The tensioner wears out leading to a loose chain which will destroy the plastic guides, eat in to metal and kill an engine. Awesome video mate. Here's something strange. I have 2 Rx8's. It worked on one but said access denied on other. The other has versatune software installed. Let's me access but not control.
Sorry to hear that. I’m not that familiar with the RX8 ECU’s but it sounds like a previous tuner may have locked you out. That’s certainly possible on other vehicles, although I don’t know for certain here.
I get a security access denied error when trying to control any of these PIDs

Awesome driving! Love that intake sound. It's interesting to see the carousel from the perspective of FWD, where as I can trade speed for slip angle, your rear wheels are kinda just along for the ride. Do you feel like you can still get a good amount of rotation? I know this particular day was very grippy.
Thanks man! That was one of my worst runs around the carousel... I was struggling to be smooth and get the car to settle. The CRX is extremely tail happy for a fwd car, so usually I get a lot of rotation into tight corners, but it requires letting off and is a one shot deal. In the carousel I am left foot braking and trying to keep it tidy the whole way through. It's just a game of how much power can I put down without going wide.

Realize that the difference between the old and the new tensioner is the spring inside it. So you can just open the old tensioner, and replace its spring with a slightly longer and beefier spring that you can buy from your local hardware store, then reinstall it..
I did this and the noise got much worse on my m44 1.9, what should I do help?
