    Very good video! I definitely enjoyed watching this video but however, there’s a couple of things which I need to point out. At 0:59 the 2006 Orion V CNGs(463-512) that Long Island Bus was initially planning on getting consists of 50 units, not 49 units. If they were actually delivered and ran in service, it would’ve been very likely that they would be renumbered to 1700-1749 when Long Island Bus was renumbering their whole bus fleet in March 2009. At 2:01 the NGs can go way faster than 68 mph, their actual max speed is somewhere above 70 mph. At 3:21 Long Island Bus ordered 40 NGs(1800-1839), not 39 units, if that was the case their numbers would’ve ended at 1838. 1804 was scrapped in 2013. 8:58 believe it or not, 1729 is not the final 2009 Orion VII NG CNG to make its final run, the 2009s made their final runs the day after on the morning of 12/17/2021 where 1728 ran the n21, n20H & n22H, 1729 on the n21 & n20H, 1756 on the n40/41, 1769 on the n1, n26 & n23 and 1782 on the n55 & n54, 1728 was actually the final ever 1700 to run in passenger service. 10:48 there’s only 8 units left on property, 1810-1811, 1815, 1817-1818 & 1824, 1814 & 1839 are training buses as mentioned in the video. 1834 was confirmed retired along with 1821 on 4/19/2024. And finally at 12:40 it is confirmed that the 24 new buses(2119-2142) will be in fact Gillig BRT+ CNGs which will replace ALL remaining NGs and half of the Orion VII 3G CNGs. Another thing I noticed is that I am very surprised that you never mentioned that 1797 became a training bus after its retirement, it got new decals for it too.

    Just got done watching the full video and I enjoyed it! Also I see you used my photo of 1728 on the n70 in 2:49 👍 After watching the full video I have some feedback, suggestions and things which I would like to point out. 1. In March 2011, Nassau County refused to pay the MTA a contract to resume all operations of MTA Long Island Bus, this would’ve resulted in serious service cuts and route eliminations, additional funding funding from New York state wouldve sustained all service till the end of 2011 but unfortunately never happened. In April of the same year, the MTA voted to cease all bus operations in Nassau County due to the county themselves refusing to pay the MTA. It was announced in November that Edward P. Mangano and Veolia(now Transdev) that the company would be rebranded into what we know today as the Nassau Inter-County Express. In my opinion this piece of information should’ve definitely been mentioned in the video but it is what it is, keep up the good work btw! 2. The 2002-2003 Orion V CNGs from Foothill Transit were renumbered to 1000-1022(ex-F1200-F1300s) at NICE, the reason why NICE got these was because of a vehicle shortage that happened during that time, 1000-1001, 1016 and 1020 never saw service at NICE and were used as parts buses instead. All these units retired by 2017 due to bedbugs and other issues, not too many operators liked driving these. 3. The Orion VII 3G CNGs were originally purchased by MTA Long Island Bus shortly right after they gave up all operations to NICE Bus so technically, the 2015-2016 New Flyer XN40s were the first ever buses to be ordered by NICE. 4. It was mentioned that NICE didn’t have the best service and had various issues with their bus fleet due to lack of funding, I’m happy to say that NICE has been stepping up on various things since like 2019-2020, as someone who lives by and rides NICE very frequently, I can confirm this. Though NICE still has issues with service and their buses, that’s nothing worth complaining about because stuff like that happens all the time under the MTA, SEPTA, CTA, WMATA, LACMTA and various bus agencies across the globe. 5. I think you made an error but 1816 was NOT repainted in the new NICE livery in late 2014 as it was repainted sometime in 2012. 6. There were buses assigned and stored at Rockville Centre depot before it’s closure in April 2017, the n2, n8, n14 and n62 were also based out of Rockville Centre depot before they all got either cut or restored by new routes. The depot is currently being used as a storage garage for decommissioned buses. 7. The operator who crashed 1756 believe it or not is still at NICE today, I’m surprised how 1756 was one of the last 5 1700s to ever live. And damn, I never knew a 6 year old kid died from this incident, may he RIP, he had a long life ahead of him 🙏. 8. I would say the major transit hubs for NICE are Hempstead Transit Center(ofc), Roosevelt Field Mall, Mineola Intermodal Center, Hicksville, Freeport and Great Neck. 9. As for the New Flyer XE40s, the will not debut service until January 2024 as not all the operators have been trained on them yet. 2080 was delivered the following day(7/6/2023). There is also an upcoming order of 24 CNG buses which will replace ALL NGs and a quarter of the 3Gs, model has not been determined yet. Also a question I have is, where can I get that text to speech voice? I have been interested in using it.

      @Thebusfanner10 10 месяцев назад

      Before I say anything Neil, I am very shocked that you watch this video since I am one of your fans. 1. I don’t want to give too much since I didn’t want the video to be too long but thank you for telling me !! 2. I never knew that 1000-1001,1016 and 1020 were used for spare parts. As a fellow LIB passenger since 2009, the Ex foothills were an ok bus. I spoke to some operators and some operators liked driving them but mostly they didn’t. It’s surprising to me that they were retired due to bedbugs. I know these buses had issues but I never knew they had bedbugs thanks for telling me. 3. The information that I got is MTA LIB ordered them but they were never built. After LIB left the 3G CNGs were built. The buses are technically the first buses to be delivered under nice bus. 4. As I stated earlier nice bus wasn’t in the best shape back then. I mostly seen there Orion V/5 breaking down, overheating and a lot of maintenance issues. This goes for the NG also, after the Orion v/5 were replaced by 2015-2016 XN40s the ngs (1700-1799) were the next buses to have many issues. Me personally I seen the buses clean under LIB after nice bus took over these buses at the back smelled like pee and were filled with garbage. I know this is normal around the globe but 90% of these NGs smelled like pee at the back. 5. I made a silly mistake I apologize for any inconvenience. 6. Thank you for pointing out about the N2, N8, N14 and N62. I was speaking to an employee at nice bus about the depot itself. He told me the depot isn’t used for anything and it’s currently empty but thank you for telling me this information. I know the depot was used as a storage depot like Amsterdam Depot, and 126 depot in NYC. 8. I 100% agree with you on this 9. There’s some part I agree with and some parts I don’t. The number one thing I agree with you is the XE40 will NOT come into service in 2023 but instead enter service in 2024. 2080 was being delivered on July 5th 2023 and arrived at the depot the following day. The information I got is that Only 1/3 of ops were trained on it. The thing I don’t agree with you is that the bus will enter next year in January. A worker at nice told me that there’s nobody to maintain the bus as right now. Of course I/him can’t be 100% wrong. If nice bus decides to go at a faster pace then this can definitely be out by January 2024. The same worker who told me this said that the XE40 will first debut on the N16 since Nassau community college we can both be wrong but I have a feeling it would be on the N16. I just got news about the 24 buses that nice bus ordered, as right now it’s unknown what the fleet will be but I mostly think it’s more gilligs brt plus Finally your question, it’s elevenlabs.io Thank you for giving me information that I didn’t know I really appreciate it. I hope you’ll watch my future videos it would be an honor !!!

    • @Thebusfanner10
      @Thebusfanner10 10 месяцев назад

      My theory is that Nice bus didn’t repainted the Orion 5/Vs since at the time nice bus was planning to get rid of them, the 3G CNG replaced the 1500s and the xn40 replaced the rest. You’re probably saying “why did they repaint the NGs”. At the time the NG CNGs were 4/3 years old, so it would make sense to repaint those since they had juice in them. When nice bus got Ex Foothill Transit they were repainted to the MSBA (orange and blue) since 1. It was more cheaper to paint them in the livery, 2. It really doesn’t make sense to have the same model of buses but different colors.
