Along with Junk Food.. Our food timings are very bad.. Should not eat after 06PM at max 07PM. That is a rule. A 12 Hour Gap is must for a good health and a flat belly..
While timings don't influence obesity, body fat and muscle mass directly. But, having food just before bedtime, affects the length and quality of sleep. Leading to other health issues. Having dinner 2-3 hours before going to bed, is best.
THIS is probably the best video I have seen esp for people starting out! Do you consume protein through everyday food or protein powder? Also do you adhere to weight *1.7 or 2.2 in gms should be the amount of protein consumption?
Thanks Sumit for your kind words. Yes I do, through a mix of foods (eggs, paneer, soya, curd) and protein powders (whey and vegan). I started with 0.8 Gm/Kg of my body weight and slowly increased it to 1.8 Gm/Kg, as my ability to digest it increased slowly with workouts.
I am 27 year old vegetarian guy, where i need to choose protein consciously but for that also on youtube there are many different advise people are telling, where its becoming very difficult what to follow, few on them below points which i heard. Kindly provide clarity over that. (Note: i wanted to complete my protein intake from food so skipping whey/vegan protein) 1) Avoid eating panner , its having cholesterol and its bad for heart health. 2) Avoid eating soy bean, it will cause problems to men in long term and there will be harmonal imbalance. 3) Avoid drinking milk, bcz majority of indians are lactose intolerent and very different to digest. 4) If i try to complete my protein level from nuts like almond ,seeds etc there calories are increasing then my ideal daily calories intake.
Hi Srikanth, I understand your problem. People are giving confusing advices just for views. I can’t tell you what to eat. But I will share what I eat to complete my protein needs. 1. I am vegetarian but have added eggs in my diet. Because no chick is ever going to hatch from it. I consume 3 whole eggs everyday. 2. I also consume whey and vegan protein powder and consider them absolutely safe. 3. I love paneer and have them almost every other day. I have done regular blood checks and can confirm that paneer hasn’t increased my cholesterol levels so far. 3. I consume soya also once a week. It is an excellent source of protein and I haven’t seen any downside yet. 4. Milk and curd are excellent sources. I take them both. If you find milk difficult to digest, you can try curd. Regular exercise makes it easy to digest them. 5. Agree on nuts and seeds, we can’t fulfill our protein needs from them. Hoping this helps.

Do you think that a person's relationships and their social circle indirectly affects their health? 2. Don't you think that only the upper class can afford a healthy lifestyle if we were to consider a person's salary and the free time they have during the day/week? 3. Some places in Japan have a culture to sleep after lunch. Don't you think that also plays a part in a person's health?
Thanks for your kind words My response to your questions being: 1. No idea on “happy hormones” but many studies point to the fact that just walking regularly uplifts our moods significantly. Which then would help manage relationships much better. 2. I don’t think so. Anyone can do pushups, pullps and squats anywhere and walk for 50-60 mins (you can check my workout video for details) Food is quite cheap in India. Eggs for example are super cheap and super nutritious. You just need to understand what and how much to eat. 3. Having 8 hours of sleep per night is enough. Naps are just good to have. Just ensure you sleep well everyday. Take care and stay healthy.

Even i am obese just started dieting its been 32 days and i have gone from 111 kg to 105 i beleive some of it was water weight but still i think i did good btw for more context i am 6'1 male so if i get weight around 90 to 93 kg its good for me

I believe it’s mostly because of our carb heavy meals and sedentary lifestyle. I tried keto and lost more than 25 kgs and slowly switched to low carb meals and along with 3 days of weight training. Doing this I’ve maintained weight and transformed my body from obese category 2 to looking fit. All the very best for anyone starting his fitness journey 😊

exclude Snacks, rasgulla, papad, and extra butter you are down by 33% in terms of calories. But I think no Indian have sweet daily. tea is main culprit. My collogues drink it like there is no tomorrow. I still don't get why people like tea coffee just overrated drinks.
True, simple tweaks in our diet, coupled with some exercise would change things significantly.

Nothing wrong, in fact I prefer it that way. What matters is the total calories, the total macro (carbs, protein, fats) and the total micro (minerals, vitamins etc) nutrition our body is getting everyday. Nothing is good or bad, it is just about the right quantities.

For an egg curry,i would calculate calories of number of boiledeggs+add some extra calories(50-100) based on amount of the soup i take randomly. And i try to stay in 700cal deficit so that even if i couldn't track calories perfectly in curries,i'd always be in a deficit .i think it works because its tough to calculate calories for onions,masalas,oil, vegetables (unmeasured) cuz I don't make the curries myself.
Good work Vinay. Veggies (onion, vegetable etc) are very low calories, so you can ignore them. Oil is something which can change the calorie count significantly. 50-100 extra calories should take care of it.
I am following the channel to lead a healthy life . Do you think calorie restriction and going on a fad diet is healthy?, Not adding ghee makes it healthy. What is the ideal balance , can you make a video on it

Constant calorie restriction is more than enough to reduce bodyfat.all those fad diets,etc they are just temporary and u just regain weight after u stop the fad diet.instead it's better you can track your calories and eat whatever u want.
Nice content and information. As I was doing the same mistake. But the problem I see is consistency, I am doing 10K steps everyday but I think in 1 week 1 or 2 days I eat extra that makes efforts to 0. Any suggestions on this..?

Calculate your lean body weight (weight without body fat) and multiply by 0.8. I would approx it to 70*0.8 = 56 grams (assuming 40% body fat)
@totalmacro For fat loss, we should take lean body weight or overall weight
If you are just starting, take lean body weight. Slowly ramp it up over next 3-6 months to 1.8 of lean body mass. Suggesting so, as the body fat seems to me to be on the higher side. 0.8 of total body weight should also be okay. But ramping up slowly will make it easy to digest so much protein.

Thanks Utkarsh. There are many ways this can be done, some more expensive, some cheap. I don't recommend going for high accuracy, but to measure in a way that you can see some trend over time. To do this, I use simple digital weighing scales which give a very rough estimate of body fat and visceral fat. Something like this amzn.to/3zdrwVn
