Leaking axle? Buick Riviera Differential Repairs
If it leaks, it still has fluid...
Fixing the leaking seal pinion seal on our 1963 Buick Riviera. Unfortunately I need a different hobby because I keep doing this but I'm hear to help you replace your leaking pinion shaft seal, pinion o-ring and my secrets of using RTV for a leak free repair. We also talk about the history of the 9 3/8" third member/drop out center section/carrier assembly. Many of these things apply to the 1964 and 65 Riviera's as well as many other Buick models like the Electra.

Просмотров 8593 месяца назад
Let's get rusty in here... Today we are working on our 1995 OBS Ford F150 and repairing some rusty parts of the frame. One of the biggest areas that needs some attention is the radiator core support crossmember. We go through everything from cutting stripped bolts, body mount issues and finally settling the debate about whether you can leave the radiator and ac condenser connected during remova...
Buildling a DIY Air Ride Controller
Просмотров 8665 месяцев назад
layin' low with Arduino... Today we are building an Arduino based air ride/air bag controller for our 1969 (nice) VW Beetle LS swap. Unfortunately all the air suspension kits I found were all over $1000 and seem super complicated compared to what I wanted. The rear end of our car sits on two air bags and I simply wanted a controller to turn a relay "on" that would allow the compressor/valve to ...
Quietest Fuel Pump - Testing Walbro 255 and MSD Fuel Pumps
Просмотров 1,5 тыс.7 месяцев назад
The inline pumps of your dreams... I've been running Walbro 255 (GSL392BX) pumps for years on all sorts of project cars but on our LS swap 1969 VW Beetle (the pig) - I'm tired of listening to the super loud whine of the fuel pump. To fix this issue I recommend replacing it with a MSD 2225 pump. I now prefer these pump because they seem to last well and are substantially quieter. Here's quick re...
Redrilling Vintage Wheels To A Different Bolt Pattern - Chevy wheels on Volvo 240
Просмотров 9138 месяцев назад
The 80s are alive and well... well they're alive at least... I've always dreamed about installing 1980's Pontiac Trans-am/Firebird wheels on a Volvo. The first step was finding the GTA wheels on Facebook Marketplace for $300 - they were in great shape so it was well worth the price in my opinion. Unfortnatly wheels adapters cause the rims to stick out too far so I decided to get them redrilled....
How To Fix a Noisy Aftermarket Suspension - Bolting In Coil Springs
Просмотров 1,4 тыс.9 месяцев назад
If all else fails get the welder out... Hey everyone, on our 1969 (nice) VW Beetle I was having an issue with a popping/clunking sound when going over bumps?. To fix this noise I decided to bolt them in since my aftermarket control arms doesn't have a proper seat to keep the spring held tightly in one place. When I used a pry bar I was able to recreate the sound. I used a bolt in coil mounting ...

Click the link below too subscribe! ruclips.net/channel/UCPtX_10IErGI2Ka-dluvopw I'm installing two HYANKA 6x9 speakers on the back deck/package tray of our Volvo 240. I used a sheet of 1/4" ABS and wrapped it with Ultra Flex black carpet. The H Yanka ES-69 speakers aren't the best but for a decent coaxial speaker on a budget they get the job done...

Fixing Starter Heat Soak - DEI Ultra Shield MA
what was the process like to send the core support in for spraying? Considering doing it as well and not sure where to start with them. Great video, thanks!
This is gold lol
That was interesting and makes sense my starter went out after replacing it about 2 yr ago I have a1982 Chevy truck with a 6.2 engine in it
I just want one that has a 335hz/400hz combination
Great video
Thanks buddy! Hope you enjoy your air horns!
I have it installed in my Toyota Highlander and sounds incredible.Love it
Hey Matt did you ever get the car phone to work. I’m looking to do it to my Motorola thx.
Sneak peak… it’s working right now! I’m just behind on videos and am currently 3D printing a mount for it we had to design
I have a mount for that phone
If you mean a mount for your car.
Holy shit! A Christmas Miracle! I’m searching sales brochures and media but have come up empty handed for detailed photos of it. Most photos barely even show it because the phones cradled in it. Would you be willing to send me some pictures to my email at 12vfab@gmail.com???
@ I sent you the email with pictures of the holder.
Are you Josh Hawleys brother ?
“Oohhh yeah, deep inside her” 🤨
i have phone like this can u help me how to make it work i would like to make it to work with bluetooth module
Bro the same thing happened to me. I took her out with my son and a minute later I flipped it. It’s been sitting for 20+ years. I just stripped her down. Trying to bring her back
Did you ever make a video of doing the upholstery over the foam? I'm interested in making a set for my 79 Trans Am very similar to this!
It’s on my to-do list buddy! My list just keeps getting longer and longer and longer
@ no worries! I’ve been following the build for a while and now and it’s almost time for me to start my interior.
If you do nothing in this video buy yourself a fulk multimeter if you do anything electrical
My volkswagen just says "use hydraulic oil" 🤷🏻♂️
Thanks my dude I'm going to look forward to making serious money
It wouldn’t be an old Ford if it didn’t have a whiny power steering pump. The pump in my 75 F150 used to scream bloody murder when it got hot. I flushed it twice with Type F and while it still makes some noise it’s a lot quieter than it used to be.
awesome video definitely helpful and hilarious 😂
I swapped my TPS on my 93 Bronco 5.8 and it revs up to 2k when I first start it. Then it comes down to about 1250 when idle. There is also a whistle of some type. Only when I'm in gear at a stop or light, it idles at about 900. Any thoughts?
So the gauge cluster has to match the same engine size? Wow, I had no idea. This complicates the search for my 4.9 cluster!
Technically yes but these tachs are so inaccurate and slow to respond you might just get away with it. The pulse count between a 6 and a 8 is soooo close - but I have not tried swapping between them.
@MatthewFinlay I suppose I will probably be the guinea pig in that case!
Helped a lot! Thanks!
You talk a mighty big talk. LOL !
Awesome video man. Thanks for sharing
I’ve been looking for a detailed tutorial and this is it. Big ups bro. I’m working on a setup now on my car with space including a huge sound system the compactnesss is dead on. Do you have a Facebook or an email
I just covered and put my 63 away for the year. Is that news article show a white top two tone Rivi? Ive bever seen one like mine before and it was that way in early 65 when Dad bought it. Hope to see more Rivi videos.
its a bit wobbly!!!!
3:44 thank you!!! I did not know that if I use the high level inputs that don't need to install the remote wire. I didn't install the remote wire so I was very confused why the subwoofer turned off when I turned the car off.
very fun and cool design
A gauge attached to the fuel rail is worthless. You need a gauge fitting so you can hook up a pressure gauge that has a hose long enough to see while you are driving. Your fuel pressure can be fine when idling with the hood oped and drop dramatically under power when fuel demand is high.
I don't watch videos to watch clowns like you who think their amusing. I watch them for no nonsense information and straight to the facts. You have failed miserably.
where's the ground support attach from core. support to framers f150
Good catch! I’ve done two different things - connected the wires together and run them to the ground point near the hood hinge and I’ve also simply moved them to the nearest speednut/bolt. Both trucks are still work so it seems to be flexible
Thanks for the video. I have a junkyard with several rust free OBS Fords and needed an idea on how to remove these core supports. Lucky for me most of the front hardware is already missing!
Heck ya dude! I love a good field of dreams/junk yard
This helped me fix my Ford Econoline my transmission wasn't shifting past first and I was getting some really weird idling issues both problems started at the same time so I change the trans fluid, replace the throttle position sensor and the idle air control valve now this 212,000 mi van runs like new I was having a tough time figuring out at first because there's no videos on those Ford cargo vans so I decided to look into the trucks and it's basically the same layout just with the van you got very limited access and a little bit different setup
Hey, what kind of saws did you use? Thanks
Surprised this only has 576 views
Dude you actually made a really great video that surprised me. looking for exhaust gaskets and got a short film, Nice editing. Getting ready to install Flowmaster HP-2 mufflers on my 70' Dart with a 408ci stroker....challenge is I'm in a wheelchair. I'll be installing them tomorrow and posting video Saturday. Thanks again. Austin Crawford (Driven to Help)
Thanks buddy! And doesn’t matter what it is - they all leak haha
Shut up
Need more Bach and Tchaikovsky. In harp preferably.
I know a guy, he’s an idiot, but I know him…
This might seem like a stupid question but do you set your meter at the 12v setting?
Thank you everyone for watching - Ya'll are the best!
Great video
Thanks buddy, hope it helps on whatever thing is fighting you!
Cool video. Can you also use plaster? Thanks!
I wouldn’t in a moist spot… only because plaster is porous and I’m not sure what would happen. In a dining room or something similar - I wouldn’t be too concerned though!
@@MatthewFinlay It's a livingroom in this case. Thank you!!!
Don't forget heat transfer purpose.
Absolutely! Our roof sound deadening video blew my mind on how much nicer it was in the summer heat
I have 96 ford I got Electric Cleaner Spray and sprayed the connection to the fan good and it started blowing in all the speeds spray
Is it up to code? 16” extended out? If it’s 6sq ft or larger fireplace opening it needs to be 20”
Great video, I have this problem in W123 300D Mercedes. It is a known problem.
Unfortunately unless everything is perfect they really are a pain in the butt. My fuse holder is still going strong!
Mercron?
Thanks for the video but it would be best if you would stop trying to be funny
Thanks for the comment but it would be best if you would stop trying to be rude

Been battling heat soak in my 100% completely stock 2019 F150 5.0 coyote got a similar kit I need to instal. Started at 70k only when towing would just click. Now any day stop run in a store 20 mins or less come back put click try a few times starts right up. It never argues with the flywheel at over a 100k now
