UP""!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh ok i see this one is 6 panel!! Yay!🎉❤
If i wanted to i could make it a 6 panel correct?
❤
OMG! I love you!!! I’ve tried dBK and others and they were coming out to small. You’re a life saver. The circumference is need is 21-24” of the head. Just probably your size is great!!!

That imperfection is so tiny! You can’t even see it unless pointed out! Anyone who wears welder’s or biker’s caps would be happy to wear it!
How can I get a pattern? I’ve been watching all of your welder’s cap videos and I would like to make your version as it seems sturdier than the ones I have made previously for my daughter who is a welder. I would be happy to pay for the pattern. thank you!
Reach me at Satilla10@ Mail.com for a free printable pattern. Thanks for watching!!! Good luck to you
I made two welders hats so far, but since they are specifically for a welder, I used 100% cotton fabric, thread, and cotton batting in the bill. I’m watching your videos because I’m a self taught sewist and I’m always looking for a better way, thank you for the details! You are a good teacher! Also, if anyone is interested in the Cherry material, I have the exact same fabric, I got mine from Walmart. I love the frogs!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks Mike for the great tutorial. Also received my pattern via email.
Good luck to you! Thanks for watching
Nancy, you're message is ine of the most recent, maybe you'll see this. The email that Mike posts is not accurate. Can you post here which email you used? I am wanting to make his version but just can't get through to anyone.
What is your email

how do you get the bunny ears out of the hats
Have you ever tried pressing the seams open? It may lie flatter that way.
You are 100%, I just don't have my iron handy in my RV!!! You know the deal. I am an amateur but doing my best.
@@themikedexperience5018 you're great! You took the time to make a video. I know this takes time to do and you've been making these welder capsule long before I have. I'm starting my first one today. I just printed out a pattern.
@@sarag1158 Good luck!!!
Going to make these to raffle at my next IBEW general meeting. Thanks! That looks like mid-weight sewn-in interfacing. I also don't see grain lines on the pattern. Does it matter? I'm a seamstress, in addition to a JW. Sorry for the specific questions.
Wow Sister, it's nice to hear from a pro seamstress!!! To be honest, I am not. The stiffener is peltex @3 mil. It's not cotton. I am unfamiliar with the term "grain line" but I did the best I could on the pattern. I would love to speak with you further since you are a GURU!!!!!!! Thak you for watching and my email is satilla10@mail.com, not gmail. IBEW#613, Mike D D876403
