APR PLUGS AND COILS INSTALL ON MY NEW GTI MK6-MK8
Просмотров 1,6 тыс.Год назад
THANKS TO APR! They made my Spark plug and Coil pack replacement an easy choice when it came time to replace the OEM ones. Typically nowadays if you own a vehicle with a turbocharged engine its recommended to replace the spark plugs every 30-40k miles. When tuning a vehicle with an off the shelf tune or custom, it is highly recommended to replace spark plugs every 20k miles as the demand agains...

CORVETTE COILOVER INSTALL W/ VIKING SHOCKS
Просмотров 4,5 тыс.Год назад
My corvette is almost 18 years old and has 90k miles on it. The first major big upgrade is shocks, standard the corvette comes with leaf springs front and rear and has from the 80s all the way to the C7. The shocks were worn enough to replace and we upgraded to a nice custom set from VIKING Shocks. This got rid of both the leaf springs and added full adjustability to each corner. The car rode a...

Suzuki SV650 V-Twin 12k RPM Hard Accelerations

2007 Suzuki SV650 V-Twin DOHC touring style bike running hard on the back roads in NC. Currently my first and only bike but this thing rips. Specs are about 75hp 50lb/ft torque making this bike a killer ride from the low to mid range powerband. Aftermarket exhaust, custom wheels, lowered suspension, custom seat(s), relocated mirrors for a sexy look. The bike does great around turns and carves l...
Suzuki sv650 and Suzuki GSXR600 Fast cruise

2007 Suzuki sv650 with 2007 GSXR600 cruising and passing with speed in the Charlotte area. Sorry for the wind noise, fix coming soon ;) enjoy
My leaf spring is making a ceeeking noise hence why I ended up here now I'm looking for coilovers
If i get these springs for my golf 1.6 tdi mk7 2014 will it be low as your car? Maybe little higher in front because the engine weight lesser than the gti engine. I want that fitment but only have money for lowering springs
Please remember your motion ratios or you'll be there for hours... Wondering why a 5mm preload turned to 8mm raise and 40lb delta
Did you have issues with your oil temp? I have an 08 c6 and even after I upgraded to the z06 oil cooler, I still can’t keep my temps down. Water temps never an issue. (I have run CMP twice in the past)
@@PBRacing87 on a pretty hot day and after about 20-25 minutes I get up 270 and that’s where I back it off. Biggest upgrade from my research is venting the hood which is on my to do list. A true aftermarket big cooler upgrade may be needed. What temps do you see with the z06 cooler ?
@@cdspeed I was seeing about 270-275 on about an 80 degree day and that’s also as much as I was willing to push it. The problem is it wouldn’t take but maybe 5 laps to get to that point. I do have a cam and headers so I’m sure the added power compounds the issue a little but 5 laps seems awful quick. I keep fresh fluids in it at all times especially for track day so I think the biggest thing will be finding a good aftermarket oil cooler like you said. Water temp is never an issue at all.
What the H&R number ? 28840-X?
How many mm are the wheel spacers?
@@DaviCupra 10mm front and rear
@@cdspeed thank you!
So let me get this straight: a) you say used oil is black? Whose isn't? b) those valves look spotless. You surely didn't clean anything with this flush... c) you say fresh oil is clean on the dipstick. Whose isn't?
@@beni22sof yours isn’t
@@cdspeed Yeah, right. That's a really mature answer. Anytime you put fresh oil in the engine the oil is clean. You don't need a flush. Especially after showing how clean were the insides of this engine.
@@beni22sof are you sure
Did you cut the stock bumpstops down or just leave them? Im about to install the same springs on my gti.
@@coleslaw1653 you can just leave them
whos the owner? @
I have no magnet, so I use a coil to pull out the sparkplugs. Same when mounting.
Say I buy the springs on marketplace but they are for a bmw will they fit my mk7 still
No don’t risk it
How are they holding up?
What's the gap of the spark plugs
What's the gap on the spark plugs
Curious do you need to sit in then in order to figure out the correct balancing weight ? Or just car itself is fine ? I been through many RUclips videos and seem like no one really explain this! Wondering if you can help out with this question 😅
The best scenario is to add weight, I use either a couple of large batteries or dumbbells in the driver seat with a half tank of gas for most accurate measurements.
@@cdspeed awesome , thank you for the tips l!
You need wheel spacers after lowering springs?
If you want to fitment of the wheels to be flush to the fenders for a better look then yes
@@cdspeed awesome 😎 thank you for the info
where is your shop in NC? looking for a shop to install my Crusaider 3x adjustable
hopefully i can get my new silver supercharged 370z over there soon. man thats a small track. ive seen some mayhem for point bys, ahhhh good times. always fun passing in corners
CMP is a great track for a 370z
#1 Respect the blend line #2 Respect the schmucks in the huts, they're looking out for your benefit #3 Get some seat time
Lol the shear amount of black flags waving at you. And you kept driving…. They are going to bring the electric chair back in SC lol. Glad it wasn’t a worse accident lol
That was a silly place to be given a point by. The pass looked ok, but I would've waved off the pass and taken it between 3 and 4.
I agree I should have just let him go, or came in on the first flag.
Do you see a possible problem with the exposed swivel(heim) joint picking up dirt and causing premature wear?
How much unsprung weight would you estimate that you've removed?
The fact the springs are metal it probably added unsprung mass. The only coil overs I know of that either match or reduce from factory setup are LGs, because their shock is inverted putting most of the mass on chassis side. I could be wrong but I wouldn't go coil overs just for chasing unsprung mass since the factory setup being a fiberglass spring is already pretty damn light; adjustability is the takeaway here.
After the Engine Flush is done, drain and fill with fresh oil and install a new filter. Then run idle for 10minutes, drain and refill with fresh oil and new filter. Now ready to drive to next regular oil change. Don’t engine flush every oil change, do it every few…
Are APR coils good? I keep hearing everyone having problems with them
lol flushing is for dirty engines, this one looks like new on the inside !
That engine looks like it has been well maintained was pretty clean before the flush but a good flush everynow and then will keep it that way.
I did it on my 2015 Jetta man it’s amazing really good
😍 *Promosm*
That has hit a kerb or a pothole to do the split in the tyre, and the spring seat has been rubbing on the tyre to create that groove. The shock tower has probably slipped in the knuckle on the hub. I know this because my F30 335d did exactly the same thing after hitting a hole!
That engine is clean the oil is dirty would be happy to see that under a valve cover
How much they pay you to promote the snake oil?!
It doesn’t do anything, tell the truth
Cool
Very effective product agree
Says right on the can do not rev engine
Just did this. I drained oil, new filter and added the cleaner with new oil. Ran at 2K for 20 min and drained. It was black.
You should disconnect the sway bars to eliminate potential preload. Additionally you'll wanna have it in race trim. Gas, driver weight and tire pressures set.
You want adjustable end links so you can do the balancing with them set
@@eag8999 the whole point of adjustable endlinks it elminate swaybar preload. After corner balancing it with them off you put them on with the car on the ground set the endlinks and recheck there truely is no preload.
@@hamburgerman187 hey im looking to get a set of scales and do the corner balancing myself. so im thinking this procedure: 0) make sure the car is on level ground, use adjustable platforms, shims, etc. 1) disconnect sway bar end links (4x) 2) load the car with driver weight and half a fuel tank 3) set the desired ride height/rake/tire clearnace by adjusting the struts 4) set on the scales and adjust the weights by changing the struts to get 50% cross weight and close to equal side to side 5) attach adjustable end links and remove any preload so the sway bars are neutral sitting on its weight 6) check and adjust alignment back to desired camber/castor/toe 7) go racing
If you do it multiple times it really makes diffrence on perforomance
Would it not be better to change the oil and filter first, then put the flush in the new oil, wouldn't it clean better the first time around? Tnen do a second oil and filter chsnge and see how much clesner it is.. Im going to try this...
One of the best RUclipsrs coming up ahead!!
Did you have issues with the shock sensors that said service ride control?
Yes, I used an old GM scan tool to code out the Mag Ride control settings in the BCM. A local GM dealer or indy shop should have a TECH 2 tool that they can use for coding to standard shocks
Good video thank you man
That engine was completely clean before the flush!
Modern engine oil contain detergents anyway so it shouldn't need flushing
Dude, that engine does not need a flush. Don't rev it, very bad. Make sure the engine is hot driven then pour in and let idle for 10min.
RIP bro
What happpened to the Beamer uploads. 2 and done, smh. Could’ve been a dope series! I just scooped an e92 pre LCI 335i coupe 60k original 1 owner and the tips would‘be been awesome
Sorry Ryan, Market went crazy and made some money on the flips. I do have some old videos of mods I did do that will come out eventually. What mods are you considering I still build these for a living and can point you in the right direction!
Did you put the 8” spring length on the front and 9” on the back?
Front and rear springs were the same length on my kit as I ordered them to be a certain spring rate. I would contact the supplier to verify which springs goes where
Put another filter and new oil in it second time runit then drain out then put your good oil in with a good filter and your golden 20,000ks
