£190 for an OXFORD BALL? We flew to one in VIENNA for LESS
My Austrian friends will be amused by this, my Oxford friends probably shocked. Since I came to university, the fact that a ticket to a white tie ball in Oxford is £190+ seemed like a bit of a joke.
This is why Bobby and I set out to prove that this is ridiculous. In February - before the onset of the pandemic - we made a short trip to Vienna to attend the 100th anniversary of the Elmayer Kränzchen, one of Vienna’s most established balls, hosted at the Imperial Palace, the former Emperor’s residence.
